Living In A $35K Tiny Home In My Backyard In Atlanta, GA | Unlocked
Hats off to this young lady. Don't care about what anyone else thinks, living for free (her main home rented out and the tiny house is paid off), she's doing the right thing for her financial future.
That fact that you said you don't care means that you do care.
@@alp.9672 No. I don't. 🤷♂️
@@alp.9672 pedant.
I appreciate you! Thank you for watching ☺️
@@DeanBKK you sound like a fool. Clown.
THIS is what winning at life looks like. She's so young and has her stuff completely together and handled. Impressive. Congrats
@Hasaan Khan I want to Be her when I grow up. I'm 54 🙂
Notice she has no kids which makes it easier but I've always heard once you hit 45 being a lone-wolf gets boring.
@@blast4me754 good thing she has plenty of time before she has to worry about that! 😊
@@blast4me754 I just turned 30 and I couldn't imagine having a child or children! I wouldn't be where I am today with them.
@Riorozen then they should go have kids. 😂
I love that she gave the good and the bad of the whole experience. Sometimes when you see these, people make it seem like there was no glitches in the road.
So true, she is amazing for doing that. Almost everything I do it is often more difficult than I anticipated, and lots more money.
She should be teaching classes to other young adults on how to build wealth! She’s amazing!
ITA! She is awesome
You're absolutely right. But unfortunately, most kids don't really think about the future. Especially decades later. I was the same way. I didn't think about investing or anything like that as a kid or even a young adult. The thought of me being 60 years old felt like 1 million years ahead. People don't realize how fast It can creep up on you..
Credit cards to build tiny home. Shouldn’t be teaching anything to anyone
@@DavidRamseyIII yeah, that's very true.
She paid way too much for a tiny home she's not a hundred percent satisfied with.. i feel like she should have asked a builder instead of paying 20k for labor on that tiny house
she gets it and with her age and ability to take advantage of compounding interest, This sister is well on her way to building Generational Wealth!! #LessIsMore #Ownership
Thank you for watching! ☺️
Whats compounding interest?
@W. Dearth “Generational wealth is essentially any kind of asset that is passed down from one generation to the next. “ which includes cash, investment funds, stocks and bonds, real estate properties and businesses…maybe it’s you that didn’t know the meaning of Generational wealth.
Hardly
@@freyastar4399 no, using that a single share of stock being inherited would qualify with such a flimsy definition. This is true generational wealth
“Generational wealth is achieved when you've accumulated enough investments to pay for your families living expenses in perpetuity without touching the principal. “
I'm in awe of this young woman on how she SAVED, and paid off her debt.. Her discipline is fascinating!! Salute
Remarkable!! So proud of you!! I'm 58 and I don't have my life as together as you. I live in a tiny house. While I was preparing to leave my husband and looking for somewhere to live; my daughter and son in law helped me by offering their unused shed. They knew i loved the whole tiny house movement. I saw the potential and with very little money and a lot of hard work on my own; I now have a place to call home again. Still needs work but I'm happy!!
I love that you were open and upfront about your mistakes in building the tiny home. It’s good information for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps. You have a wonderful head on your shoulder, for being about the business. Keep going, you’ll end up with your own hotel someday, or a tiny Home village.
I knew your house looked familiar!
My girls and I rented your primary house for my Birthday Staycation in 2020. We really enjoyed our stay
Would definitely rent again.❤️ Your Tiny House is so cute!
What part of Atlanta? I can’t find it
@@FrysGIRL it's not listed anymore. I can't find it on Airbnb.

Graham is gonna be so upset cause he won't have anything to critique her about lol She's doing amazing!
I have one. She should have done more research on contractors.
After the FTX debacle, I no longer listen to him.
Maybe a bigger “small” house since her backyard is so big would be my only critique. Then she would have more room upstairs.
She should critique him because she is more frugal.
His content has really gone downhill in the last 3 years. He sold out
Very smart young lady!
This episode was inspiring 👏
Thank you for watching! ☺️
@@PreciousPrice very smart indeed. I really liked that you haven't gone overboard like some of those financial tiktokers who spout nonsense regarding real estate and leveraging to have dozens of properties all of which can be foreclosed upon in a crash.
If I could change two things it'd be the ceiling space above the bed, like you mentioned, and definitely remove that barn door on the bathroom. It's a cool design touch but more aesthetic than functional. If there's only one person living there it's fine but not great when there's two people there. I stayed in an Airbnb recently with one of those and it means you can't fully close the door to the bathroom (since there's always the gap), which means no sense of real privacy when someone has to use the bathroom. Anyways, just a thought.
Good for her. I love to see this kind of thinking with the younger generation
I love the home, but more importantly, I love how smart you were with the cost recoup, the willingness to rent a room while the house was being built, rental income and stacking your cash!!
This was an excellent story of a woman who has goals and direction in her life and is making smart choices. Not allowing anyone to hold her back!! You go girl!!
Wow u are killing it! I bought my first home and rented it out on airbnb as well and habe never had to pay out of pocket for my mortgage, i was able to purchase another home within 6 months, and do as u do, rent it out to monthly tenants and sometimes airbnb. U did an amazing job designing your tiny home and the primary is really cool too. I love this show so much , its so inspiring

I remember another UA-camr, introducing Precious Price to his viewers when he did a segment on him staying a Tiny house Air BNB.. I went to her YT Channel to view her process of success, This young lady understood the assignment very early in her life, and she's not even finish yet..
She’s very good with her money. I love that for her! ❤
This young woman definitely has a great vision for her long-term goals. Kudos to her. Hopefully she will be an influence to other young adults to focus on their futures as well. Congrats!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Lol. Credit cards and future stock growth just to look good on UA-cam

If I were her mother, I’d tell her, “I am SO proud of you, so proud!” Now, let me learn from you!😊❤
Good job! I'm in Charlotte, NC and bult my first ADU in 2014 and my second ADU (at another property) in 2018. I own and operate four doors and we did $105k in revenue last year. Best financial decision I have ever made (besides buying the homes to start with in 1998 and 2003.)
@@carolyn4203 accessory dwelling unit i believe
I’m guessing that buying ADUs, your income is looked at differently? Or are you just in a lotto be able to afford 5 mortgages ?
@@childishgambino4845 you don't buy ADUs per-se. You build them on an existing property you own. I used a HELOC, built the first ADU, then I moved into the other house and refinanced my loan into a new mortgage. And built the second ADU. This was back when you could get decent rates though. At this point, I owe $180k on one property and I have four rentals. I'm not rich, just mindful with my money.
Great job, love the layout of the tiny house. Love the window in the bathroom as well as above the kitchen sink. Smart lady, hats off to her for her setup!
I think she is just,, Awesome!!😁❤️The fact that she recognized what AirBnB was doing to the rental market, then decided to help low income or full time students rent for a decent price, ALL while living Free for herself is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Thank You Precious!!!🙏🙏❤️❤️😊
I'm doing this now :) just bought a 14x24 lofted barn for $9375. I've budgeted an extra $15000 and am building it myself.
I live in Atlanta, and this is becoming very popular and similar avenues like it. My friend has a condo in Kennesaw she owns 2 stories , she rented a new apartment in Marietta. Bc she works close to the city she moved into the apartment and is renting out her condo to KSU students. She is literally making money while she sleeps , women like this and my friend are really an inspiration to black women. We need to work on our credit work on residual income and live free!!!
You have done such a wonderful job of paying off your tiny home and earning more renting the rooms in your house rather than your whole house. Well done young lady
She’s so wise
I’d really do the same , it’s all about staying financially stable, and I love the house . This is so inspiring because I’m 25.
Good for you, Precious!. I bought my house in 2019 as well doing the same idea in my own backyard, but due to me living in California (cheap farmland- not a pricey home), the permit process is a long and tedious process. Nonetheless It's wonderful to see other young people in all parts of the country thinking of the same ideas to achieve Financial Freedom. Definitely feel free to message if you want to share ideas. It's nice to know other people around the country that want to achieve the same goal.
Total respect and admiration for you, especially with you paying off all the debt for the tiny house already!
Where do you find cheap farm land in California? I want to move to warmer climate and build my own home. I've been studying different builds for the last 5+ years and have settled for doing something like what this company in South Africa is doing. Omni360 does a poured panels ua-cam.com/video/gPFDTr-xzv8/v-deo.html
I'm going to use the styro aircrete formula from this channel ua-cam.com/video/IqUbTmelkRI/v-deo.html / he did a 12x20 shed for $1100.00. Also, I used to work for architects, engineers and love to build things and my favorite place to go is Home Depot and Lowes 😍😍
Super proud of you Precious🙏🏽
Everyday I ask myself why I don't move to Atlanta 😭. I'm glad she was able to maximize her home and land.
This lady, her dog, and the tiny house are all lovely. I love seeing young adults making good decisions
Precious, this is great. What a lovely tiny house. You have managed very well. Wishing you the best in life.
These stories are so inspirational. I went from homeless, not enough money to buy a burger, to making four million in the last year, all because i (accidentally) stumbled upon a CNBC make it video and got inspired as heck
I actually like this idea a lot. I never could see myself living in a huge house and been debating between getting a full sized house and an RV and condo and this is perfect.
Get house, live in the backyard with a boxabl house and perhaps get an RV if I don't want to live at my homestead for a while. Just need to find a place with lots of land surrounding the house and that will be perfect. 🔥🔥🔥
yeah your landlord living in a small shack in your back yard, Nothing weird about that.
I know it doesnt happen very often but i remember being on high bed like that and falling off and waking up in middle of fall at least couple times and that hurts when you wake up and hit the floor. Good luck staying safe!
I would love a house like this. As an early Gen Z, I can't see myself spending a million dollars on a home earned through years and years of work
Such an intelligent young lady, very focused and goal oriented. These are the types of videos that should go viral.
Get it, girl👏🏾 You are doin the dern thang!! I think $1000 for a room is insane; but hey, I guess ppl are willing to pay it and the market allows you to squeeze out as much profit as possible. With three suites, you’re def on your way to financial freedom. Praying you the best and that you always give back because generosity begets generosity🙌🏾
It's all about where you live at. In San Francisco, $1000 will barely get you a room, with roommates that you don't even know! lmao
@@CryptoKernels Dern, that’s crazy expensive for no good reason; but ya, you’re right. It’s all about location, location, location📍
I would say for Georgia that does seem pricey, I thought Georgia was supposed to have lower living costs... where I live in PA, renting out a room greatly varies... probably as low as $500 and up to $1000+ depending on the house/apartment. Obviously luxury apartments are gonna be on the high end. Average cost to share a house/apartment is around $800 plus utilities.
Yep, I'm in L.A., and people will rent out their second room in a two-bedroom apartment for $1,400 a month. But then again, the rent out here is ridiculously expensive anyway.
especially the house only being 100,000 she’s gonna be done paying it before she knows it
Love this! She’s very smart and make a great decision building her tiny because real wealth is in real estate!❤️🙌🏾
This is one of coziest, nicest tiny living spaces I’ve seen on YT (which is a lot). Amazing job!!! Can’t believe it’s less than 300 sf!!
Feels comfortable and just perfect for one person.
The Tiny House is almost perfect, definitely not a fan of the sleeping area but still much better than some "studio" apartments in New York City
Total respect. This girl is So impressive !
A 3 bed in ATL for under 200K. Only 4 years ago, but tragically that might be the last time you see homes at that price anywhere in GA.
Absolutely this!
Yeah unfortunately 😒
This lady was brilliant coming up with these ideas. Also thinking long term for the future 👏
My daughter is almost her age and to see this beautiful young lady WIN makes me proud . Educated, articulate, beautiful and soon to be a millionaire. Good job young lady !
This is one of the best looking tiny house I've seen!
So clean, bright and well thought out.
I actually feels like a small home
Precious, your home is STUNNING!
You are an amazing young woman. ❤️ that your head is on straight, you learn from your mistakes. The tiny house is beautiful. Best wishes always.
There’s nothing like an owner/builder 🏠🙏🏿💰
My friend's used to rent out bedrooms in their house as well to friends only. $350/month and all the roommates had to split the bills (heat, electricity, wi-fi and cable). It made the payments for my buddy on his house.
But you want your space this home is perfect... living with people is awful. More tiny homes...
People can work at McDonald's and afford this... once they have one child for 5 years they can stay at that tiny home till all he'll breaks loose.
Such a smart level headed young lady. She is wise beyond her years. Whoever raised her did a good job with her! Wishing her continued success!
At your age, you're amazing and doing so great! So inspirational
Thank you for watching! ☺️
She is smart and money-conscious.👌
And when she has a family, she can move into the main house. Her parents can move into her tiny house instead of a retirement home, take care of her kids, and they live happily ever after without a banker dipping into their pockets. ADUs (accessory dwelling units), where it's possible to build them (obviously), can be part of the solution to shortages in starter homes.
since the ROI of tiny house is amazing (payoff in 2 years), her parents can get another 30k USD house and live there.
I have so many questions: 1. how did you get a permit to live in a shed in your yard? 2. did you connect plumbing to the main house? 3. was it hard to get permits from the City? 4. don't you need a special permit to run AirBnB? 5. are you still able to claim Homestead if you rent the main house? 6. did you need a special foundation for that shed? 7. What was the total cost for the shed with all installations and upgrades you did incl. windows, plumbing, electricity, insolation, etc. etc. THANK YOU.
Adorable tiny home! And this lady has big goals I expect she will achieve!
You are the lady with the eyes of the EAGLES!!!!, you see far and clear. Congratulations for saying it as it is....
This is so inspiring! For me, I would just add on a full bed room just for a little more space and full bathroom and it would be perfect.
You inspire me to build my own as well . 🙏
I could never live that close to my Tenants. But she is Phenomenal in what she did 👏
Me either 2 Close
Yes, I would never reveal I was the owner. I would have a property manager.
This is amazing! Definitely wasn’t thinking this way when I was 26. Go head!
This is the most practical tiny house that I have ever seen.
Very cool idea! I am glad she eliminated her credit card debt by now. $20k of debt at an average 23.99% APR for a credit card is over +$400/mo in interest alone. A personal loan (~3-11% APR) may be a better solution for others looking to do this and who don't have the cash on hand.
That's a limited thinking. People like her and I, we use a new credit card that offers 16 months of 0% APR which is better than conventional private loan.
Could have used cards at 0% interest too.
@@futurelawyernyc There are better solutions, like this one! Just have a plan to pay off that credit card in 16 months
Thank you for watching! ☺️ I did go the 0% interest route and paid things off prior to extra debt accumulating.

I love your speaking and intelligence! You are amazing! Young but so mature and driven. The world needs you to reach others! Total leader! Build your empire young lady! God bless you!
Really cool, always wondered how zoning worked, wish they talked more about the planning and finding good contractors
This is a smart move! Coming from a couple that is also living small in our travel trailer, it is such a financial freedom to not have to worry about a huge mortgage and renting out her property? Genius! Take notes! Also love how open it is inside with the lighter color, definitely helps to make it feel a bit bigger! Keep it up!

Aww this was a great space. I see tuff sheds in my area with two stores now. What a great view today. You did a great job here. It shows we over spend on so much when less is amazing. Our needs are still met. I agree the loft could us a bit of head space. You still utilized your space good. 🥰💝🙋♀️
