San Martin SN0129GB Marble Dial GMT - Keep or Sell?

I just picked this up on the current sale. I really dig a white dial, this adds something a little more special with the marble and I wanted to add another gmt to the collection.

Good deal for sure, and thoughtful review! I sold my SM GMT and got half of what it cost on sale, so that’s another reason to try to keep it. I’m always a little tempted, but I think I will resist getting another, as I just wear other watches instead.

Thank you for the review. I have the same watch with the Aventurine dial. It's really beautiful especially in the sun. A tad heavy as you mentioned and the clasp is big and heavy too. I am considering changing the bracelet and, horror of horros, I quite like hollow/rolled links as they make watches feel lighter. Don't mind the rattling. Perhaps it's just me? SM make really great quality watches, without a doubt. The marble version is very subtle and elegant indeed.

Yet another great video review, I like the marble dial SM. It’s now added to my wish list. Next watch on my list is an affordable meteorite dial.

I’m not a watch snob but for some reason I turn my nose up at SM..maybe it’s the Ali Express affiliation or the homage thing. But I do like the look of this watch and like you I have the GS heritage GMT 9F which I love…but I rarely wear for the fear of scratching it! Maybe I should get one and see it in the flesh.

The san martin 0129 doesnt really share anything with the GS.
Hands. Case, bracelet, indices eyc, but certainly givrs the gs vibe as soon as you look at it.
The rimalti and new cronos look alot more like that Gs, using same style hands and indices and the case is cut the same .
I think thry copied the bracelet too
I have the 0129 dune with polished link bracelet.
I think SM did a better job with the 0130 bracelet, brushed links but centre links are raised with a champered polished edge.
This watch feels even more substantial
