- Welcome back to the Barra Swapped BMW E46 Build!! In this episode start cutting up the car in order to make room for our Barra and ZF6. We find a few issues along the way that will need to be overcome.

Long road ahead guys, making so good progress though.
I don't envy you blokes with this build, especially refitting the dash around the modified firewall and tunnel, but it will be a great learning tool nonetheless! I hope it all goes to plan with regards to the engineer and the owner...
Have you guys looked a territory front sump with the steel bowl?
I've myself tried this build until down sizing in the house we moved too. And required to sell due to no room at the new place.
May have a few ideas for you guys and can show you a few photos of where I was at with it all.

It would be awesome. Unfortunately due to our location and the business still being so young it presents some issues though. Hopefully one day.
What model e46 was this originally? 318i? 325i?
Try Brintech in seven hills Sydney they do bmw conversion stuff have good conversion for a Nissan diff might have k frame spacers
Or M3s and 330d have 210mm diffs (large case). MS is LSD too which would be good. However each diff has its own subframe version.
If yous end up needing a fg windage tray hit me up I’ll have 1 in the next week or 2 when I put a ba sump on my fg motor I’m in Beaudesert

How does one even try quote for something like this?
Is the E46 that much different from a 36? Barra bolts into those pretty well without cutting from what I've seen
Love the content though, need to pick some brains about turbo LS setups
36 trans tunnel is almost identical
316i~318is is small case
320~328i is medium case
M3 large case
Btw I’ll be doing the same conversion in my e46 so I’m glued to these series of videos
320i is also small case. Same with the e36
Maybe the guys at zeroto60 can help out. They are pros in the BMW world looking good guys
Interesting build but why? Just buy an AU ford that already works as a great platform! Is it planned to be a dedicated track car? I’d say the results could be fun to drive but unpredictability unstable for the short vehicle track!
How can you even compare an AU to an E46? lol. Not a track car at all. Plan is ~500whp street car.
