My 400 is awesome but 2 things. It’s takes about 4 tanks to get it goin nicely and open the oiler full open. 25” bars, for some reason, are long for that oiler but seems to do well now. All my Stihl saws had a break-in time of around 3-5 tanks. I have Echo everything but a saw but my father in-law swears by them and has several with his tree service. 👍
I’ll keep an eye on the oiler. I did turn it full open. It feels really good. Will see how it compares to my echos and husky’s once it’s broken in. Thanks for watching.
I’m really impressed with my 400! I have never run an Echo before, definitely looking forward to a comparison video. I’m pretty sure I know what saw will be on top…👍👍
I’ve never run a 400, but one thing I know about my 680 is the anti-vibe on it is lacking. In fact, I think my old 750EVL was easier on my hands. If I had a complaint about it - that would be it.
Yeah. 680 is a little stiff. I try and wear nice leather gloves when I’m running any saw. Seems to make a difference. Hope you enjoy the videos. I’m trying to demo and compare different saws from all brands so people have a reference before they go and buy. Thanks for watching.

What do you think about the plastic handle on the stihl ms 400c?
I think it is stupid! I forgot to mention it, but that’s an example of weight reduction gone to far in my opinion. Thanks for watching.
Where are our babies 🐶?
The wood hounds didn’t show up for work today! Must have been on vacation. 😂
