Patsy Cline was one of my dad's favorite singers of all time, and I know this song so well, I can sing it without needing to see the lyrics. She was definitely a treasure for the ears, and a beautiful lady to boot. One thing's for sure Ms Onyin Pearl, none of us are crazy for loving you! :) Hope to catch you on a live session again soon.
Where the hell did real music go ❓ there is simply nothing better than dear beautiful patsy cline.
She was an incredible artist taken from us way too soon. So many of the great ones are for some reason!
She used to get beat back then when she failed a vocal take. Her singing is a joy but she was crying! Patsy is a real one no question...
Wow she was Crazy good! What a gift from God
Willie Nelson wrote it. Patsy Cline made it a hit.
She died two years after this song charted. Much too young. She had a tumultuous relationship with her husband Charlie. But she could make you feel a song to the core of your soul. I miss her.❤❤❤
What a voice aye ??? She is a legend. Remember she was just singing the song, but she was such an emotive singer...her voice is iconic ! Willie Nelson actually wrote this song
She was NOT heart broken, happily married or so they say so. rumors abound. I saw her in person in 1960, backstage at a concert, My mom had a handerchief that Patsy kissed and left her lip imprint on it. I still have it to this day. She did not sign it so only Our family know that it belongs to her. This song was written by Willie Nelson.
Ok...❤️
I think she's referring to the sentiment of ANY woman who went through this experience.
Oh, I think Patsy had been plenty heart-broken .....
Great reaction! Patsy Cline is a legend. I think you'll like The First Time I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack. Would love to see your reaction.
He stepped out on her, but they truly loved one another. She was in her 30’s & they had two babies. She was in a serious car accident & got through & recovered then she was killed in a plane crash. They were still together when she was killed.
1961 I was 16 years old. 1961 was was a long time before you were born. We are all victims of our birth date! Pasty had the whole world in front of her. It is unknown where she would have gone if she hadn't been in that airplane on March 5, 1963 when it crashed taking her life as well as those of country stars Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins. So happy you like Patsy.
Talk about a Classic... Wow. I hear this one alot on the country station.
Now...I know this song goes back to 1961, but it is such a masterpiece that it seems like a first time, chill factor moment every time I hear this song.
A legend gone to soon❤️🙏👍
Yeah this song was written by Willie Nelson there was another song that was supposed to be slated for Patsy Cline but unfortunately he died in a plane crash however many many many years later this one gal showed up in the country scene called LeAnn Rimes and she has such a great voice they gave that Patsy Cline earmark song to her to sing it and she did a stellar job I can't tell you what the song was I just remember it was a number one on the country charts yeah my mom love this song and she wasn't much into countries he was into jazz but this song crossed over for my mom she loves your voice
Another great one by Patsy Cline is "Walking After Midnight" and you can do a cover by The Cowboy Junkies after it. Both beautiful.
Noted 😊
Yeah patsy was a great singer
She had a fabulous voice!
She had to make some modifications to the song for it to fit her singing style. Willie has a very unique phrasing to his music that doesn't fit a lot of people, but it works for him.
If you haven't reacted to "Blue" by LeAnn Rimes, I recommend that one. The song was written for Patsy Cline , but when she died, the songwriter archived it until he found someone with a voice worthy of a song written for Patsy Cline. It took over 30 years until LeAnn Rimes recorded it at only 13 years old.
I love Patsy! Great reaction:)
Thank you 😊
Beautifull amazing voice❤🌹
Thank you for doing a reaction to Patsy Cline! You should check out other classic women singers - Nina Simone, Etta James, Dolly Parton.
Patsy always sang from the heart
Crazy: A beautiful song that crossed country and pop.
Thanks for selecting this "Oldie but Goodie"!
Patsy died in a plane crash at the height of her career. So sad.
Wow 😢
She was one of the greatest. Check out the movie about her career called "Sweet Dreams". Ed Harris and Jessica Lange are in the movie.
Wow !! Love it, love you...
Another classic female singer is Brenda Lee. “I’m sorry” and the Christmas song “Rocking around the Christmas tree”.
In the studio Patsy was famous for internalizing whatever song she was singing, regardless how her personal life was, in the studio she lived the song, her emotions were real while she sang. Listen to Patsy sing Faded Love, she actually broke up and cried at the end of the recording
This song was written by Willie Nelson. He started out by writing songs for the big stars like Patsy, before he made it as a star on his own. A more recent example of this is Chris Stapleton. Patsy was great. She died young in a car crash, I believe. Songs were short because the music industry insisted on short songs for radio play. If the song was too long it wouldn’t get played on the radio, and wouldn’t ever become a hit.
Wow ok😊... thanks for the info fam🙏
@@OnyinPearl , folks are saying Patsy died in a plane crash. Thank you for your reactions, young lady. You do a wonderful job!
Interestingly, everyone told Bob Dylan that at 5 minutes long "Like a Rolling Stone" would never be a hit.
Patsy had such a clear and beautiful tone..Timeless Gold
Floyd Kramer was the pianist and it was written by Willie Nelson.
Ms. Patsy has a most unique and most powerful voice.. Great singer & song.. ♠W.G.
I was a 10 yr old boy. Everyone on the farm and neighbor farms were in tears. 1963, I watched her on TV and heard on radio with parents. I didn't know what was going on.
Thanks!
Powerful song. Written by Willie Nelson. He said she made it her own. He was right.
Brenda Lee singing " I'm Sorry"
Before Willie Nelson became a Country music legend, he wrote Country songs for other famous Country singers: Crazy was one of his most known lyrics.
The song was written by Willie Nelson. It wasn’t about her relationship.
Beautiful
Thank you
You are my new best friend. Lol. I loved this vid
Thank you 🤎
This song came 3 years before I was born and we all know how the feeling of the words convey and I know that feeling of this song side not today is my birthday God bless
Awww happy birthday fam, God bless you Richly and grant your heart desires 🙏❤️
Thank you still love both your channels
Great song, Onyin, and great reaction! Don't let a man cause you to be crazy! Lol. Here's to your next reaction! 🙏🙂❤️
Lol... ok I won’t 😁... thank you so much for watching 🥰🙏
React to She's Got You by Patsy Cline, more depressing song.
First song I fell in love with!! Born in 53!! Over 60 years ago!! I can even tell you where I heard it!!
I love this reaction... I see you from Venezuela
Absolutely beautiful 😍 singing voice!
Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸
Sweet Dreams
Heartbreak song for sure. Go ahead and remember when your heart was ripped out. Just cry....
You're as beautiful as the song.
Thank you 🙏
@@OnyinPearl Thank you for being yourself! Perhaps some day we'll meet! so long!
She had 'it' whatever 'it' is she definitely had it. Thanks for posting these great artists from a different time. Play 'Walking after midnight' by Patsy. Another great one. Maybe find other country singers from the sixties and seventies era. You will be surprised at the wealth of talent. Thank you for this one!
Hi, good one by Bobby Gentry, Ode to Billy Joe, she's great
I remember when that came out. It was kind of eerie and mysterious.
Patsy was one of a kind. Willie Nelson wrote this but actually passed on singing it and Patsy got it. That's a good thing... even though I think Willie would have delivered, Patsy owned it. Her voice is something else.
Second! Good choice!
Thank you 😊
Would like to see you react to Alan Jackson "MONDAY MORNING CHURCH
Please do ...SHES GOT YOU
Patsy had a very turbulent marriage so she definitely pulled from inspiration in her only life in these sad bluesy ballads, she has a voice that you can really hear the pain.
She didn't write the song. Willie Nelson wrote it.
@@Pugiron I didn’t say she wrote it? but when she sings it you can still hear the pain regardless ??...
As a lifelong Patsy fan I thank you for the critique! 🙂
Her voice was before her time she can sang she could of came to the bbq year round pass.
As a child Patsy was my favorite singer. I wasn't a big Country music fan but there were a few songs from Country music in the 1960s that were deadly good and I think that is why I love people and bands like Neil Young, The Band and The Doobie Bros. in the 70s.
There's a young songwriter that is emerging today that appears to be a songwriter of songs like this Patsy song. She has gotten to the point where she is writing songs on Instagram live as she strums her guitar. Her latest heart breaker was done just recently. She tends to use her voice as another instrument and enuciations aren't important to her so you have to have the lyrics with you to get a lot of words she sings. At the end of the song she is actually startled that she just wrote another song. She starts the song at 0:20

The movie 'Sweet Dreams' gives a good overview of Patsy's life. Just remember, it's Hollywood telling the story but, again, it is a good overview. Worth a watch.
"Patsy" is one of the common female names and yet so many people have problems with it.
You have a beautiful name.
Older songs werent that long. Think it was partly because of the technical requirements. Think songs got longer during the 1970´s. For example queens song "Bohemian Raphsody was probably considered bit of an exception to the normal song format at the time. Here is a copy & paste of a bit better explanation: A combination of the limitations of the 45rpm single disc (you couldn't realistically put more than 5-6 minutes on one without severely compromising the sound reproduction), and the commercially imposed limits of AM radio in that the shorter the song , the more songs could be played and still allow for commercials,
Thanks fam 😊
Patsy cline is my 4th generation cousin
Fun fact
Love Patsy Cline she hasnt sang i song i dont like, she passed away at 27 in a plane crash, there is a movie of her life x
she was 30, not 27.
@@joshuataylor5185 i apologise i thought she was in the 27 club
Everybody has had their heart broken......Right???...REALLY!
American country music has a long history of being about heartbreak. Patsy didn't write this song; Willie Nelson did. So, while Patsy may have been channeling a heartbreak to sing this song, the words were not hers. She just sang the living crap out of it! As for the length of the song, it was very common in that era for songs to be short like this one.
BEFORE REBA MCENTIRE, THERE WAS PATSY CLINE😎.
👍👌
Willie Nelson wrote this song.
After you listened to this try listening to Brenda lee
FYI your perception is correct and here’s a little piece of information: Patsy Cline was a battered woman, her mate was a woman beater
Onyin check out the hues corporation. Rock the boat.
Sis u try o!
Was this the last live before the plane crash?
Hey.. Love your Reaction to Patsy Cline.. "CRAZY"...
PLZZZ CHECK OUT.. "UNCHAINED MELODY"..
"THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS"... ❤️🙏🙏
Ouça musicas brasileiras.
She sings of a woman who, sadly, fell in love with a ladies man. Sooner or later the low life ladies man would toss her aside for another woman.
And before the booze took her, she was a beautiful looking woman.
