    Nice job!!!! I think it was better if two main springs were cleaned and lubricated. And i guess there may be some issue somewhere in the movement that makes it run so fast.because the bitt error lookes fine. Thanks for this video!!!

      hello, the springs have been washed and lubricated. not everything is shown in the film. the watch works very well, the accuracy is perfect 52 degrees is the wrong LA for this caliber. I did not find the right angle, looking at the shape of the pallet fork. I think the executioner should be around 40 I don't know. the amplitude would be lower and the accuracy closer to zero. on the desk, the watch has a plus of 2 seconds per day

      @@Karol235 hi. Thanks for reply. Great job!!! I just thought you didn't do that. Yes that might be around 48 degrees. But plus 2 seconds a day is great. Thanks for bringing it back to life!!!

    i have 2 of these watches . searchin for the dials . the two barrels is for to make the watch thin . and slim .

      in theory yes, in practice this mechanism is neither small nor thin

    Interesting movement, 2 barrels and an interesting click/crown wheel assembly. A few questions though, why not open and clean the barrels? Why not disassemble the click/crown wheel parts and lubricate them? Why not adjust it and not leave it at 40 s/d?
    Thanks for sharing such an interesting movement, I assume they were trying to save some money by using a cheap setting lever and riveting some of the wheels. Must be during or right after the quartz crisis.
    Keep up the great videos

      I just saw your reply regarding the barrels and lift angle, sorry for asking the same questions again.

    Sorry to ask but: are the 2 barrels there to have a longer power time reserve OR to apply a more constant force?🧐

    • @Karol235
      @Karol235  2 роки тому +2

      hello that's a good question. in theory, both. the springs in this watch are short and very thin. such a solution allows you to better arrange the place. but in this case the watchmakers wanted to do something different from everyone else. that's my opinion

    Hello. Great Job! My Sea-Chief with the Cal.253 is running significantly slow at about -3 to -4 minutes per day. I wish to improve the accuracy by regulating the hairspring. Is it clockwise for fast and anti-clockwise for slow in its regulation? Also, to what degree should I make the rotation for this anomaly?

    • @Karol235
      @Karol235  2 роки тому +1

      Hello
      there should be information on the balance bridge + -, or f s fast slow. 4 minutes is the service is needed. the adjustment may not help. if there is no information on the bridge, move it to shorten the hair and see the result in a few hours as it will not help to try the other side.
      Regards

      Hello,
      Thanks for the information. I adjusted the watch a bit and now it seems to run fine. Without a timegrapher I can't track the seconds precisely so I am worried about errors in minutes only. I shortened the hairspring slightly and now its no more than -15sec/day, which is still flawed but way better than what it was. Once again thanks for your reply. I don't have a fine watchmaker in my city so I take care of these things myself as much as I can after learning from what guys like you post here. I might have a few more queries in the future so I could bother you again 😉

      power reserve according to catalogs is 48h. this one worked 46 at 38 is no longer accurate

      @@jacobgreenmanedlion1863 I agree with you, the soviet mechanisms are very good. I have talked about it many times. personally, I really like soviet watches. I mean the price-quality relationship. a Soviet watch can be bought for a fraction of the price of a Swiss watch. and the Soviet one will work equally well and will be nicer / better built. in this case, slava -favre
