Pharotep & Cofagrigus would have a symbiotic relationship: Pharotep sleeps within Cofagrigus to hide itself and stay safe until it wakes up. In return, Pharotep stands guard and protects Cofagrigus when it sleeps.
@PenguiNova-mq2lw THIS IS HALLOWEEN, EVERYBODY MAKE A SCENE TRICK OR TREAT ''TILL THE NEIGHBORS DIE OF FRIGHT'' ITS OUR TOWN EVERYBODY SCREAM IN THIS TOWN OF HALLOWEEN!!!
Wild idea for Lupup; It itself doesn't evolve, rather, if you have Lupup bite a humanoid non-third stage pokemon (so like Machoke would be a great example here), then you catch said mon & leveled it up at night, that pokemon evolves into Lycanight. Or if you want something way easier to work with, have Lupup get hit by Blood Moon once then revive it during the night.
I like the idea of when a Pharotep is old, or horribly sick, or whatever- when they’re ready to die, or pass on, they give themselves up to Cofagregis. Why they do this or what benefit it has for Cofagregis aside from providing food is completely unknown to scientists. But Cofagregis seems to have a lot of genuine respect for Pharotep’s sacrifices.
Could just be ancient kings and queens doing that, as Cofagrigus turn people into mummies if I remember correctly, which could result in Oteps that wander around and I dunno, maybe hide inside tombs and curse people that enter them, inspired by the curse of King Tut's tomb. Pharoteps could serve as singular organizers and leaders of the ghost types within these hidden tombs, regaining their regal status and power in death after evolution. Maybe they alter the tomb to be larger on the inside than the outside by connecting it to the spirit realm, and it could command its underlings to collect things outside for it to enjoy at its leisure, like how Egyptian kings were buried with their treasures to use in the Field of Reeds. Maybe they worship an Osiris-inspired Legendary, I dunno, I'm just spitballing.
New Ability for Lupup, Moonlight curse. So only about half of Lupups have this and if it is night time, the Pokémon against it gets poisoned, AND falls asleep. If a Lupup has this ability, use a use a moonstone on the full moon to evolve it into Lycanight. I believe the werewolf Pokémon should be poison type, but maybe it can be a split evo.
i imagine if voltegrim was animated that you'd see the faces of the connector bits pop out on occasion as for pharotep and cofagrigus i'd think they have either a neutral or beneficial relationship, pharotep is a lot more limber and can worm their way into many a space that cofagrigus simply cant without pokeball transportation, while cofagrigus is pretty good security detail to have lurking around. Really i just think that their niche roles in a world setting are different enough that the main conflict i could see the 2 lines having is from any mishaps with otep and yamask (played too rough and now someone 3 miles away knows there's yamask in the region).
Great series. :D Honestly, these guys would so work for a Halloween themed gym leader. XD I can totally see them opening using these guys to hand out candy or scares now. XD
for Lupup Evolution line the Bloodied State Mechanic; certain moves induce it (things like scratch, you get the drift) and you have to Bloody (think old school Poison but stronger) and you have to give the Effect to 5 Pokemon and make it howl at the moon while holding a Moonstone. (the reply relies on Game Designer Willingness to make something a little more locked than Wurmple's Cascoon-Silcoon situation).
or you could make a split evolution (not Lycanight) for Lupup that focuses on the Fear Status Mechanic. it works by making Sound Based Moves and things like Bite inflict this special status (like the Bloodied State, or Burn, Poisoned... etc) on it's own it just lowers all stats by one for one-turn but if the opponent is unlucky they start howling they enter a state similar to Sleep or Freeze. same thing as the Bloodied State Mechanic otherwise.
Lupup evolves, when holding a moon stone at night, and it must be out of its pokeball, if it's inside, it does not evolve, it may even evolve mid battle
Really dig the concept of Lycanight having this shaggy wolf skin! Feels very much in spirit with tales of shapeshifting Berserkers from Norse mythology, warriors who would wear bear/wolf skins and become bloodthirsty warriors. *EDIT AFTER WATCHING* Oh and you absolutely should do more videos based on old school movie monsters! This was a really fun video and I loved your more indirect take on Frankenstein's monster!
12:38 Um, if you're referring to Lycanroc midnight form or dusk form, neither of them is part dark type. All three forms are pure rock type like Rockruff.
I think I like the Pharotep line the most so far! They'd probably have Mummy and Cursed Body as abilities for obvious reasons. As for future monsters, I'd love to see your take on the Invisible Man, since that one may be one closer to mind than others.
22:55 I figured you'd included it because it looks like a lightning bolt, which is famously part of what animated ol' Frank's creation. 24:00 You really did a good job on the scratch marks and weathering. I didn't really notice them until you pointed them out, but I guess that's proof that they're doing their job - they blend in and just feel like part of the design instead of being obtrusive. 25:00 Real lightning can actually be purple, just not necessarily that bright and saturated.
For pharotep I think it be fun to be sort of like a toxapex: HP-40 Atk-53 Def-142 Spa-63 Spdf-152 Spd-45 Abilities: mummy, sand rush (HA: sand veil) Sig move- Pharaohs Curse: pharotep starts up an ominous sandstorm. All other pokemon on the field become poisoned. The idea is it’s not actually gonna do much damage but can take hits and keep coming. It can set up status and g-drain. Like the mummy’s curses it might not do a lot up front but will have a lingering effect in the battle like curse, infestation status. For Voltegrim let’s switch Attack and Spdf and Spak and Def. It has a signature ability called enraged which basically is the weakness policy as an ability. And maybe levitate as an ability. No it pulls more from the story how Frankensteins monster wasn’t necessarily bad but was enraged by things like fire. Have it be a gentle giant but when you provoke it with a super effective move it can fight back. You can give it a weakness policy to double the boost you get, or assault vest/ focus sash to guarantee you get the boost
I'm pretty sure Pharotep and our lovely little coffin would probably be a tag team to hunt intruders of all kinds to their territories. Maybe we get lycanite by getting to level 25, knowing the move bite, and then fighting a human-like pokemon like Mr. Mime? since he's kinda a reverse werewolf (going from wolf to man-wolf)
For Lupup's evo method maybe it has to use a biting move at night on another type of pokemon I really want to see an Igor pokemon in the style of Indeedee, a servant pokemon at the spooky region pokemon center that helps patch up your injured mons. Also I NEED to see the invisible man, a mon with an invisible body that makes itself 'clothes' so it can be seen but can shed them to hide completely invisibly like a Kecleon sounds like a really cool design, you get to try and form a body shape around the actual body.
I think it would be very interesting if we could evolve Lupup through double battles, with two evolution possibilities, fighting against/alongside a Lunatone or a fellow Pokemon using Moonblast or Moonlight, as if imitating the effect of the moon on our little one werewolf
Interesting and Badass designs for the Universal Horror Monsters as Pokemon! I LOVE the Pharotep, it looks so Epic and Powerful! Fantastic on making it a Serpent Pharoah Mummy, I would so Catch it! The Lycanight looks Badass and Beastly, I Love it! A Perfect Wolfman/Werewolf Fakemon! Maybe it could only Evolve when it's a Full-Moon, or through a Moon Stone! XD And Voltegrim looks Stronk and Marvelous, very Interesting Design! I hope you do more Horror Monsters as Pokemon! How about the Ancient Gillman Creature from the Black Lagoon, or the Grand Vampire Dracula (the Son of the Dragon)? And I would LOVE to see Godzilla(either the Original Version or the Minus One Version) as an ALL-POWERFUL (Atomic)Horror (part Dragon type)Legendary Fakemon! XD As well as Cthuhlu as a (Lovecraftian)Horror Legendary Fakemon!
Otep and Pharotep - Sand veil, Cursed Body / Mummy Lupup - Intimidate, Ball Fetch / Moxie Lycanight - Intimidate, Strong Jaw/ Moxie Boltewatt - Motor drive, Clear Body / Volt absorb Motor drive, Iron Fist / Volt absorb
I would give Voltegrim Levitate for its ability, the first reason is because it’s floating in the air, so it will make sense. The second reason is for a competitive reason and it does kind of go with the first reason, but levitate prevent you from being hit by ground type moves, so it gets rid of major weakness, considering that electric types and steel types are weak to ground types
Loved this! (Fun fact, I am watching this video with my Draculus and Frankentron transformers by my side) I feel like the most obvious ability for Pharotep would be Mummy HOWEVER another way to symbolize the curse so often associated with mummies and pyramids I feel like an ability that, once Pharotep is defeated, affects the opposing pokemon with a random condition would be much funny and much more unpredictable. Hope this series contiues, I would be really curious to see if we'll get a bride for Voltegrim: would it be just a case of sexual dimorphism? Would it be a Nidoking/Nidoqueen situation? Would it be a Grimmsnarl/Hatterene situation? So many possibilities!
I think it would be cool to see a Dex entry that talks about how pharotep were once people who were laid to rest in cofagrigus and were rose from the dead because of the ghostly energy inside of Cofogrigus. Or even an entry that talks about how cofogrigus love Pharotep but pharotep fear cofogrigus.
Very cool concept designs for our classic horror monsters, for pharotep it's move could be called sand tomb, for lycanight it can have the move called crescent claw, and for voltegrim it can have the move volt up which increases electric moves (also I would definitely want to add lycanight to my team)
The thing I'm seeing here is the main crew from Hotel Transylvania. It would just be funny if for part 2 we do a vampire, an Invisible Man, and a vampire hunter (cause Van Helsing was in the last two movies)
In my honest opinion, I feel like Lupup could evolve by having the evolution method be related to its "Pelt" (Second layer of fur?) Perhaps have an evolutionary held-item that only works at night: the transformation isn't related to the pokémon, its the item. Perhaps a strange cursed rune that ACTIVATES under the moonlight, allowing it to be used on Lupup (and other moon related Pokémon like Clefairy?)
I would have all these on my team if i could and if i were a ghost gym leader or elite four i would use Pharotep as my ace or a Voltegrim simply because i can and i see my pokemon character being a spooky game maker or scientist maybe they helped make the gym trial before it opened up, these are really cool designs look forward to mkre
I really like the scratched metal texture. Tho I do think you need to be careful with the placement, directions, and amount of the lines because I think it could easily be misread as short fur texture if not handled properly
To evolve lupup into lycanight . Moon stone under a full moon similar to ursaluna minis the moon stone. Or use 20 moon related moves like moonlight and moonblast then level up under the full moon. Or use 20 bite moves.
I like the idea of these being pokemon that dont exist in the pokemon world, but are creations of hollywood for the pokemon version of the monster movies
My idea for Lupup evolution into Lycanight is that there conditions must be met. 1) Holds item know as a Wild Pelt. 2) Must be night. 3) Level up to level 30 or higher.
I once had an idea of a Pokemon region and my idea for Box Art Legendaries was actually based on classic Universal Monsters instead of the usual mythical figure oe deep folklore like many Legendaries tend to be. The two version Legendary Pokemon were based on Frankenstein and Dracula respectively, while the third Legendary Pokemon was basically the Mummy or powerful pharaoh Pokemon in a DLC story.
I try to give a french name for every fakemon here so Amômetep (for otep)from Amenhotep and Môme (familiar term to say kid) Apoutyou (Pharotep) from Apep a snake god from Egyptian mythology and outyou name given to the embalmers priest in ancien egypt. For this one I want to give an unfrench-like name for emphasize the “coming from afar” aspect Garouloup (Lupup) from Loup-garou(werewolf) upside down to form the sentence "gare aux loups" (beware of wolves) Bestianthrope (Lycanight) from bestiale (bestial) and Lycanthrope (Lycanthrope) Cobalab (Boltewatt) from Cobaye (a guinea pig) and laboratoire (laboratory) Parakenstein (Voltegrim) from Paratonnerre (Lightning rod) and frankenstein All done
I feel like if you do the visible man pokemon would be more like a ghost pokemon possessing items that looks like it's a person/pokemon and it can be ghost/psychic type.
Your drawing was great 😎I challenge you to design Alan Becker characters in the form of Pokemon. It will be a difficult challenge, but I hope you accept it 😅
11:25 what you are describing is Gabumon. 14:44 Channeling Incineroar 15:45 Something about the shading is not strongly implying its wearing a coat or pelt. 17:18 Frankenstein was the scientist, not the monster.
Unsolicited critique: the wolfman design is super strong, but you added round shape language in just the one side of the shading process, when the line work and rest of the shading has really angular design motifs, could probably strengthen it even more if you sharpened those a little
Those new Pokemon designs of monsters are very amazing designing gave me another idea for a spooky story I like to share with you this scary movie story about Re-Animator is an old movie from the year 1985 and here a story about it Re-Animator (also known as H. P. Lovecraft's Re-Animator) is a 1985 American science fiction comedy horror film loosely based on the 1922 H. P. Lovecraft serial novelette "Herbert West-Reanimator". Directed by Stuart Gordon and produced by Brian Yuzna, the film stars Jeffrey Combs as Herbert West, a medical student who has invented a reagent that can re-animate deceased bodies. He and his classmate Dan Cain (Bruce Abbott) begin to test the serum on dead human bodies, and conflict with Dr. Carl Hill (David Gale), who is infatuated with Cain's fiancée (Barbara Crampton) and wants to claim the invention as his own. Here, let me explain to you the plot of the story: At the University of Zurich Institute of Medicine in Switzerland, Herbert West brings his dead professor, Dr. Hans Gruber, back to life. There are horrific side effects, however; as West explains, the dosage was too large. When accused of killing Gruber, West counters: "I gave him life!" West arrives at Miskatonic University in Arkham, Massachusetts to further his studies as a medical student. He rents a room from fellow medical student Dan Cain and converts the house's basement into his laboratory. West demonstrates his reanimating reagent to Dan by reanimating Dan's dead cat Rufus. The cat behaves viciously that night, forcing Dan to kill it again before West reanimates what is left of it, convincing Dan that West's reagent works. Dan's fiancée Megan Halsey, daughter of the medical school's dean, walks in on this experiment and is horrified. Dan tries to tell the dean about West's success in reanimating the dead cat, but the dean does not believe him. When Dan insists, the dean implies that Dan and West have gone mad. Barred from the school, West and Dan sneak into the morgue to test the reagent on a human subject in an attempt to prove that the reagent works, and thereby salvage their medical careers. The corpse they inject comes back to life but in a frenetic and violent zombie-like state. Dr. Halsey stumbles upon the scene and is killed by the reanimated corpse, which West then kills with a bone-saw. Excited at the prospect of working with a freshly dead specimen, West injects Dr. Halsey's body with his reanimating reagent. Dr. Halsey returns to life, also in a zombie-like state. Megan chances upon the scene, and is hysterical. Dan collapses in shock. Dr. Halsey's colleague Dr. Carl Hill, a professor and researcher at the hospital, takes charge of Dr. Halsey, whom he puts in a padded observation cell adjacent to his office. He carries out a surgical operation on him, lobotomizing him. During this operation, he discovers that Dr. Halsey is not sick, but dead and reanimated. Dr. Hill goes to West's basement lab and attempts to blackmail him into surrendering his reagent and notes, hoping to take credit for West's discovery. West offers to demonstrate the reagent and puts a few drops of it onto a microscope slide with dead cat tissue. As Dr. Hill peers through the microscope at this slide, West climbs him from behind with a shovel and then decapitates him with it. West then reanimates Dr. Hill's head and body separately. While West is questioning Dr. Hill's head and taking notes, Dr. Hill's body sneaks up behind him and knocks him unconscious. The body carries the head back to Dr. Hill's office, with West's reagent and notes. In his re-animated state, Dr. Hill acquires the ability to control other re-animated corpses telepathically, after conducting brain surgery on them. He then directs Dr. Halsey to snatch Megan away from Dan. While being carried to the morgue by her reanimated father, Megan faints. When she arrives, Dr. Hill strips her naked and straps her unconscious body to a table. She regains consciousness as Hill's body and bloody, severed head begins to sexually assault her. Hill's body starts to place his head between Megan's legs but is interrupted by the arrival of West and Dan. West distracts Dr. Hill while Dan frees Megan. Dr. Hill reveals that he has reanimated and lobotomized several corpses from the morgue, rendering them susceptible to mind control as Halsey is. However, Megan's voice reawakens a protectiveness in her father, who fights off the other corpses as Dan and Megan escape. In the ensuing chaos, West injects Dr. Hill's body with a lethal overdose of the reagent. Dr. Hill's body mutates rapidly and attacks West, who screams out to Dan to save his work before being pulled away by Dr. Hill's monstrous entrails. Dan retrieves the satchel containing West's reagent and notes. As Dan and Megan flee the morgue, one of the reanimated corpses attacks and strangles Megan. Dan takes her to the hospital emergency room and tries to revive her, but she is dead. In despair, he injects her with West's reagent. After the scene fades to black, Megan, apparently revived, can be heard screaming. What do you think about it is a spooky story I told you about and also I want to see a Pokemon design of it next week on Halloween ❤🫣👍
@thesterninator I didn't know that you like those old movies that you like maybe next week I'm going to tell you a spooky next story called Street Trash what do you think 🤔
I will refrain from making Pokédex’s, SOLELY… because I haven’t seen these movies and I don’t think I can do them justice. That being said, does anyone know where I can watch these movies?

I do dig that idea!
I was gonna suggest it has to get hit by moonblast without dying, but that would probably be hard for an unevolved dark type
Putting the 'Monster' back in 'Pocket Monsters'.
True
Ooo! Part two featuring Invisible man, Jekyl and Hyde, and Phantom of the Opera?!
Yooooo what if the jeykll and hyde was a split evolution or mechanic like at night it could transform from the jekyl to hyde
I like the idea of when a Pharotep is old, or horribly sick, or whatever- when they’re ready to die, or pass on, they give themselves up to Cofagregis. I feel like Voltegrim's shiny references how a lot of Frankenstein's Monsters are 'green' and 'rotten' looking, if I was to guess the inspiration.

Midnight Lycanroc is not a Dark-type. Common misconception
The Otep line just having Mummy as an ability
Lupup evolves, when holding a moon stone at night, and it must be out of its pokeball, if it's inside, it does not evolve, it may even evolve mid battle

Frankenstein was the doctor. The monster literally is called Frankenstein’s Monster. But the real monster was Doctor Frankenstein
22:55 I figured you'd included it because it looks like a lightning bolt, which is famously part of what animated ol' Frank's creation.

For pharotep I think it be fun to be sort of like a toxapex:
HP-40
Atk-53

Abilities: mummy, sand rush (HA: sand veil)

Frankstein's monster evolution should have an ability called Revive, basically if in a double match it can wake a pokemon that fainted.
Tho I do think you need to be careful with the placement, directions, and amount of the lines because I think it could easily be misread as short fur texture if not handled properly
ohhh, getting ready for the spooky vibes ^_^
these all look like pseudo legendaries
To evolve lupup into lycanight .
Moon stone under a full moon similar to ursaluna minis the moon stone.
Or use 20 moon related moves like moonlight and moonblast then level up under the full moon.
Or use 20 bite moves.
I like the idea of these being pokemon that dont exist in the pokemon world, but are creations of hollywood for the pokemon version of the monster movies
@@zodiakgames fits with the old Hollywood theme of my Kostawes region
My idea for Lupup evolution into Lycanight is that there conditions must be met.
1) Holds item know as a Wild Pelt.
2) Must be night.
3) Level up to level 30 or higher.
Lupup evo criteria: level up with a lunatone in your party
HALLOWEEN! YIPPEE!
Also HE'S REAL! YIPPEE!
You should make a fairy dracula pokemon that evolves by getting bit by lupup and vice versa!
I feel like Voltegrim's walking animation would be him using is arms to walk around
Lupup could evolve during a full moon at level 30 or higher with zero friendship and have it alone in the party
Yes, more monster content!!!YIPPEE. BTW love the vids Stern
Wanna see a Zombie and Skeleton evolution line, maybe even a ghost.
Omg i love your character designs. Have you ever considered doing designs inspired by your fav undertale/deltarune characters?
oooooh it's a comin'
@@thesterninator YAY!!!!!
I try to give a french name for every fakemon here so
Amômetep (for otep)from Amenhotep and Môme (familiar term to say kid)
Apoutyou (Pharotep) from Apep a snake god from Egyptian mythology and outyou name given to the embalmers priest in ancien egypt.
For this one I want to give an unfrench-like name for emphasize the “coming from afar” aspect
Garouloup (Lupup) from Loup-garou(werewolf) upside down to form the sentence "gare aux loups" (beware of wolves)
Bestianthrope (Lycanight) from bestiale (bestial) and Lycanthrope (Lycanthrope)
Cobalab (Boltewatt) from Cobaye (a guinea pig) and laboratoire (laboratory)
Parakenstein (Voltegrim) from Paratonnerre (Lightning rod) and frankenstein
All done
Any video that starts with a Wilhelm scream is automatically a cut above.
I feel like if you do the visible man pokemon would be more like a ghost pokemon possessing items that looks like it's a person/pokemon and it can be ghost/psychic type.
Listen, it would be a crime to NOT give the Frankenstein Pokemon Lightning Rod
Your drawing was great 😎I challenge you to design Alan Becker characters in the form of Pokemon. It will be a difficult challenge, but I hope you accept it 😅
The "backwards knee" is actually the ankle.
11:25 what you are describing is Gabumon.
14:44 Channeling Incineroar
15:45 Something about the shading is not strongly implying its wearing a coat or pelt.
17:18 Frankenstein was the scientist, not the monster.
i'd like to see more like this
How about Lupup evolve after leveling up while holding a Reaper's Cloth or have to learn a signature move.
i like the new look
My goodness keep it up bro 👍😂😂💪💪
Amazing artwork!
Thank you so much 😀
Unsolicited critique: the wolfman design is super strong, but you added round shape language in just the one side of the shading process, when the line work and rest of the shading has really angular design motifs, could probably strengthen it even more if you sharpened those a little
Pharotep should simply have Mummy or Sand veil
I love the new avatar! Great job!!!
Confagrigous and pharotep could be like a goku and Majin vegeta relationship
Mimikyu and this pokemon will be kinda firends bye Is pray to coffagretus
When accused of killing Gruber, West counters: "I gave him life!"
West arrives at Miskatonic University in Arkham, Massachusetts to further his studies as a medical student.
What do you think about it is a spooky story I told you about and also I want to see a Pokemon design of it next week on Halloween ❤🫣👍
you dare to call upon my inner HP Lovecraft fan! YES! Eldritch horror is my absolute jam
@thesterninator I didn't know that you like those old movies that you like maybe next week I'm going to tell you a spooky next story called Street Trash what do you think 🤔

holding a dask stone while leveling at night
Love the new avatar
You should do Batman characters as pokemon: imagine like mr mime male and female for Joker and Harley
I will refrain from making Pokédex’s, SOLELY… because I haven’t seen these movies and I don’t think I can do them justice. That being said, does anyone know where I can watch these movies?
Murder drones characters as Pokemon
