lol John being swinging for the fields regarding Kim as hard as he can and still misses! And he doesn't wonder why?!!! But its good to see that Kim took being divorced from him in a classy way especially all that he did to her. And glad to see in the later years how they did become really good friends looking after each other's backs.
Definitely unacceptable except maybe if you work in civil service (where it's very difficult to get fired) or have a special relationship with one of your bosses (as Mary had here). No wonder why voice mail became prevalent and receptionists/secretaries/assistants sometimes moan about how hard it is to find jobs.
hmmmmmmm.. reading through these comments, it appears a lot of folks don't understand, this ISN'T real life.. it's a fictional story of the Hughes and Stewart families and their friends, set in a fictional town... kinda frightening to think people think this shit is real life.... smh....
Thanks. Lots of good stuff here. I think they were using Tom's apartment as the hotel room set for Bennett and Lisa. It's fascinating seeing Lisa so isolated from everyone. It shows her strength as a character that they could just drop her in a new setting like this. Loved the Kim/Melinda scene. Melinda is so complicated. Betsy a good girl being pulled in a bad direction. A real difference from most troubled teen stories on soaps, especially today, where she would have been pregnant by this time. Ellen looks very pretty here, and not overly matronly. A surprise. I wonder if Pat Bruder forgot her lines when she was on the phone.
This was when the soaps PEAKED at being great...slowly by the mid 80's they became somewhat pretentious and they were ruined - especially by the early 90's.
Barbra? Barbra Streisand was in this? I ask that, because she's the only person with that name that spells it that way.. most everyone else spells it properly with an a in the middle.. Barbara.
Arianne Munker/Melinda would've made an awsome Eve McFarren on The Guiding Light. I'd preferred she played the role instead of Janet Grey, who cannot act. I always loved her character here. She and Lenore Kasdorf would be great as sisters on GL.
Classic ATWT!!! thank you for uploading this amazing soap opera..
I love that orange tinted glass that restaurants used to have !!
Its funny to see Bob and Kim as friends, when I started watching ATWT in 1984. B/K were an established couple.
And Kim when she was STILL living in the apartment !!

How could Lisa not notice those two holes in the painting where the eyes should be? LOL
The show got that from an episode of Scooby Doo !!.☺️🤣
@@MrCraigblaze and from "Psycho".
Bennett is a melodramatic queen.
Funny this is how it really is when you're a teenager and the peer pressure and we make dumb mistakes wanting to be liked and to fit in.
Mary doesn't write the time of the calls on her message slips? Are you kidding me?

Obsessed right now.

What's up with Tom? He seems to be stringing Barbra and Sheila wherever the wind blows...…...

Long scenes in those days and veteran cast were always front burner
awesome episode
I wish Betsy would drop her friendship w/scheming Lois and Hester is raging nutcase
Yes and Yes. :)
@@WeLoveSoapsVideo She reminds me of Lucy Ewing's best friend Muriel on on Dallas.. Even though Muriel has salt ..

@Draper Scott 🤣🤣
Ironic how Melinda was the lush, got drunk and fell off a boat and drowned.
That housekeeper is frighting.
but sexy...
ok so Bennett was crazy?
Seems like. I dont remember this.
Okay , now i truly can't stand Lois! No good will come from that friendship!
LOL!!!! starting at 4:54 Lisa's '70s burnt orange pants suit.. was ugly then and SUPER ugly now LOL!!
Burnt orange is the color for life jackets - looking at the thumbnail still I thought she was wearing one and was in a boat.
