CW C63 sea lander in the morpho blue

I am always tempted by that cool citizen dial! For me, I think I would include the Direnzo DRZ - 03 blue dial, which they issued on their original model, but I don’t know if they have re-issued since. I think that dial really put them on the map. I am also a big fan of the Christopher Ward. #Tide BlueDial, which might have been just under 1000 when it first came out, at least on a strap. The Zelos Eagle 2 in blue looks amazing as well. So many great blue dials, so little time! Lol.

Was the same with Baltic, always loved it and never owned it until the GMT green and blue bezel. It has become my favorite watch in my collection. Get the blue gilt! Squale might not be a Homage either as if you look at when Rolex got the crown guards, squale had a model that looks like the modern sub around the same year... The 1960 Squale Atmos 25, if you find a photo it is a sub including the Mercedes hands.

I really appreciate your go-to $1000 limit, but it would be nice to see more range, not that it's necessarily an option to buy, but just to give more context. Anyway, I feel like I'm being overly demanding, love the content, bye 😀

Great recommendations and terrific video as always. The Citizen NB1050-59L is a personal favourite. It's exquisite and very affordable.

That Citizen is something else. My eyesight isn't remarkable for its accuracy, but it looks somewhere between blue and green to me, bringing to mind Miles Davis + Bill Evans's beautiful ballad 'Blue in Green'.

Deep Blue really is an easy colour to work with, similar to classic white dials. I think you should make a twist video where such easy/classic design cues have not been executed well. That would be fun too!

I don’t get the love for Cartier, I just don’t. Handsome sure but that’s it for me. I don’t normally pay attention to watches over 10 grand but thanks to your video I did today. The only two that really impress me above that amount are the 1908 and the Lange, both look stupendous. Interesting that I am more drawn to the Japanese stuff, the Citizen and Grand Seiko stand out to me. I also really like a Speedy, especially the versions with the alpha hands, is that a Pro maybe? Great videos as always, I just dig your whole vibe

Ive got six Citizens. Oldest is 15cyears, its taken a battering, never been serviced and its still keeping perfectly accessible time keeping. Nice to see attitudes to the vrand getting more positive.

Interesting inclusion the MR-G (Casio G-Shock). My counter-choice (or simply a recommend) to that would be to have a look at the MT-G B3000 series, launched in 2022. And the reason that I find this series interesting would be that they're only 12.1mm thick, which makes them lay flat to the wrist, so a heck of a lot less "chunky" than nearly anything else in the G-Shock catalogue.

I’d expand to 12 to have more options and colors but hell yeah it’s nice, it’s not mine but that’s the whole point right!

Great choices! I might go with Vacheron Overseas Everest dual time, NOS Seiko Grandfather Tuna, JLC Reverso Hybris (newer model), three or four Grand Seikos of different movement types, at least 10 G-Shocks including at least one MRG model, a few Seikos, Vacheron 222 gold, two or three Christopher Ward watches, and around 10 watches from various micro brands. Oh yeah and something 100% handmade (something fun or dressy, preferably both). Wow I’m greedy as F!!

I'm wearing my Citizen The Citizen right now. I bought it this year. I wear it every day and I absolutely love it. It came from Japan set to the second. I rolled the hour hand back, recovered the day, and it's been spot on ever since. It's beautiful and keeps almost exactly perfect time.

I'm only a fan of dress watches. I like the better dialled Seiko, King Seiko and Grand Seiko. The many complications of Patek. The plainer Vacheron and JLC and some Cartier bling. And then hit the the stratosphere with Moritz Grossman and Phillipe Dufour.

You could have added "it would be cheaper to buy a replacement watch rather than to try and have any Chinese mechanical watch repaired or serviced". We all know that sub £500 mechanical watches are a fad that will end up abandoned in drawers as soon as they require servicing due to the costs involved; this included all the Seiko 5's and cheaper Citizens that have become popular again in the past few years.

I've got a Signum Cuda with a great unusual brown MOP dial. It's a 39mm and the date is at the 6 position. Great for smaller wrists due to angled chapter ring making smaller dial
