Patsy Cline has one of the best country voices around. Patsy had so many great hits such as "She's Got You", "When I Get Through With You", "So Wrong", "Leavin' On Your Mind", "Walkin' After Midnight", "I Fall To Pieces" "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love", "Imagine That". She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams.
@@SarahDengler pretty sure the head band thing shes wearing in this video is because she was in a car accident and still had staples in her scalp when they filmed this...i love that lady's voice
Patsy Cline felt every song she sang. She cried while recording "Faded Love". I'm sure you noticed the cry in her voice on this song & Sweet Dreams". If only she hadn't died in that plane crash. The music we could of had for her would of been a much longer list. After 60 yrs Patsy is still selling records or whatever its called today.
Patsy sang from her heart, musicians who backed her up in the studio have said it was like she lived each song as she sang it, she was actually in tears at the end of Faded Love and you can hear it.
Miss Patsy was peerless. 60 years later that hasn't changed. She was amazing. Thank you for this reaction, Sarah. I have a hunch that God called her home so soon because He got tired of staring at the empty seat in His choir. He missed His Patsy.
One of Willie Nelson's later songs that I also love (may not have title correct) - "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys." When I was a teenager back in the day I "looked down" on Country music. What an idiot I was! Country artists sing and play their instruments brilliantly and those songs tell SUCH BEAUTIFUL STORIES! Patsy died tragically; she left treasures for us to listen to.
@@janetlawson4482, and you’re right, Patsy had the perfect voice for it. She died young but will forever be a giant in County Music. Back then you could hear nearly all genres on popular AM stations. She had that “crossover” appeal to a lot of people.
You said you dont have the words ... I disagree, you did just fine in my opinion. You said its perfect and again I must disagree ..... I just wish it were longer 😉 .... you can melt icebergs with that vocal. Sublime. Nice job Sarah ... always love to see peoples reactions to this

Hello Sarah. I recently subscribed to your channel and in going through your videos I noticed that you haven't yet reacted to the Carpenters. If you think Patsy Cline's voice was incredible, wait until you hear Karen Carpenter. Karen and Patsy are easily my two favorite female singers of all time! Check out The Carpenters songs Close To You, We've Only Just Begun, Rainy Days and Mondays, Yesterday Once More, Hurting Each Other, Top of the World, Only Yesterday.....I could go on and on, they had so many hits. Karen was half of a duo with older brother Richard. Richard wrote a lot of their songs and played keyboards with Karen singing. She passed away in 1983 at the young age of 32 and is sorely mussed.
The carpenters sounds very Familiar to Me, I think i might have listened to some of their songs, I will check them out though and if I know the song then we will hear it again 🙂
The greatest version of this song that I ever heard is by Shirley Bassey on her sixtieth birthday special in 1997. It is on YT. No one emotes like Shirley.
Hi Ms. Sarah, I told U that anyone listening to Ms. Patsy needs to listen to her rendition of "Crazy", Most beautiful.. By the way her last name is pronounced ClIne like Line or Mine .. ♠W.G.

I love this song. I've been crazy about this song since I was 12 years old and I still love it and listen to it often.
Her voice is so beautiful
My absolute performer and my favorite song!

Your review actually brought tears to my eyes . . . giving proper homage to this singer and song.

Never, ever be anyone that could touch her wonderful singing voice
Wonderful song written by Willie Nelson. Jim

I love Ms. Cline! This one is more popular and well known than my favorite one, though: "Never No More"
Glad that you did this song Sarah. Patsy Cline was something else. Thank you.
Love Patsy!
Her performance here was just crazy good.
Crazy Good indeed!
So very sad we lost her at such a young age in that plane crash. She was such a song bird.
Great reaction beautiful lady
For me her voice wasn’t necessarily “country”, maybe country/blues. I really love the timbre of her voice. Thank you Sarah ❤️
There's been a branch of Country Music that's very jazzy. Willie Nelson, who wrote this song, has long been considered a part of that.
@@jeffstumpf9129 that makes sense, thank you 😊

Patsy was more big band than country. Not sure they knew where she belonged. Her voice is amazing.

Love Patsy. Check out LeeAnn Rimes if you like her.
