@@aaronerskine8800 Sure It's not perfect and after 12 years we see the flaws more clearly but I still enjoy Skyrim and hope others do too, it's a good gateway into RPGs
Damn, watching you explore the bleak falls barrow sanctum shot me back 11.5 years to my first playthrough... wandering about and looking at that random casket. It's easy to forget how magical exploring Skyrim was for the first time

Thank you for watching and subscribing! I'm totally fine with non spoiler tips. I haven't googled anything about Skyrim because I'm trying to avoid spoilers.
I am trying a playthrough on vanilla Skyrim with no mods (other than the DLC that came with SE) without becoming the dragonborn (not talking to Balgruuf). Legendary difficulty of course. I suspect I still will be able to by dragon artifacts lkater, despite them not spawning.
34:45 - FYI (if you're not aware of this currently), standing too close to NPCs (Hadvar, for example) will cause them to cut off their dialog in the middle of a sentence. It's always nice to find a new blind Skyrim playthrough. Have fun! 👍
I absolutely love watching people's first reaction to Skyrim's violent kill-cams lol. They're always so sudden and out of nowhere. You were just a clueless prisoner a few seconds ago, but the FIRST stormcloak you fight, you grab them and cleave their collarbone in twain with a well-placed stab. It's hilarious that they aren't locked behind getting a certain level in the respective weapon class or something lol
I don't know but did anyone else recognize the comedic timing at 2:09:21 ? Before Krista is leaving the shop, Camilla Valerius is mentioning how happy she is, that the golden claw is back at it place... While Krista is knocking it out of its place right across the room. :DD Awesome video, i love seeing a blind lets play of this :)
Wholesome playthrough 👍 it's so nice seeing someone playing Skyrim for the first time. It brings back a lot of good memories. Also, love your calm play style you put attention to a lot of things and I like that it's really immersive 👌
a most excellent playthrough, Krista! I'm one of those grizzled, 5+ khr Skyrimmers, who know all the tips and tricks, all the minmax methods, and read probably 100+ (not even close to all) of the books. Your immersion into the land and lore is a true joy to watch.
Just started watching. I appreciate that you are taking your time and reading the lore. So many people just pick up Skyrim and speed through it, all the while missing all of the interesting stories and expansive explanations of the world written into it.
I've always gotten that vibe from Hadvar too, that he didn't want to kill you (the player) but was forced to do so anyway. Great vid so far and keep up the great work
Wow. I've played Skyrim like a dozen times now, and I've never thought to talk to Hadvar after getting out of Helgen but before reaching Riverwood. There's some very informative dialogue there for someone who doesn't know the story. This game just keeps on giving.
As someone who is obsessed with Skyrim i am very impressed by you so far. Things that take most players minutes to understand you get in a few seconds. You are clearly a natural.
O.o another blind skyrim playthrough to enjoy 😁 can't wait to see where you take the playthrough. I've been playing and modding skyirim for years, if you have any questions (especially if you start modding the game) don't hesitate to ask. Enjoy the awesome world of skyrim I'm sure your gonna love it.
hi, i just found your channel and as you can see I'm still in the first video, I've been watching it in pieces in the morning while i drink my coffee. I always love watching someone discover the amazement of Skyrim for the first time. and i can tell by the length of your recordings and your reactions that you are actually enjoying it, as i am also enjoying watching you play. So thank you for sharing!
Its nice to see people still playing this. I have bee playing on and off since it released back in 2011,, It was so visually stunning back then.. Now, over 3k hours in this game. and just started again.
It's always fun to see someone being introduced to new games. Great work! And I have quite the Playlist to binge watch already! Eager to see where this takes you!
Glad I found your channel! These blind playthroughs are a lot of fun, and you are MUCH better at Skyrim than most first-timers I've seen stumbling their way through it (although that can be fun at times, too😁). I subscribed, so I hope you keep going - this can be a long and rewarding journey!😊
I platinumed this game on the 360 back in 2013, and just platted the Anniversary Edition. Brought back so many good memories and a lot of stuff I kinda forgot about. It was great to experience again after 10+ years.
Had this randomly pop up on my recomended videos, and I can't complain as I am enjoying it haha. I look forward to watching the rest of your skyrim adventure!
I feel like I can say that unlike the obnoxious or boring videos that have millions of views, I found a playthrough that I can actually enjoy, for me that's a very special thing to be able to say... And thank you ;)
Glad to see another Skyrim player, look at everything, go everywhere and anywhere, don't worry about the main quest- you'll get there eventually. This game is gorgeous and you can play it over and over and still find things you didn't see before.
Hi Krista! 👋🤗🐈 It is NEVER to late to start the GREATEST adventure. Over the years, I have played several playthroughs and various characters, walking throughout Skyrim (have never used a mod... spoils devs creation). Yet, each and every time, I am amazed to come across a feature that I had not experienced nor seen. I would begin again... yet I recently took an arrow to the knee. 🐈
I play this game all the time, I do use mods but I dont go overboard with them, I just like to add new armours and weapons, new towns and cities and the odd new quest to try out too, having different followers especially with some enjoyable dialogue is great aswel and as amazing as the vanilla game is, it can look really beautiful with some texture mods
Its always good to see someone play skyrim for the first time. The game still holds up after all these years. If you can get it, you should play Elder Scrolls: Oblivion next.
You are truly in for a treat with Skyrim. I envy your inner gamer as you go through this incredible fantasy rpg experience for the first time. Soak it all in. Take your time. Explore. And just have fun. Enjoy!
Mikael the Bard did a great job having written the "Gentleman's Guide to Whiterun", a true masterpiece. And you Krista did a great job having read it! I am in awe of you digging the lore of this game: Stormcloaks, Imperials, Thalmor... I can't boast myself being as much attentive to details as you are. That's awesome! Thank you for taking me on another journey through Skyrim! I am definitely having good time watching your playthrough as it starts.
Hey Krista :) Loved this video! You really take your time to explore, and it's always so fun to watch people play Skyrim for the first time. I'm currently replaying it with no mods and trying to 100% it, as I haven't done a lot of quests before. Joining to watch you on this journey! :)
hands down one of the, if not the best skyrim playthroughs I've ever watched. You are very intelligent and are interested in the skyrim lore. Skyrim is meant to be played immersively as if you live in that world, cooking, fishing, walking around, talking to a dog, build a house, etc... it's not meant to be played with fancy mods, weapons and with the goal of finished the main quest. many of us here have never finished the main quest and that's how skyrim is meant to be played. please don't accept too many quests at a time since there are i think a few hundred unique quests in this game. keep playing the game immersively, be a good skyrim citizen and do whatever you want to do in this world!
I just had this video recommended to me, and it's the first of yours I've seen. So glad you get to experience this amazing game for the first time and decided to share it with us, subscribed.
If you prefer to fight in 3rd person, that's fine but then switch back to 1st person view when searching an area or room, is far easier and you don't miss things. Been playing this game since it came out, you sorta learn things the more you play. Glad you like the game.
Still play Skyrim which I started in 2014. The best thing about the game is the freedom to build a character with such a wide range of options. Watching you play just gives one an itch to play again
The books in TES games are amazing. The lore is so rich and interesting, if you're even remotely interested in reading all the books, I say go for it! I especially like fiction books (you can recognize them easily because they often level up one of your skills), the stories are really fun and quite clever. But there are lots of genres and types of books to choose from: you have prose, poetry and drama, histories and historical fiction, guides, metaphysics and philosophy books...
Nice to see a blind playthrough after all these years. Glad to see that you actually read the books too lol. They provide so many cool details and backstory, but most people ignore them.
The friends that mentioned it to you mentioned one of the best games ever. I love this game. You never get bored and are things to build up and finally playing the game past level fifty for the first time and getting close to level 72 is interesting and amazing. I can't wait for my character to reach level 100. I'm sure there are other missions that I'll be able to play the closer I get. Either way this is the game for me. There are other games that I also enjoy playing like Jedi fallen order amongst others. This is why I'm so glad that Bethesda made Skyrim.
Hey there leaving this comment for the algorythm! You seem to have a positive energy and i hope ur channel gets the succes u deserve for that. So wonderful to watch/listen to people experiencing Skyrim for the first time. And on the Switch no less! So many are playing with lots of mods, but doing this game as vanilla is so awesome. If you are actually playing Anniversary Edition(which is a downloadable content for Switch, Special Edition was what was originally sold for Switch) There are several “mods” included beyond the original games content. So you might have the ability to get the things mentioned elsewhere to increase your carry weight. Like your playing style. I mainly just listen to play throughs (at work) But have seen/played for many hours. Nice that you took the time to listen to the people talk, gathering information. Always a good idea in this game, since nearly anyone could give you a quest of some kind. Love hearing your thinking out loud as you shop and such. Also reading the books is very helpful. And you have a very nice voice for reading it out loud. Technically… I liked the game volume but your Mic did overdrive a bit… so if that hasn’t been mentioned maybe check that… But as I’m finding this after you have released Part 7…. I’ll be a bit catching up. Edit:(BTW I was subscriber #60 and Like #50 and View #445) and obviously some of us comment before finishing the video...🤣
I love your lets play so far... just hope for a deep dive in this from your side, just take your time please - it's 200 hours at least! Good job with golden claw puzzle - i'm really impressed!
Great vid Krista, very genuine reactions and natural chatting to yourself as you play thru - looking forward to seeing more of the same 👍 Very enjoyable watching someone else discover Skyrim - I've only started playing Skyrim in last six months or so (somebody in work mentioned it), never had the patience to stick with this style of game before but really enjoying it. Have got to level 56 using no glitches or exploits, carry weight 625 (and even higher when I equip the 'Grey Cowl' 😁).
Just found this let's play. So far it's been so fun and relaxing. Yay finally another player calling the symbol on the claw a dragonfly and not a moth lol. SO little but kinda bugs me when I watch others play that part.
Thanks for playing this great game. I play that too in between. So far I can say without spoiling you, I found all the playces on the map by foot. Took a lot of time. have fun with the game.
I agree with another commenter, you picked up the movement of the character well. You must have played some similar games or are just a natural. Great job!!!!
At first I was shocked someone was playing this on a switch then I saw she actually had time to read the loading info which was so fun back then sometimes these fast systems/PC don't give you them good ol loads
came here from a random suggested video and i think im gonna stick around...1 suggestion is to reverse the order on the playlist so the 1st video is on top..easyer to binge watch that way
I also start to play first time a month ago. I play on ps5, have to say that loading is way faster on ps5, i m glad since the first reason to get my ps5 was for faster loadings. edit: i'd loved to watch this Playthrough from your first quest. i guess i did like how you gave me pleasure listening. I love how its not annoying and strident but smooth, calm. Could listen for several hours, and that is something, a task that is not easy to reach, at least this is what everyone say.
Yep. I love how I can genuinely tell you are completely new to the game by simply how you move in the game itself. It is adorable. I haven't even gotten that far into the video but had to comment this. I'm only 14 minutes in so far. I'm enjoying it lol. Also, if you have any questions about the game feel free to ask. I know a good amount of lore and a lot of hidden things in the game. And SO MUCH about alchemy it is ridiculous. And if you want hidden chests and loot I am your person due to me being a loot goblin. If there is a stray gold coin on the ground, I know about it. If there is a potion on a rock, I've seen it. A chest hidden behind something? I've looted it many times lol.
I really do enjoy watching fun Skyrim playthroughs from time to time and your playthrough style sure looks like a ton of fun to me. Skyrim starts off great and keeps getting better and neater and better again in quite surprising ways. Subscribed for sure. Have a blast, I'm certain you will. []:-)
wow, first comment on a first movie on a channel. finally first at something :D lets see how this channel evolves, subbed btw you could turn down the game volume a bit
Thanks for watching! Thank you for the critique. I've already recorded the second video but I'll definitely turn the game volume down a bit for part 3.
Two tips for the beginning looter: your carry weight is increased by leveling your Stamina, 5 lbs per increase. The best way I have found when looting is to divide the value by the weight, if the result is 1 or less look at the item, unless there is some important quality (like it is Dwarven metal) or the weight was 0, toss it. Dwarves make really heavy stuff but dwarvensmiths can forge their metals back to ingots, so they are still valuable, and anything with 0 weight you can hold because the game doesn't have fractions of pounds.
you should try baldurs gate 3 too, skyrim is amazing btw, new to you channel but i love blind playtroughs as i think watching tutorials or game guides ruin the first time experience when iplay i like to learn all alone.
Which is pointless and a good life lesson. Do your thing but at the end of the day, without purpose, without goals, without a direction, it all amounts to nothing.
I have a little over 2,000 hours in Skyrim ( and it's not that much for all the game has ). I don't have time to watch now, but I am subbing and will catch up, about 30 minutes to make your character well good thing you don't have all the good visual mods or it would be 3+ hours. lol There are many mods for Skyrim ( workshop ones are super easy to get, just sub and it installs automatically, also the Nexus ) and many mods are not game-breaking, better visuals, more weapons... [edit] Forgot, Watching you might be just what I needed to jump back in the game. And not sure if you are playing on a console or PC with a controller, but if it's PC the keyboard and mouse can be easier and more accurate then a controller.
This reminds me of my first time playing. I wish I could forget everything about Skyrim so i can discover it all over again
And ES6 will be the next game after Starfield, however that game probably won't show up for years.

Very enjoyable watching someone else discover Skyrim - I've only started playing Skyrim in last six months or so (somebody in work mentioned it), never had the patience to stick with this style of game before but really enjoying it. Have got to level 56 using no glitches or exploits, carry weight 625 (and even higher when I equip the 'Grey Cowl' 😁).
after finally catching up on your fallout 4 playthrough I must say I'm excited to be watching you play Skyrim now
Wow. You have great potion instincts. It took me forever to craft anything.
48:35 very good attempt. I am really enjoying your immersion ❤️
This is the blessing of not knowing anything. You see everything in awe.
Nice find with that chest behind the waterfall. I dont think I've ever found it myself.
i love the intro. It show the empire is the bigger evil.
Chanced upon this and ended up watching the whole video before going to work, enjoyed it so thumbs up and a Subs from me.
I love this series, definitely subbing. Gonna keep up with you along the way!
Till watching this didn't even know the switch had Skyrim lol😅 Truly Todd Howard outdid himself.Soo many Skyrim versions
A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON I PLAY ON MY SWITCH TOO!!! YAYYYY
I kinda love (and hate) how you keep bumping into people only to be confused why they stop talking.
Just started this series and i love it!
came here from a random suggested video and i think im gonna stick around...1 suggestion is to reverse the order on the playlist so the 1st video is on top..easyer to binge watch that way
Seconding this!
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll fix that right away.
Could listen for several hours, and that is something, a task that is not easy to reach, at least this is what everyone say.
you have a khajiit bodyguard in the real life...cool.
this game amazing fun enjoy it alot
Let that sink in. That captain doesn't care that you're not a stormcloak. You go to the block.
lolwut ahahaha
Thank you for watching!
"I used to be an adventurer... until I took a arrow to the nee." lol great times.
The iPhone notif got me twice 😭😭💀💀
wow, first comment on a first movie on a channel. finally first at something :D
lets see how this channel evolves, subbed
btw you could turn down the game volume a bit
Thanks for watching! Thank you for the critique. I've already recorded the second video but I'll definitely turn the game volume down a bit for part 3.
I just love the beginning of this game…..
Midway into game...you are doing great! Don't forget to levi up...check all urns for gold. You can even loot the dead that are asleep in their beds.
I have been playing Skyrim ever since it came out. I actually have the DVD for the game to put it on my computer.
Hey man, I’m gonna sub to you, I like the way you analyze the story and I can’t wait to see where you take your channel!
Thank you so much
What I love about this game is you could literally not fight, simply explore around for ingredients and craft potions all day long if you wanted.
Which is pointless and a good life lesson. Do your thing but at the end of the day, without purpose, without goals, without a direction, it all amounts to nothing.
I'd be so rich. Not too pointless @@earth2saka
I have a little over 2,000 hours in Skyrim ( and it's not that much for all the game has ).
I don't have time to watch now, but I am subbing and will catch up, about 30 minutes to make your character well good thing you don't have all the good visual mods or it would be 3+ hours. lol
There are many mods for Skyrim ( workshop ones are super easy to get, just sub and it installs automatically, also the Nexus ) and many mods are not game-breaking, better visuals, more weapons...
[edit] Forgot, Watching you might be just what I needed to jump back in the game. And not sure if you are playing on a console or PC with a controller, but if it's PC the keyboard and mouse can be easier and more accurate then a controller.
Awesome video i love skyrim
Thanks!
Thank you!
Yay. 3rd person. enjoy the game. Follow whatever quest you want to. You dont HAVE to do any of them,
First time I've seen Arvel the Swift turn back and start fighting the player.
I love how she didn't even give him a chance, just burned that thief without hesitation.
