The songs you play make me smile, especially watching you discover new music! :) You're a favorite part of my day, and I suspect many other people feel the same way.
🇬🇧 Im 60, & i have never heard this song! There have been so many great songs that slipped through the net. This is soooo good, definite playlist 🔥🎶🎼👍🇺🇲
this is my favourite babys song, with "isn't it time" a close 2nd. i think you'll love that one too. lead singer john waite has a voice that makes an impact. something about his tone (velvety, yearning-yet-forceful-when-needed) simply draws you in ❤ john also had a solo, billboard no. 1 smash in 1985 with "missing you" - his signature hit. y'all should check it out, it is fantastic 😊
The keyboardist in this band, Jonathan Cain, joined "Journey" in the early '80s & is still with them. Other favorite songs to check out are "Back On My Feet Again", "Turn and Walk Away", and "Midnight Rendezvous". 🔥🔥🔥
Love it. Love the band. Great when I saw them live. Great song writing in the rock/romance genre. Not easy to not be cheesy making this kind of music. Head First is a great album.
1965-1995 (give or take a few years) is the greatest period for pop and rock music ever . We’ll never see a time like that again. Before the internet. Before auto-tunes. So many great artists and bands. Cheers ❤️
John Waite, the singer, has had a storied career. He had solo hits, he made hits with this band, and had some hits with another band called Bad English, which was a kind of super group.
The Babys were the very first band I ever saw in concert. They opened for STYX in Seattle January of 1980. I went for STYX but The Babys put on a real good show.
You should listen to some solo John Waite music. Also, the Supergroup, Bad English, had John Waite on lead vocals, Jonathan Cain on keyboards (Was in Babys and then Journey), and Neal Schon on lead guitar (Journey). Their song “When I See You Smile”, was a #1 Smash Hit. “When I See You Smile”
I LOVE YOUR REACTION! I LOVE WATCHING YA'LL AND I JUST WANT TO SAY I HOPE YA'LL HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK! GOD BLESS YA'LL AND THANK YOU FOR THE JOY YOU BRING TO US WATCHING YOUR REACTIONS!
check out their other big hit "Isn't it time" I loved these two songs since they were new in the 70's and I was a teenager. You had me questionining my memory I had to look it up, it wa sreleased in 1977, I was 13y.o and loved it back then and still do today.
Good 👍 song 🎵 Lead singer John Waite and drummer 🥁 Tony Brock are British 🇬🇧. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain and bass guitarist 🎸 Ricky Phillips are American 🇺🇸. John Waite used the title of this song 🎵 in Missing You, which he, Chas Sanford and Mark Leonard wrote 40 years ago 🎂. The Babys broke up 💔 in 1981. Jonathan Cain joined Journey (formed in my hometown San Francisco 🌉). But that band broke up 💔 in 1987. He, Waite and Phillips reunited when they, Neal Schon and Deen Castronovo formed Bad English. Greg Rolie and Ross Valory formed The Storm. But both bands broke up 💔. Journey reunited. Steve Perry left again. Arnel Pineda joined Journey. Suggested videos 📹: 1 John Waite 2 Bad English performs Straight to Your Heart 3 The Storm performs I've Got a Lot to Learn about Love 4 Steve Perry and David Foster perform I Stand Alone 5 Arnel Pineda and Morissette Amon sing I Finally Found Someone.
Saw them open for Alice Cooper believe it or not, back in '79/'80. Saw John Waite solo several times, and Jonathan Cain in Journey several times. John Waite was also in Bad English with Neal Schon of Journey.
I was lucky enough to see John Waite back in 1978 when The Babys opened for Journey. John is still busy today with no signs of slowing down. Below is a recent interview he did. Such a humble, nice performer with no signs of slowing down! ua-cam.com/video/SyHQpiD08j4/v-deo.htmlsi=e8wOj5P9Y3ceAlz-
i got tickets to see styx and foreigner next week not knowing john waite is going to be the opening act. since both styx and foreigner no longer have their original lead singers seeing john waite will be even more special.
The Babys had several hits in the late 70's. Isn't It Time and Back On My Feet Again were both big hits for them.
"Head First too"
John Waite is an amazing singer 🤘🤘

John Waite the lead singer had a number one hit Missing You in the early 80’s. Change is a great song by him also.
You couldn't get away from that song in 84.
The Babys were a great band! They had a few hits in the late 70s and 80s. Lead singer John Waite went on to have a huge #1 solo hit...Missing You ❤

He replaced Greg Rollie who was also an original member of Santana.
Loved the Baby's, especially Isn't It Time

Singer John Waite and keyboard player Jonathon Cain later formed Bad English. You have reviewed one of their songs a few months back.
Love this band and they were not your normal everyday sound. The singer is great.
Their "Head First" is my personal favorite. Nice reaction.
This is a great song from a great group.
Isn't it time...is another great Babys song ❤
My first Concert was "The Baby's" and "Journey" April 1980. I was 15 years old
With John Waite on the microphone, and Jonathan Carin (later Journey) om the keayboards... It can be this good - already then!! Love it!! 😍
I saw someone call The Babys a one-hit wonder. This was one of their 4 or 5 hits.
Isn't it Time
Midnight Rendezvous
Back on My Feet Again
Also Head First
I remember Turn and Walk Away big on the radio as well.

John Waite's voice and that piano!!!
His solo album in the 80s was great.
I love how personally relevant the sound and the message is to you both. Always a pleasure to see.
I like you guys!
Definitely a great band! 😁
One of my personal faves is "If You've Got the Time." Just a brilliant rocker!
Yahoo finally someone is playing the Baby's ! Love those guys ! They're song titled 'You (babe you got it' ) Great song 🎵
Definitely “Back on my feet again” !! I enjoy your reactions !
We had the best time growing up in the 70s!
The female backup singers nailing it on the video are Myrna Matthews & Katey Sagal.
✌❤🎶🎶❤✌ Thank you!
I wish one of your patrons well introduce you to The Association group. And all their great songs.
Saw them open for Alice Cooper believe it or not, back in '79/'80. Saw John Waite solo several times, and Jonathan Cain in Journey several times. John Waite was also in Bad English with Neal Schon of Journey.
John waite & The Baby's... great stuff 🎶👌
Released: 1978
I liked them much better as They Babys than his solo stuff.
"Head First" is another good song of theirs.
