Oooh I wish I could smell some of that lemon grass haha. Another super helpful video. Next time I see lemon grass at the store I will pick it up and try this!
Hey thanks, I think these would actually make a great house plant, one that smells great and you can eat! Looking forward to see it maybe in a future video?
Very helpful thanks . I managed to grow some from seed this year and looking into how I can help them survive a UK winter . I'll find a place on my window seal :)
I actually grew mine from seeds, but I started the seeds in a little hydroponics unit 2 or 3 years ago. I grow it in a grow bag. Last year I divided it x4 and gave 3 away. I overwinter in a Warmer storage with LED grow light. This year, after watching your video, I'll divide again and keep one in little greenhouse and see what happens
Deep south homestead on youtube had a rare snow in Alabama, US. She left her lemon grass in the ground and said it would be fine. Sure enough, it was there the next spring. Mine dies if I don't protect it. I trim it down, leave the roots and put something over it during cold spurts.
Well Nancy I may push it a little further this year then! I may keep that poorly one in the ground with a good mulch! Hey Nancy I know how weird! Thank you for always commenting you are such a gem.
That video was very useful and also the way you reply to everybody in the comments in a positive way is really sweet. Good luck with everything!
Hi Ivelina, thats very nice of you to say, are you growing Lemon grass this season? Thank you so much for watching!
Great to see the whole year not just the planting
Thanks Dean, although I was a little upset they were not huge specimens
