i kept thinking "haha isn't he forgetting a big obvious one?" and then you yourself spoke my thoughts out loud, very funny and chill video i watched here and there over the course of my day. thank you
So I've seen you say in other comments you'd be down to do more of this, but have you considered taking a look at breath of the wild? Link can outright BUY a house in that game, and can make several renovations, all with costs. You actually buy it for much less than it's valued at by the appraiser in game in exchange for collecting some of the raw materials, which would also give us insight into how much those raw materials are worth. You could then potentially compare similarly items in each game and compare their prices to get an idea of how much a house would actually be worth in other games(with some variance due to economic circumstance).
I love this video. This is a topic I never even thought of but found absolutely FASCINATING. One thing. I forget if you covered it, but I think a major issue with the whole of Kakoriko is the possibly tainted water source. Yeah, the complex at the Bottom of the Well is sealed up, but still if ANYTHING leeches out into the well water, then that water is BEYOND tainted. And possibly cursed.
10:07 - "I'm not past the whole bridge thing yet... There's absolutely zero reason for this to not just be a ladder..." ...Hmm. OK, so, it depends on if we think the purpose of this bridge is purely as a way to get to that central stump. Then, sure, it could be swapped out for a ladder. But what if the bridge is an end to itself? What if the reason for there to be a bridge *is for there to be a bridge*? The Kokiri forest populated entirely with people who look and act like children, with it's lack of enemies and whimsical feel and with it seemingly being guarded in some way by the Great Deku Tree... this is meant to be, essentially, a constructed paradise for kids. It's where the Lost Boys from Peter Pan would live if they were transported to this game. It's part town, part playground. With that in mind... I think the bridge is there because bridges are fun. You can run along them or under them, or (for a low one like this in a setting like this one) jump off them. People can stand on them to see (and throw?) further. We can imagine the Kokiri playing games with the bridges, kids seeing how many times they can run round under them without people on the bridge tagging them, or throwing things up and down from them. Get any
I loved all the random fucking around in the gameplay footage, bombing Saria's house, slashing the dancing couple in Castle Town to try to separate them or just walking around Zora's Domain with the goron mask.
Majora's Mask is the obvious follow-up, but also Wind Waker has a ton of enterable buildings on Outset and Windfall alone, much less places like the Private Oasis (which Link just straight up gets the deed to) or Tingle Island.

hey bro, just gotta say your channel is great just make sure to make a video and upload it as long as you find it funny or interesting or do a series on houses in different games, the cost of living on plants/ what you did in this video. but dont be a perfectionist thats the killer of fun and creativity imo lol just hoping the best for ya.
currently watching this while replaying again OOT for god knows how many times now.
I suggest doing Majora's Mask next. I'd love to hear your commentary on the Stock Pot Inn and the store with the river inside.
Missed opportunity not covering the Gerudo Fortress
One thing that might bring up the price of the Forest Temple, I’m pretty sure the maze is part of your property. You know how some big houses have hedge mazes on the side?well this one has a maze at the front. I’d say 15k with the maze.
Honestly, I'm just astounded that the thing on the floor in Saria's house is a carpet... How the hell did I never notice that? It always felt like a big, shallow 'hole' of sorts. I remember Link 'stepping down' into it, ever since I was a kid 😢 My world is shattered.
Okay. I subbed. Catching this channel before it takes off
2:53 Friendly reminder that Malon just casually delivers an entire live cow to your treehouse like it's nothing.
How did she even get through the forest? Trade secrets, i can only assume.
Kokiri Village is strangely accessible. Like a single bridge away from Hyrule field, I never understood that.
@@Levacque That bridge is technically inside the Lost Woods, so i always assumed that most people don't get through.
Although thinking about it, the Running Man is able to access the bridge, so who knows?
I think Lakeside Laboratory has so much potential that it’s certainly worth more than 850 rupees. Just imagine having a beautiful house by the lake. With some interior redecorating-like adding a glass floor and some exotic fish in the aquarium-it would become even more valuable, just like those grand aquariums in movie mansions
This video is great. I especially love the hats used to hide the missing head. Absolutely subbed
I'd love to see summations of locations from Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, and other video games like Mario Sunshine, Team Fortress 2, the various safehouses in Grand Theft Auto and Saints Row, sky's the limit really.
I didn't know I needed to know this, but now I know I HAVE to!
Great concept! I really think with some more polishing and tightening up you could end up huge soon. Would love to see you do more Zelda games too!
I believe this is a great concept as well, he should do this for so many other games. I do feel like it needs a little bit more polishing, but great work!
@@matthewkaraffa2317 I see a lot of people comparing him to Any Austin which I get we love to see mundane things explained for video games that's for sure. But an hour and some change is a looong time for a video that trails off a bit throughout. I really do hope he keeps going. Polish it up, keep attention better.
Looking at this channels history I doubt it would happen, but if you made this a series across some other really well known and loved zelda games, specifically Majora's Mask, you would absolutely get a sub from me
Video is criminally under rated lol wth
Bro it just dropped 3 days ago
@Faceplay2 ight tell me exactly what he's copying and from who? The only thing he's "copying" is talking about an obscure topic that requires alot of math and thinking, and you know what that is? A fucking presentation so no he's not copying anyone, unless you think a presentation is something that can even be copied then you should tell every teacher in the US to never do power point slide shows because they're copying other people 💀 I can't stand ppl like the two of you, yall would search a hay stack for a needle that was never and proclaim u found it, pls eat shi atp 🙏 since u wanna be the second sped boi who wanna try wasting my time
When you put the apple on your head I was reminded to like the video.
4:34 - forest is not zoned for commerce, sorry. existing shop is already illegal
i don't think you can make a case against the kokiri because considering the fact that the only things in the shop are sticks and nuts you can find in the woods im almost certain that the kokiri are just playing shop. i don't think they know what rupees actually are. i think it's a big playhouse because they are Children
Great vid. Deserves way more views. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great video! I'm really glad that you included the Forest Temple. Also I love your sense of fashion.
What is this genre of content called? Judging video game towns, townspeople, and houses? I’ve been watching a lot of this lately
Me too and I cant explain it to my friends properly
Now that's exactly the kind of nerdy shit I wanna binge watch, hell yeah
26:16 windmill is a public utility. Like the Clock Town Clock Tower.
Giving some yummy interaction for a small creator, I loved the video, a fun time!
This is great!!! Please do one for Majora mask now!!
i kept thinking "haha isn't he forgetting a big obvious one?" and then you yourself spoke my thoughts out loud, very funny and chill video i watched here and there over the course of my day. thank you
Why in the hell did I see this title and immediately think, “Yes…” just now?
I really love these kinds of videos. I've watched three honest job honest work videos about Skyrim this month
i adore these types of chill but nichely informative videos, especially when it comes to anything nintendo
Any Austin?
my thoughts exactly
Exactly
No im just really drunk
Just like with Redeemed Zoomer/Paint Explainer and other examples in UA-cam, here come the copycats!
This is the first time ive seen a land acknowledgement at the end lf a UA-cam video and i am super here for it
10:07 - "I'm not past the whole bridge thing yet... There's absolutely zero reason for this to not just be a ladder..."
...Hmm.
Get any
More of this for a variety of game series!
I loved all the random fucking around in the gameplay footage, bombing Saria's house, slashing the dancing couple in Castle Town to try to separate them or just walking around Zora's Domain with the goron mask.
This is the video we didn't know we needed.
And thank you for the original chant version of the fire temple.
Forget exterminators, you need ghost busters for the forest temple
Majora's Mask is the obvious follow-up, but also Wind Waker has a ton of enterable buildings on Outset and Windfall alone, much less places like the Private Oasis (which Link just straight up gets the deed to) or Tingle Island.
This is a very fun video idea.Asking for you to evaluate more Zelda games like this might be a bit boring, but I definitely want to see you evaluate more Zelda games like this
Perhaps in the future we'll see you assess Hyrule Castle.
Anyway, neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
Im so excited for more content like this
On the bright side, no Hylian mega corporation will even FIND the Kokiri Forest. The Lost Woods and Deku Tree ensure that.
I’d buy in kokiri forest, those tree houses are too cool to resist
Don’t need to worry about solicitors with the threat of them becoming stalfos 🤙
