Kudos for filming while doing it ! I was also nearly broken by replacing my 110 fuel tank and couldn't even have begun to do it successfully if I'd tried to film it.
So the paint that it came with was a thin spray of some alkid based paint at 20 to 50 microns(by eye). And I over coated it with Santex exterior one coat gloss. like I said it takes forever to dry but is really good when it does. I brushed on two coats probably added about another 150 microns of paint. So it should last a good long time. Hope this helps.
@@Landy_Bill_Ex_Mil hi I used xylene thinners from toolstation, white spirit or methylated spirits with leave a residue that will likely cause adhesion issues as they are oil based.
