Tog season remains red-hot, with double or even triple boat limit worth of keepers. On the cod grounds, it's been a little slower for the cod, but the sea bass bite is just as good, with easy boat limits.
Great video! If this is your local area then we are pretty close to being neighbors! I was planning on going to this area Saturday and Sunday mornings since conditions are about perfect. I'm glad that there are fish there. There was another spot in the area in the 30-40ft depth I wanted to try since currents appear to be looking slower this weekend.
haha nice Steve yea its a good area with a good amount of shallow boulders. Some of the deeper spots are really good too but yeah the current can be strong in the middle of the tide. This weekend looks perfect for blackfishing I cant wait to get out and try again. See ya out there sometime!
Thanks Francus, I def notice a difference with live and dead crabs. the dead ones kinda still work when the bite is fierce but for sure not as good as live and the meat just falls out of the dead ones like instantly. This day particularly I really noticed they wanted fresh pieces...
its mostly the color white that I prefer bc it helps me see the line when jigging against the dark blue backdrop of the water. But I do like the x9 braid, I was always a power pro person before using x9
Hey Pete,
Like your style, I'm a kayaker also on the eastern coast. Can't wait to April.
Right on, thanks! Same man, same!
Amazing strike brother 👍👍👍

Live verses dead crabs???
I didn't notice a difference. Did you? At the end, were those dead crabs? Live ? or Mixed?

Pre-she-ate-it.
Hey Peter. Any particular reason you use crystal line? I always use moss green. I got a new reel to fill
