What happens if You REVEAL YOU'RE REVAN to Sith Troopers: Knights of the Old Republic

- What happens if you reveal you are the Dark Lord Revan, to the Sith Soldiers on Manaan? And more importantly, how do you even activate this rare dialogue option?
When first entering Manaan East Central, if the player has chosen it as an early planet to visit, they will witness a hostile encounter between the Sith & the Republic soldiers.
Approaching the Sith after their verbal goading, they will believe we too are a part of the republic & taunt us accordingly.
We can then respond to the taunts in 2 ways.
With the Sith trios leader apparently not inclined to waste any more time talking to us, his lackeys will only jeer at us as we leave.
But how, when speaking to the Sith leader, do we garner a special third dialogue option yet to be unlocked?
Well, first off the player needs to know themselves that they were once Dark Lord of the Sith.
The revelation cutscene of the player's true identity as Revan is triggered during your encounter with Malak on the Leviathan, which can only occur after acquiring 3 Star Maps.
The second factor is you cannot be locked out of Manaan by destroying their kolto supply, beforehand which I accidentally did & the trial went poorly.
Returning to the trio of troopers, with our Sith Lord title reclaimed, we can then approach the leader as Revan & an unseen third dialogue option will appear in which we scoff:

Unfortunately, we have no means to make the trooper pay for his taunts, with the Selkath’s strict rules on no violence in the City, he is safe from Revans retribution… for now.

Ah yes, “Revan.” The jedi turned Sith Lord that defeated the mandalorians and ruled the empire before Darth Malak, the one that was killed in the battle with Bastila Shan, and is rumored to still be alive. We have dismissed that claim.

@Gary Buck Satele is not their daughter. But she is a descendant of them multiple generations afterwards. TOR is set more than 300 years after KOTOR.

@@Noamalmoggg It's probably inefficient to kill off the native aquatic species on a planet with kolto which only grows underwater.
They should also give Force Chock option. When authority arrive you tell them that you didn't do anything and guy just have heart attack.
Player: "I AM Darth Revan, you idiot!"
Sith Trooper: "Of course you are! You're the third guy this week"
It's a shame there isn't a Dark Side option to Force: Kill him. Use Persuade to tell the Selkath it was an entirely internal matter between Sith, or Medicine to convince them he simply had a stroke.
That. It was sadly missed opportunity.
As far as I remember, isn't it an important part of the planet's storyline that you end up in court for a very specific crime? Don't think they could let you risk getting into trouble for somethin else
Or just raze the city. That would have been an amazing dark side option. Its pretty rules inconvenienced and infuriated you, so you cleansed your galaxy of its filth.
@@zacharyrollick6169 That's Malak's option, and Malak is an idiot. This city is nothing more than a trading outpost for the Selkath to sell their Kolto to non-aquatic offworlders. Destroy the city, and the Kolto stops flowing, to both sides of the war. And beyond that, this is your only means of reaching the Star Map down below.
Destroying the city merely inconveniences the Selkath, provides no tactical or strategic benefit to the war, and prevents access to a critical artifact. A Sith Apprentice should be slain immediately for indulging in such useless whims. A true Sith Master would find much better means of revenge on the Selkath. Such as killing their Creator God in a mission they cannot make public, as that would ruin their ''neutrality'', and therefore they cannot even punish you for it.

A few weeks later, that trooper would be terrified.
That's awesome. I like that the Devs/writers put that in, based on when you hit the planet.

Revan:"Time to die for mocking your lord"

Ive only played through once but everytime i told someone outside of my squad i was Revan they never really gave a damn or thought i was lying and laughed it off
It's funny I didn't realize this was a rare dialogue. I discovered this back when the game came out completely by accident.
Im not sure if you know this or have done it. But it is a good continuation for this one.
If you save Kashyyyk Star Map as the last map you are going to get. The computer will recognise you as Revan with a very different dialogue and no test will be taken

Almost makes it worth it to do a dark side run and take over the entire faction just to identify this trooper and "invite" him into your personal torture chamber.
Being evil in KOTOR is hilarious, so its always worth it regardless for the laughs.
Seriously I went full on Revan Reborn ending with Bastila and I was just Mephiles cackling the entire time.

I hope the community areas like this are more open world/open choice, like attacking this sith trooper and then actually having selkath officers try to arrest you. Kind of a Skyrim/red dead twist where you can truly do whatever as the dark lord.

I love this game and can't wait for the the remake. I always saved kasheyyek for last because it makes the end of the planet go by so much faster. You don't have to do the stupid crap with the hologram to access the star map

I have a mod called Force Choke Anyone on the pc version. When I found this dialog for the first time I had immense pleasure killing him even though this particular playthrough was a Light Sided one. I truly felt like a Sith Lord reveling in his death in that moment. I even asked myself if this is how Darth Vader felt when he killed the Tusken Raiders when he was still Anakin Skywalker. He wanted revenge for his mother's death and even killed the children.

I'm so upset that this game is in Legends and not Cannon because of the high republic. This game and its whole time period is amazing and SHOULD have been made cannon

It would’ve been great if they gave you the option to straight up force choke the trio to death right then and there after their mocking. That or Force Choke and then toss them over the side. Not a pleasant death either way.

Due to a trick in KotOR speedrunning, we do have a way to punish him. We use a trick called Wire-Targeting to hit people who are not considered enemies yet (i.e. Sith Governor). Using this trick you could kill him, however there's no meaning.
If this were kotor2, you'd have been able to force persuade him to go choke on the business end of of a blaster.
i love that they put this in and that it makes you feel like an idiot.

I never understood why manaan was like it was...if I'm a dark side player I don't give a crap about the selkath rules I just want that star map...so land on the planet...blow through the front doors...murder the grand council and kill everyone who gets in your way...if Rowlan won't give you what you want, kill them all and force rip the doors away and take the subs codes from someone's mind and go get that map...force crush the fish...take the map...when you come back, obviously the selkath will be trying to stop you...force storm them everywhere and remove them from the face of the Galaxy...the end...
I always wondered why if I'm a dark sider it won't give me the option to just kill everything...including the Jedi council because there could always be negative consequences and they just destroy you like Calo Nord on Taris

I didn't know revealing yourself as Revan was a rare option. I always went for Manon last (Cause I hate the shark part), so didn't know it was considered rare

I faintly remember trying this as a kid almost 20 years ago.
I've beaten this game between 5-7 times and I don't even remember ever getting the Revan armor, much less unlocking any of these dialogues.
I think this is a mod. You only get it as a ds revan at the star forge
Haha brother it's a good dialogue, but not really "rare" so long as Manaan is the last explored world before Star Forge system... I've seen this like a gazillion times through several playthroughs. Fun to re-watch though, keep up with the content! There are lots of KOTOR 2 dialogues I anticipate from you in the future... ;)
That’s why it’s rare, it has a 25% chance of occurring on any given first play through dependent on what worlds you visit.
@@Mac90820see your point, but there has been way worse odds for certain dialogue even within K-I... for ex., activating the carth romance/kiss dialogue is much harder (requires a whole sequence of influence points and even a combination of world playing) than this video's convenient "just run into by chance" sort of dialogue. idk man I guess it's just because I've also played KOTOR 1 alone at least 100 times + in the last 20 years.. 🤣 not impressed by this particular one, I've heard it like 30 times before this vid came out personally...

You get a funny dialogue with Yurathar Ban on Korriban after you find out you are Revan.
When the Sith descend on Coruscant our numbers will block out the Sun itself.

Naming yourself Darth Revan leads to some funny moments.
Developers should add an option to use mind control to make him jump from the edge or smth.
Quite a few npcs have special dialog if you do the glitch to keep the sith armor on taris

Mods. I’d recommend brotherhood of shadows Solomons revenge as it includes a whole extra storyline and new items including revans armour
