I had a dog with a disk injury. My vet said never hold a dog like a baby (cradling) and never pick a dog up under his front legs (like you would a baby). It can injure them.

I’d like to see Gunner and Mojo (Hidden Heights Farm) have a “meet n greet” just to see them together. 😂

I have a dog that gets car sick. I dehydrated some pumpkin and I put ginger in it. I give her one 20 minutes before we take off somewhere. And then I give her another piece 20 minutes before we leave to come back home. So far since then she has not thrown up in the car.

Poor Percy. He needs to hurry up and heal and get to feeling better. Vaccines can make an animal feel under the weather. Carl should be back to his ole self in a day or two. I am so happy that Dutch let you all keep him. I hope you can find your missing chicken.

I'm just a little bit curious as I'm watching your video and watching hope he said that you guys were going to be doing it together but I only see hopey doing everything and you just telling her what to do if you're losing daylight then you should be helping her instead of holding the camera.

I just had a thought about persy see if Dutch can trem his feet and see if has an abse in his feet

did they xray that ankle joint? obvious that is the issue point if not walking on the claws of the feet, could be something in the toes area also. I would at least xray the one that started the issue just to rule out a break in the joint as even slight swelling can make it seem like there is nothing there when hand palpating sometimes (same thing in humans - dr didn't think there was a break in daughters foot as palpating didn't get any kind of response, did xray and low and behold there was a actual fracture, she ended up with a special shoe to where for a while).

One of they put a brace on that leg so at least it will stay straight

I hope Percy gets better. I know you had the vet out; did they check for a hoof abscess? I know horses & cows can get them not sure about pigs. And until they drain they can be painful. Carl is a lucky pup to have followed Dutch home. Not unusual after the shots to be a little tired and feel off a bit.

I wonder if Perci had gotten his leg caught in the fence and puuled and twisted his muscles.

I'd get him fixed as soon as you can, it may also calm him down some or you could take him to an obedience class. That might also calm him down or help in teaching Carl learn not to chase chickens and come when called or do what you want.

Just a thought, tape weight them both. Might be a chance that you are over feeding them. Grandpa Doss Farms had to tape weight there pigs. Do to Heath issues.
