I managed to make a decent-looking halfling main character with the big-eared, older-looking bloke with the warm smile. Trick was picking the right hair; then adding a beard. Looked even better than my male dwarf character.

It’s interesting how half elf Marcille wasnt a thing until well into the series. Cause the other elf in chapter 2 also has rounded ears, so it has to be a stylistic choice rather than lore reason, not until Ryoko Kui finally established their background it was more obvious if we were to compare with the Canaries’ ears. Even Fionil (that other rounded ear elf in chapter 2) end up officially as half-elf.
After thinking further into this: I think Laios would be against ceremorphosis, cuz as the resident monster fan, he'd know that the mindflayer just takes its host's memories and is no longer considered the same individual

The worst thing about this game is the lack of proper fantasy beard options. How am I supposed to play a wizard or a dwarf when the longest beard option doesn't even reach my nipples?
I always thought of Laios as a ranger since he has a completey healthy obession with monsters and has a vast knowledge of them. Also having access to magic, but I don't know how far that goes yet.
ranger use nature magic only which is different than the wizards can use or learned. laios deffinitly a fighter with at least 1 level of wizard cause marcelline teached him from book (academic style) and actually there is monster hunter subclass for the FIGHTER! it's like battle master but wkith monsters. and i think eventually laios become some like paladin or atleast would get some paladin like abilities.

Also, I completely forgot about the monster hunter subclass, namely because I don't dabble with fighter as much. I think you're right in that he could be a multi-class, a paladin though I can't see because as far as I am in the story (where the anime left off) I can't fully see an oath that would suit him. But I know what you mean, since he's only been taught healing magic, so far, and I'm pretty sure his sister has already taken the sorcerer spot (though you can argue she is also a wizard) and he doesn't seem religious enough to be a cleric so there aren't many options in that regard.

i think they are around level 5-6 :S laios at least 1 wizard and the rest is fighter chilchuck is a pure thief rogue senshi i think more fit to the RANGER! not use magic but the hunter skills and melee! he looks very versatile falin is a wizard cleric mix cause she learned in magic school and use healing :S so may a lv3 life cleric and lv3 abjuration wizard marcille pure evocation wizard
nah laios cannot be paladin... may later but right know he is fighter and at least 1 level wizard! senshi never had any barbarian like! he is more like a ranger with melee weapons! he know a lot of things and know well the monsters and the dungeon he also know the plants and the whole ''forest'' so he is more like a hunter ranger
