The desing of the back panel is terrible, it slowly damages the charging port until it stops charging like mine did. 1.The charging port is too big, and the cable is loose 2.The back panel does not cover the entire USB C port wich will result in port damage. The best way to minimize the damage is to use a magnetic cable.
I have the nokia 7 plus for almost a year now. This video sold me to it. However, the issue that I had was with the Type-C port being loose aftwr months of usage. When I charge it now it gets disconnected easily, even when I'm just picking it up from the table.
@@kanzu3074 yes, very much than the newer released Nokia android phones, though I'm just biased cause I don't like notches. Also since it's fast charging, the loose Type-C port isn't that much of an issue, I just don't hold it while charging so that it doesn't get moved around and get fully charged
@@kanzu3074 to add, though this is out of the actual phone and more of os & software. I personally loved Android Pie, the gestures and lift to check+ambient display features were great. I recently updated to Android 10 and those useful features are just destroyed now.
How is it a "plastic back panel" when the back is metal with six layers of paint on it? You said earlier in the video that ceramic-feel paint isn't ceramic and it's kind of lying. Then later you say that metal + paint = plastic ? That's just complete bs...
From HMD's brochure of this phone it says the back has a "ceramic-feel resin". Resin afaik is a form of plastic. Usually when JRE describes the "back panel" on the phones he reviews, he refers to what covers the device initially from the outside (which for 2018 phones is mostly either glass or the plasticine paint on the back) rather than what material the housing of the unibody to hold all components together (since most phones he reviews have a metal housing, stainless steel or aluminum, buried inside that glass or plastic back). Although admittedly clarification on the wording should have been further made to distinguish this properly.

1.The charging port is too big, and the cable is loose
2.The back panel does not cover the entire USB C port wich will result in port damage.
The best way to minimize the damage is to use a magnetic cable.
I have the nokia 7 plus for almost a year now. This video sold me to it. However, the issue that I had was with the Type-C port being loose aftwr months of usage. When I charge it now it gets disconnected easily, even when I'm just picking it up from the table.
besides that would you still recommend this phone?
@@kanzu3074 yes, very much than the newer released Nokia android phones, though I'm just biased cause I don't like notches. Also since it's fast charging, the loose Type-C port isn't that much of an issue, I just don't hold it while charging so that it doesn't get moved around and get fully charged
@@kanzu3074 to add, though this is out of the actual phone and more of os & software. I personally loved Android Pie, the gestures and lift to check+ambient display features were great. I recently updated to Android 10 and those useful features are just destroyed now.
@@Reiri96 thx for how much did you bought it
Had mine for a year now, haven't had issues with mine yet thankfully
Nice comeback my Nokia, I'd love to try the Nokia 7
Naukiya?
