Thanks for this summary on the most used tools. Now with the updated version I will return to your old tutorials to use history features. Thanks again for your clear explanations.

Thank you! With the newest update there aren’t very many good tutorials including parametric modeling using Shapr but yours are awesome!

would love to use shaper 3d for my hobby cnc work, but it looks like i would need to buy the pro version which is pretty pricy. i wish there was a standard version i could use... half the price...

Thank you for the tutorial! I’ve got a question. Let’s say I create a pattern of a complex object. Later I decide to change the initial objective. Do I have to delete each pattern unit separately and recreate them? Or maybe is there something like components in this app?

No, with parametric modeling you can make changes to the parent part and all the child parts will update together

Thanks for the great tutorials. I have a question for you though. I am new to cnc, I have purchased shapr3d to design on because I like the iPad functionality. I have found it difficult to load accurate files into my cnc cam program which I use carveco. I se that you use fusion 360. If you have fusion 360 what do you need shapr3d for? They seem very similar in their design. Also is 360 worth the cost for setting up cnc tooling paths?

Shapr3D’s iPad capability is why I don’t go to Fusion 360. I like being able to design in my shop with the iPad. It’s a lot more efficient than running back and forth between my project and the computer. And also, I travel a lot, so I get a lot more done on the iPad than on a laptop. I use the free version of F360, since I only use it for setting up tool paths and I don’t use an automatic tool changer

@@BevelishCreations thanks for the response. One more question, I have been struggling getting files from shapr3d to my cam (carveco maker or carbide create pro) and having them usable. The 3d part I’ve figured out, it’s the 2d that is throwing me for a loop. I import in a dxf file but it never works for tool paths so then I end up redrawing it in the cam program, does fusion except the file easier than other programs, should I switch to that? Thanks for the advice

You seem to be a shill for Shaper3D now. When are you getting back to woodworking videos?
