  • Hi everyone! I've been watching a lot of "over-explaining simple tasks" videos recently and it gave me the idea for this video. Tonight I'll be teaching you how to solve a rubik's cube, do origami, crochet and more. Let me know your thoughts on this one, I hope it's relaxing!

    Well that's kind of eerie. My plan was to learn to crochet tomorrow, we own a hobby shop in rural western Ireland and some of my female customers bet me I could not learn to crochet. Cheers from co Galway Ireland 🇮🇪

    Watching you do these tasks reminded me of a magician/illusionist. Have you tried doing magic tricks before, E? You definitely have the skill for it.

      To be honest, it doesn't require much intelligence, just a bit of practice. There are loads of great tutorials online if you want to learn.

    plz plz plz make more of these kinda of videos, they're so relaxing to me and i can just sit and not think
    the over-explaining vids that are (for a reason beyond my understanding) ridiculously popular, are the most aggravating things to even try to listen to for me. they very nearly fall into anti-asmr territory, they srsly just stress me out every time i try and watch them to understand why people like them.
    but this, this hear is good stuff. i love unintelligible and inaudible explaining and examining because i dont have to think as hard on whats happening, whereas with the over-explaining they're just saying the same thing, over and over and over again and its so annoying.

      I have a new one, it was cheap from Amazon but one of the stickers had already fallen off 🤦‍♀️

      @@ASMREliza Oh no! I’d suggest a stickerless cube if you decide to get a replacement, definitely. The MoYu Meilong M is a stickerless speedcube with magnets in it to help align the layers during turns. If you look on Amazon, it’s only £10 (I tried to link to it but the comment was deleted). 😁

    The way you were using the rubiks cube, looks like you do it competitively. Would be nice to see you rip right through it on a timer. My fastest time was 1min 45sec.....back in the 70s when it came out. 😄 I can't do that any more. 😢

    That's exactly how I tell people to solve a rubik's cube. Teaching without teaching, drives people crazy. Cross, corners, middle, cross, corners. SIMPLE!

    There were kids like this in my high school and they were infuriating. They'd be like here, let me do an entire rose out of origami in 3 seconds and act like you understood.
    Luckily you make it somehow relaxing.

    I'm sad I can also solve a 3x3 rubik's cube, only because I'm thinking "yep, now you do URU'L'UR'U'L cool" instead of "HOW DOES SHE DO IT" 😂

    Ive never known how to do a rubix cube but thanks tomthis lesson. I still dont lol.
    I have aspergers which means and actually pretty good at some things and terrible at others. My psttern recognition is aweful so iv got not chance of working out a rubix cube or cats cradle etc lol
