Rimworld is the game that keeps on giving. I could almost picture going the rest of my life with no other game than this.
Ive been playing for 6 years and not only the gameplay and roleplaying posibilities, but the updates, DLCs, and of course mods keeps the game not only entertaining and enjoyable, but quite refreshing!!
@@AstBun1 I used to hate tribal playthroughs, but with mods and Ideology, I'm building a pretty kick-ass tribal base around a river with pallisades and bridges. We just completed a successful symbol burning festival. The only bad thing about it is my little maneating treehuggers are about to mutiny because we've "ravaged" so many trees... :\ But that's what the quarry mod is for!! :)

I'm from the future and you can create an organharvesting,drugselling,torturing,cannibalistic,psychotic,magnificent colony that can do so much more than the *wonderful* things I mentioned
Wish there was a way to refine ore and sort of thing, always put me off when you mined it straight up and it could instantly be used to make things. Also what about a few more ways to dispose of bodies. For example a mass grave or the option to just throw bodies in a pit and burn them. Obviously this would have affects on your colony's mental state
Nice, I love the new features. I was unconsciously not abusing the stockpile mechanic before, just didn't occur to me to use the system like that :D Pink Mohawk Colony eh, Challenge accepted, the PMC is ready for all comers. It'll really get crazy when modding comes out :)
Love the game so far. Been playing since this opened up to colonist backer tier. Those charge rifles are beastly. My economy now revolves around selling dead raiders weapons for silver then buying out slaves when needed from traders. Or buying out metal supplies. Looking forward to this further development!
This has by far been the best alpha I have ever played. Even most betas are more buggy and anoying. I have found far less bugs in this indie title alpha, than blizzards Heathstone beta which is riddled with bugs and poor UI choices , odd loading times and frustrating animation delays. I'm have not only been hyped about Rimworld sinceI first played it, but also for everything else you will develope in the future. Everything is so nice and logical.
Good question. I have a giant Google doc listing every idea I've ever had for the game. I keep it in priority order. I do the first thing. This process, done with discipline, has been unbelievably helpful. I could not have made the game without a relentless focus on prioritization.

This game has long journey. its b18 now. its teach me how is fun simulation game intended to. and then one day raiders stole my wife, dunno what they do to her, then, 2 season pass. Raid comes and guess what, she was among them .in the end she died in my hand. my rifle bullet tear apart her heart. its made me laugh and sad at the same time.
How do i update? I already own the game and love it, but i cannot find where to update it. By the way, Rimworld is coming along awesome! Alpha 1 is a huuge jump ahead! Thanks.
I agree, some kind of refinery to recycle these rock/slag debris which would be very energy-costy but worth it. Talking about energy, that would be the great excuse to implement some new energy generation like the coal power plant and even bigger(and expensive) nuclear power plant which could finally make some use of this uranium, teasing us for ages ! :p
Love the game! But ... the stockpiling area's are REALLY not my thing. I liked the RTS style stockpiling MUCH better. This is just... tedious. But... We'll see where you take it! In the end it's your game :)
You know what would be AWESOME? Well, If there would be some kind of a sandbox mode or something, where you could have something like that debug menu, you could just spawn stuff, get infinite resources etc. :)

Fairly turned-off by what I see. Graphics updates? Tutorial update? Ugh. Graphics were functional and I already know how to play the game. In fact, that "intelligent" tutorial AI is what irks me out the most. Looking forward to turning it off. Instead, give us tech. Give us upgrades. Give us a proper waste disposal system such as an incinerator. Rework the trade screen into something more functional. Make equipment racks take 10 weapons instead of 2. How about working the Construction skill into building quality in the form of tougher structures and less need for maintenance? Not too excited to see those stockpiles. The "Magical Sky Storage" was the way to go. Note that I'm a guy who loves Dwarf Fortress. RimWorld is glorious but this particular update was misdirected energy and effort.

yes, defenses are very good. except the more u have the worse the raiders... which cancels them out if you dont have good cover etc
