I know there will be questions about the timing. This entire incident happened near the end of part 4 (right before I Installed the ultrawide) I decided not to include any of this in the dream setup videos because it would clutter the series, so I separated them into vlogs. Hope this clarifies it. As far as what killed my PC…it becomes more clear in the next vlog. 😂

Glad to know that, no matter how experienced or vetted you are, in the end you handle unknown errors exactly the same way we all do lol...."Please!....I'll never shave again!"
Also it shows me when I build my next pc to not to that kind of wall hang pc I will never build in that style case
A majority of people also don't understand EMT and ways it can negatively impact a PC. A lot of unexpected errors are produced by EMT, cases like this for instance look cool, but are not very practical for part longevity.
😂😂 I'll never shave again. That was so funny at the end of the vlog. Hope the error gets fixed very quickly. I love his build so much.
He jinxed it right there. The universe still wants him to shave.
@@canemprodigiosum8860 Electromagnetic Transmission, it can destroy hardware if left unchecked. In some cases frequent data corruption can be caused by it. That is why most certified professionals have a wrist ground when working on PCs, well at least the smart ones.
Hey man, I had the exact same issue, the way I solved it is by first removing the gpu, then remove cmos for 10 minutes, and then booting it up with my cpu's integrated graphics (I guess that using another gpu would also work), and resetting the bios manually each setting at a time (because automatic resets actually don't reset some settings like secure boot)
Then save and let the pc boot, and then finally putting the gpu back and everything worked fine.
I hope this works for you too
like so he sees
Well TechSource 52 likes on this one, THE PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW DID IT WORK?!?
From what I remember of videocards, this is usually the case. Integrated graphics work fine. Hence I don't ran a videocard since I don't even know when. A very long time.
neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerd
mine solved it turns out one of my ram slots are getting dirty and the motherboard cannot read my ram properly i always clean my pc every month lol
This is why I was never into watercooled pc's. When I think of the stress I would have to go through to just fix a problem. I feel for you my guy
To mitigate some of the stress for water cooling pc's, there are these quick connect fittings that people can buy. It makes it to where you can disconnect tubing without having to completely drain and refill the system because it stops water from going out from the part you disconnected. The only troubling part in my opinion though would be, you probably would still have to drain the gpu water block if you were to remove that. (Haven't looked into how it works with gpus, too risky to water cool a gpu for me)
@@perseus5285 still tho, its really not worth the hassle imo.
@@Mini-vi8oo true, blast that pc with airflow.
This is why I dont like power hog cpu and gpu. My 5+ year old build ryzen 1700 65w strix 2070 175w. Next build Ryzen 7900 65watt.
This is why i never mount or do watercooled pc. The amount of stress taking out apart is really annoying especially when the problem resolve and put it back together it will have the same or different issue. I agree it looked awesome but with this much stress i ain't doing it.
Really hard luck there mate!!! That’s one beast of a pc and I’m sure you’ll get it fixed in no time. Rooting for ya!!
Til, an expensive PC breaks the same way a cheap PC does.
Oh noooo!!! That's the last thing I wanted to hear!!! Hope you can get it sorted ASAP!!!

I think you should make an option to have the tech source logo on the mouse pads like “stealth” just bc I don’t really like logos on my stuff and I know other people agree, but def getting that yingyang and eternal tree
Agreed
The dragon looks very cool and it would look cooler without the logo
Yes
Tryna send it out to me ;)
Nah he needs it. It’s called branding. Without the logo people can just make the exact same design. So nope
To recover the battery dropped behind the headboard, get one of those magnets that look like pocket lanterns that you can get on Amazon
They should be powerful enough to Lift, so tie a rope to the keychain it has (tie it well with double knot or sailor knot or whatever you can and that this, the rope is very long and resistant because as you fall you will be in a world of problems) then let it fall behind the headboard and feel again as when you were a child and played catch fish with a toy callus. with a magnet instead of hook AND FISH THAT BATTERY ED!!!!!
Very Similar issue happened which I’ve gone through unfortunately with a similar setup. Ended up that windows 11 after update didn’t like having multiple output sources plugged in for first boot did everything you just did and swapping over to a single DP cable from GPU to CPU got me in then adjusted settings in windows and no issues since. GL and god bless having these companies at a keystroke willing to send you components on a whim.
Windows 11 is known for after you install it or upgrade it from a different version. That it will not give display input and give errors. If your PC is a Ryzen the only way to fix it is to connect a different GPU on the motherboard and it should start working again. And in order to use the same GPU that was on the system you have to go into the bios with your new GPU and reset to default bio's settings.. then it should fix the issue.. This apply also with Intel but u don't need a different graphics card due to the processor already having one..
this is the reason I have already faced the issue. nothing is broken it will be fixed
It's also because the riser cable, when the bios is affected/changed by Windows 11, it will give a VGA output error due to certain riser cables. This motherboard is not showing the VGA error and instead is cycling through to show CMOS.
This is one reason I only have 1 Ryzen system out of 6 PCs. With Intel it rarely does this, heck I havent seen any of my Intel systems do this. Not a fanboy but I swear I will never trust AMD until they stop making me swap GPUs every single time I swap CPUs or Windows.
@@roguecommandprompt5268 That's a microsoft issue, NOT amd.
Wow thats crazy... but its a hardware problem! How can a operating system brick your components like that?

OMG, I fully sympathize for you. Just the sheer amount of painstaking work getting it down and back up plus all the tediousness of disassembly and re-assembly when all you want to do is play on it, enjoy its aesthetic and bathe in its gloriousness. I must partake now to alleviate the anxiety I gained from watching this video. I can't wait to see the followup when its fixed and everything is good in the world again.
All he needs to do to fix the problem is plug in his main monitor!
I always love a good edit and for me the best one in here was when he was installing the smart lock and seemingly couldn't decide which way the door latch needed to be orientated . In the end it seems he got it correct. :)
Ed, you're such an inspiration man. I love how far you have come on the platform
Damn that hurts sooo much. It’s so damn aggravating too when it happens to a water cooled build. 2 years ago I had a full hardline loop pc and the mobo proceeded to slowly die and I chased errors and issues like that for months…. Needless to say, no matter how baller it is, hard line liquid cooling can be a disaster for repairs and maintenance. And I learned that lesson the damn hard way also
Similar issue here. Last year my 3090 inside my custom loop just up and died...
Thankfully EVGA got my a new card in 2 weeks
Hopefully that epic pc starts working again, it’s looks like a art piece
Well now it is just an art piece.

This happened to other when updating to 11. All you have to do is plug the gpu into a new pc and wipe it/reset it and your it’ll work again.
Nice dream setup man! Really! I ask myself the next question when considering the windows 11 upgrade: "Is there any benefit for me to go from Windows 10 to 11 at this particular moment?" and the answer is no, no there is no benefit to upgrade, i don't gain anything from upgrading, so i stay on windows 10, i ask myself also: "If i upgrade, are there any downfalls when i upgrade to 11?" and yes, yes there are significant downfalls, as you show here, the pc could just randomly die for no reason, plus there are some other quirks about windows 11 i don't like, like not being able to move the taskbar to the side or top, having to do 2 clicks to get a full right click context menu, the push from microsoft to use edge is just ridiculous and if you have a Home license, you HAVE to have internet, otherwise you can't complete the setup process! I mean, if you want those quirks, be my guest and upgrade asap. But i am keeping windows 10, i am happy with it and all the software that works on 11 works on 10 as well. And glas to see that the normal procedure of troubleshooting is almost the same with every custom build pc :p
I don't wanna be that guy but, there is a difference between a clip and a magazine. The simplest way to put it is, a magazine is external (with some exceptions like shotguns) and feeds ammo into the weapon. Clips are fixed into the weapon and the weapon feeds itself ammo. TBH it doesn't bother me much, just thought it would help ya out
It hurt to see that. My first thing was "TRY THE RAM!" Looking forward to seeing the conclusion, and Big Red's return!
Unfortunately, not that simple, no POST often means motherboard issue. I believe CPU could also cause this, but I'd be willing to bet board more often than not.

It hurt me to see your computer and you in this state

I'm glad it happened before the end of part 4
And now everything is fine with the computer and you bro

Ed! You should've put the bottom raceway from the outlet under the window boarder instead of the bottom bas board 😭
Oh my god, I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that. I was actually screaming at my TV watching that part
Exactly!!
I work at a PC recycling and repairing company, we have seen this issue with Windows 11 laptops and PCs. We had to do a secure data backup, then wipe the SSD and reinstall Windows for it to work. Really annoying update bug
Wow! That's so rough! Good luck, man.
I learnt a very valuable lesson whilst watching this video. Do not break in to Ed's house, I will not be leaving that house.
😭
For the HDMI cable dangling on the ceiling, why not try one of those retractable loops and loop the cable around it while its on the ceiling so that way you can pull the cable down when you need it, but it looks clean while you don't use it?
I know damn well that this man could buy another 50 of these nevertheless hope it gets recovered 💀
To him it's definitely not about the money, it's about the hard work and time he has spent designing and custom making the pc. "buying" it is one thing, creating it is the hard part.
I mean money doesn't buy the fact that he took time to design and build this pc
Yes fair enough I understand your points maybe I should rethink my comment.
@@TheCarpenterV Yea the buying part is never the part the matters the most. It's what you made of it and how it turned out, I feel his pain. They should've never released windows 11 with all those bugs.
time is priceless.
im confused about one thing you said in ultimate setup ep4 u said u didnt put in a 3090 ti cuz u didnt want to have to drain the loop and then remove the pipes to put it in but if u had to do it anyways why didnt you make the switch to the 3090 ti??
18:10 A Big TV with ambient lighting behind those monitors in the office room would be epic and soo overkill.
This is why I recommend not to make your pc very difficult to take down incase something goes wrong. I know it’s cool to mount on wall and such but ask yourself will it be easy to take down incase something goes wrong?
Unfortunately you are talking to the PCMR community, where showoff is key, actual convenience and practical shit comes in the last rows

Hey ED, I had the exact same issue with my pc when I updated it to windows 11. Connecting the pc to only 1 moniter fixed it for me. And once windows 11 was all installed and setup, i connected my other moniters and it worked without a issue. If that doesnt solve it, you can turn it on and turn it off 5 seconds after you turn it on at the end it should boot upto the bios and you can manually install windows 11

armoury is sick bro you should get another pistol hook them up to the wall:)
Its crazy to me as a New Zealander, that people have a dedicated armory in their house. Like for us, any Grandma can defend her entire family with just a wooden spoon it feels like. Guns just seem like an unnecessary defence mechanism.
Yep if you're English it's a tea towel

this intro was gripping, incredible. the cut back to happy edgar 18 hours ago was incredible. ok i’m less than a minute i’m gonna finish the video
16:13 You're naming this "Rick and Morty" right?? haha
I just cant with gun owners... "In case someone breaks in and tried to hurt my family."....your guns are in a different room...locked away...in a drawer...as if the person that's going to "hurt you" is going to sit there and wait for you to prepare for battle. Fantasy land.
So for you it’s better to leave the gun in an open space with a child at home

When I was working with Dell from 2020 - 2022 (left earlier this year) We had a lot of users motherboard crash when updating to Win 11, some reps asked dell about this and dell attempt to ask microsoft but they gave us the basic of troubleshoot
Check SSD Age
- check connections
- reseat this and that.
the entire spill, but after some time, we stop recommending windows 11 due to it crashing motherboards from time to time, a thing that a customer did as a work around is use a system that meet win 11 requirements that is inferior than the actual gaming pc and did the update with that drive and swat it to the main PC
Those kind of things can happen to literally everyone, so don't think the video was ruined by the pc problem because it was not. I watched the entire video without skipping a single sec! Amazing one, one more time! Greetings from Lisbon bro!
Hello Ed, Love the videos I am a farmer from Northern Ireland and I like gaming in my spare time, Love the setup and the Ts Pads! Sucks that the pc had a Cmos error had it once myself, Best of luck!

Sleak and clean AF I'm loving the cable management!
Ed if you want to get your channel performing better you should do more creator collabs. But i can see u have been doing busy videos that you kinda need to make with your house renovations , but continue doing what you love but just a recommendation, i think you should consider doing more collsbs

no hate but is there any reason for not adding additional outlets closer to items as apposed to running raceways the length of the room or floor to ceiling?
it was funny to watch you, sorry Ed but I did enjoy that :)
Having a cup of coffee and watching the dramas of the pc fully invested like I'm watching a film 😆 love the new pads bro. Can't wait to get one for my new setup ❤
It's really shitty when you want to buy one of the new mousepads, but you can only pay PayPay or a credit card system that doesn't work for you.
Great video as always Ed. Unlucky what happened, but those mousepads were amazing. My mousepad atm is terrrible its all ripped up and doesn’t let my mouse slide too well. And one thing that annoys me is that there are not many orange mousepads out there with designs as good as yours, and I think it would be cool if you made an orange themed mountain scape or something like that for the season 8 mousepads.
Dope vid! How much for your old monitor that got scratched?
Hey TechSource I recommend that you buy a trigger lock for the guns you have loaded that you use for self protection at your home. Accidents happen man, and this may prevent that :)
wow! what is the deal with the wallpaper on the monitor It doesnt really match the black and white vibe
Ed, sorry bout the PC bruh. However, those new mouse pads are lit, especially aurora and ying and yang. The black and red is fire 🔥 my guy.
Hey Ed, What Brand Of Raceways are you using in this video?
28:00 dude it’s literally taunting you 😂 That monitor turning on and then failing to post would have just sent me, I would have gone ape
Also, I saw that Jayz2cents did a video(s) on the Asus mobo recall. One of the components was soldered upside-down. Perhaps this board is part of that skew? I'm a novice with PC components/troubleshooting, so I could be wrong. Good luck 👍
Ouch, but on the bright side, you've created a really cool pachinko machine for CMOS batteries and screws, etc. On the setup build side, maybe add a little strip of hobby board across the top to prevent other things from unintentionally dropping back there. On the bricked PC, yeah curious what happened there, I've heard of a bad driver update causing issues, but never bricking a PC. That'd be a new one, at least for me.
W Video. What Keyboard is that btw?
Man, this is devestating. But, I look forward to watching your journey to fixing the problem. You got this, Ed! Stay hard! Never give up!
bro is everything alright.. been waiting for the part 2
There is a way to fix that if your monitor does respond even though yours is clearly not
No.1: try restarting the computer a normal restart usually creates a new checksum and eliminates the error.
No.2: if that works download and flash a BIOS update.
Download a update from the motherboard manufacturer's website.
No.3: reset BIOS.
No.4: replace the CMOS battery
No.5: if none of these works consulting technician or a computer expert.
Hey Ed, what smart switches are you using for your lights?
This was lowkey epic. The light turning off in the middle of everything was crazy. Lol
Man this techsource arc is hard to watch... That cliff hanger at the end!! Did the PC really DIE!!!???
I wish you better luck next time and i want to see the ultimate setup! KEEP GOING KING!!🥇🥇
You do know that the mobo you are using has a corroding issue in the VRM waterblock? I have the same thing but without custom loop
I don't get why you installed the cable runners in the You Tube Studio on the top of the baseboard and not directly under the windows. Now you have those vertical cablerunners going down. If you installed them under the window you would not have those. So got a really clean look. Also you should imo switched the cables themselver, exactly on lenght and of course in white.
Just a suggestion but... A fine tooth jeweler's saw might give you a nicer cut on the cable raceways and they're not really expensive either.
It would be really cool if we could see black and metallic gold for the ying and yan mouse pad. I'm pretty sure it would look amazing.
these mouse pad designs are amazing! love em
We're beyond 2nd September. Where's the new vlog video, Ed? Very curious to see how it all got fixed.
@TechSource where can we find the stuff you use for your cable management?
Hey edd what is that wallpaper u have on the pc? I love the colors on that 🔥🔥 great work on the new setup 💯💯💯
Just a recommendation. Only keep one load. Those springs will lose there push load all the time. I keep one and then rotate magazines. It’s happened too me. Will start jamming.
Reminds me of the Silicon Valley scene with Rich and his lawyer
Rich "I think it's Yin and Yang,"
Lawyer "Nah... they're opposites YING and YANG,"
💀🤣😂
Have you tried reinstalling or downgrading back to Windows 10? Sometimes going back to the most stable version of the OS will fix these problems. As a suggestion, perhaps you should capture your computer installation or updates on camera when you leave your computer alone so that you can see what happened.
The only thing i see in the remodeling, is if everything matches with the fountains you have in the front yard. Can be a good reason to tint film alot of the windows.
Your mousepad designs are honestly super cool!!! I just have a problem with paying 50% of the cost of the product for shipping. Hopefully one day those shipping rates decrease lol
writing this before watching the end. im doing an apprenticeship to become a IT specialist for systemintegrations in germany and i was one of the few at the company that first tried win11. it worked fine for like 2-4 months and then all of the sudden when i did a windows update and left the office, the next day my os was wrecked. couldnt start windows anymore, try different methods to recover my data on the notebook and in the end was able to somehow downgrade back to the windows 10 that was originally on the device and also got my data. all apps where gone so also chrome bookmarks etc where gone, but i got the more important stuff back. since that incident i stayed with win10.
you setups are so clean. really like the fire pit jacuzzi area too.
what vinyl did you use for the monitors ??
Is it the gpu or the riser cable? Disconnect it from the pcie slot and try the onboard hdmi and see what happens.
I think for you armory drawers it would really bring them together if you got foam pads with cutouts for everything to sit in, like different pistols and clips and what have you
Probably not smart advice, but here goes...try using a magnet tool to find the battery behind the headboard. Like I said, not sure if its smart cause the magnet may just kill the battery for all I know then what's the point of finding it, but just a suggestion. Good Luck Ed, it pains me, as well, to see you struggle with this beauty that is your setup!
Dude I feel your pain. This is one of the reasons why I won't upgrade to Win 11 unless I absolutely have to!
Your wallpapers are so cool, is it on wallpaper engine?
I'm glad to see that ASUS RMA the motherboard because they just had a recall on the Z690 Herio about 10,000 was recalled. Love your keyboard and mouse gaming pads. and I hope you get your setup working soon when the new boards come in.
