Always a pleasure to see Lisa, Kim, Barbara, and Carol in these episodes. I remember being surprised by the Wade Bookstore fire back in 1980. It pre-dated Fashions Ltd as the place for characters to socialize.
So funny that you should mention Wade Bookstore and Fashions as “the meeting place” in Oakdale. When I was young I always thought it was Oakdale Memorial cafeteria as the “in place” to be. That hospital must have had a 5 Star chef working the grill.😂
It made me sick to see the loss of such a venerable locale as the Wade Bookstore treated so cavalierly! Yes, they're planning a rebuild, but obviously that never happened. And to have everyone celebrating Brad's greedy victory right amidst the charred ruins- how awful!
Kim as always is so elegant. Growing up, her and Barbara really set the tone for the type of women I would always be interested in. She is absolutely stunning...
I completely fell in love with the Kim character when I first started watching in late 1978. She kept me glued to the show long enough until I eventually grew to love the entire cast back then. I followed this show for over 20 years up until around 1999 when all of the core cast that were this show were shoved to the background to make room for idiotic youth that had NOTHING to do with this show's rich history. The show never recovered. I will simply never forget the epitome of excellence this show used to be.
Agree completely Rick. When these shows aired, I kept thinking it was going to get better, that something interesting would happen, and it never did. Year by year, until later in 1984, the show just kept getting worse, ignoring its history and vets.
Yeah. That entire Mr Big storyline was just plain silly and stupid. That was the lowest time in ATWT history, worse than Goutman, and that's pretty bad!
This show, my ATWT, is singular imho, peopled with an excellent cast :)🎉😮😅😊

I missed the bookstore so much.

Barbara reveals some important news to Tom!
Love Lisa's curls...
Geez Barbara... what's the big secret?
quick note: Mary McDowell plays Claudia.
Mary McDonnell
I like Lisa with her blonde or light hair.
I'm not liking this Barbara Storyline one bit. So far I am not impressed with the idiotic style writing of The Hobson's
At least she finally spilled the beans! That was really getting annoying.

Yes very much agreed Russell.
Russell Weil The nadir of the whole thing to me was Tom and Margo's Wedding and the whole Mr. Big business.

Wow, this cast was not pretty. Stories were boring.
