The Pokemon Ripping and A.I Accusations was all by one guy on Twitter and he ultimately admitted to making it all up after his own material was debunked and said he did it out of spite and would do it again.
If you did not know pocketpair made a game that is call craftopia that came out in 2020 while legends of arceus came out in 2022, nintendo is Sueing the Thorwing mechanic base off from legends of arceus BUT Pocketpair got the thorwing mechanic first before nintendo.
It's legalist moves like these that make me despise the obscene and irredeemably powerful in the world today. I bet you the reason this place hasn't collided with a star is cuz these guys are paying their "gods" to keep us suffering their existence.
I have heard Japanese courts can be super frustrating relative to other courts. They also almost always favour senior companies because they are established and have respect in the community, and even if they lose they can also be awarded damages for almost the same value as the suit despite losing as a punishment for inconveniencing the older company or bringing embarrassment to the community be forcing a larger company to go after them. Hopefully palworld has a REALLY old lawyer to represent them so the younger nintendo lawyers will have a harder time bringing a case against them without losing respect before the judge.
The capture mechanic Palworld uses is the same as their prior game Craftopia. Which was released in 2020, a year before the patent was filed in 2021. So Pokemon technically filed a patent on something that was being used for over a year, so it should have been listed as public domain, and not able to be patented. So I hope it backfires on Nintendo.
Doesn't matter, Pocketpair didn't patent it and Japan uses the, first come first served system. Nintendo patented it so the Japanese legal system says they can sue
Are there any actual court cases on the Nemesis system? I've worked on a bunch of games that patented game mechanics. It's a PR move, they have never been enforced. It was never the goal. They just wanted some press. I think this Nemesis system thing is not a thing at all. It's just the internet being crazy. Also, they couldn't keep the patent if it went to court. There's tons of prior art. Heck I worked on a game in 1995 that had a system similar to the nemesis system, just way simpler. It's not an enforceable patent.
@@tenthshadow2840 well I always go back to the idea you can't patent shapes or should not be patenting mechanics. That is a very very slippery slope. Ex: you have a instrument that launches ballistics of which needs to be reloaded after x shots. It can be used for close range or long ranger where you hip fire or down sites for more accuracy. A gun, we patent gun
This is not good for Nintendo. I can see why they won't let this go. The problem is it's similar enough. I haven't played Palworld and I haven't been a Pokemon fan since 1998. When Pokemon first appeared and I was interested in it, we didn't have video games of it, we were still collecting Tazos, little plastic coins. Anyway, my point is, this Palworld looks very similar to Pokemon. Someone like me sees it and the first thing to come to my mind is it's Pokemon with guns. Not good. I can't comment on any of the features modern Pokemon games even have for conveying violence, because I don't know and don't care enough to find out. They might have guns in the original IP by now for all I know... The reasons are all beside the point. They're gonna find some obscure trifle and shut this thing down for good then erase even the memory of it.

@@Halvos12 that's because Nintendo clearly made a dirty work
For owning their creativity in order to snatched it up
I always miss the stream. Good to see you uploading something, because I can't see newer streams on the channel
you're not missing them he just hasn't streamed in 3 weeks 😆
@@eelge that explains it :D
just because something is legal doesn't make it right
Thier one screw up is they patented the articles in question after palworld was created.

21:45 - 22:00 is a short if ive ever seen one
the patent is the pokeball, palworld uses "spheres"
the patent was* the pokeball until they split it up into sub-patents one of them now being a "ball-like object or container"
It's more football shaped
wont that be consdier as a copy right instand of Patent

@@rozeMMOreact definitely ball like bcuz the thing is there's a lot of monster catching games and none have a ball.
Skyrim allowed a buff for being well rested
i hope palworld loses. so many of them look just like pokemon.

It's more like Ark Survival Evolved with furry creatures, as the bigger portion is the survival aspect rather than the capturing.
Downvoted and turned away at the rant against Rings of Power. Show ain't that bad. It's just that you feel cool shitting on it.
