I did something similar to this for my bunny, Patches. However, I potty trained her before having her free roam the apartment. So basically trained her in the pin to show her where she has to go pee/poop in when she has to. It's easier this way, especially if it's your first pet bunny. Some people like to train them while letting them free roam the house, but I didnt want to have to clean up a mess since I have carpet. So once she learned where she had to pee and poop, I was able to let her free roam the house. Ive had Patches for almost a year now and I haven't seen a single accident made ❤
MosaicTrickyMewz that is the totally opposite with my bunny. I’ve tried many things potty train her but it just doesn’t work. She refuses to go into the littler box and pees outside of it. I tried putting her in there multiple times but she jumps right out. What do I do??
Lilly the Bunny When I just got my bunny my dad always says to keep him locked in his cage alot(he can get out when someone from my family allows him which is me) because of my bunny getting locked in the cage so much he just thinks thats where he peepee and poopoo nowadays he is allowed to roam around outside his cage even at night and he still pees in his cage as a "trained bunny"😃
Your Lennon looks a lot like the first rabbit my family ever had. When I was a baby, my 16 year old sister saw a black rabbit running around near a pubic pool on Easter. Obviously a pet someone abandoned because in Canada the wild rabbits are brown. They ended up catching her, she gave birth shortly after (likely pregnant from a wild rabbit) and unfortunately none of the babies survived. She ended up living a very long life, we had her over 10 years and never knew her true age. She was named Easter because of when she was found. ☺️

They are both not fixed ( I'm too young to get a job and pay for it and my mom doesn't believe they need to be neutered. How do I get him littered trained???? It's been about 2 months

Thank you so much for this video! After fighting with our rabbit over conventional triangular potty, we finally watched this video and bought a box, cut it to make a perfect entrance as shown here, put her old nappy, filling and hay, and she loved the new potty right away, literally the same evening. Throughout the next three days now she has only been doing her stuff there and nowhere else. Thanks a lot ❤
Thank you for making this video, I have not tried this yet but I will shortly as I’m switching my rabbits living situation. As soon as it’s done I’ll be sure to train them
My bunny, Bunche, is not neutered or spayed and he learned naturally. I recommend before teaching just put the litter box in there for a few days to see if they do learn naturally.
Mines are on their 2nd day with a litter box and they only pee there (thank god) but still have some scattered poopies in their room. They are females but they catch on quick!
My bunny somehow trained herself to use the bathroom. Yes bAtHroOm! I was pretty shocked at the sight of her peeing and pooping on the small drain where water escape the other day. It has become a habit and she will use the bathroom if the distance to her litterbox is so far away lol!
I just got my rabbit and he's running all around my room. We had a huge carpet so I was hoping he wouldn't pee anywhere 😩 so this was a big help 👌☺thanks!!!
Thank you I will definitely try it! I got mine a litter box and he just digs out the bedding and uses it as a bed and uses the corners on his cage. Edit: wow it’s only about 45 minutes later, I put his droppings in his litter box and he’s already going in there! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for this video,I've recently been planning on getting him a cage without bedding and also letting him free roam around my bedroom without him having any accidents,I'm gonna try to potty train him now, thank you so mouch
I started with my rabbit on 6 Jun 2021. Her name is Hazel .I didn't train her to . I just used a cage , to protect her from any preditor . I don't have one but in case any cat comes. And yesterday when I was cleaning her cage she was playing all round the room and I saw her getting in the cage and she began to groom her face .... actually she was doing her business. Once she did it , she went to play again . So , I don't blame your trick but I feel easier to giving them their food in their cage and keeping them in for atleast 2 hours after you give them food. In this way they'll learn to use their cage to do their business. And I feel cage is better than play pen. Because it is a full secured place for your bunny as play pens do not have the top and floor . Thankyou Lorelei and lennon 😃
My bunnies pee in their litter box but they still poop everywhere. What should I do? I keep putting it in the box but it doesn't help. I've been doing it for a month now.
Maris I don't own a bunny but I know that sometimes cats will do this because they want to pee and poo separately so maybe try getting a second litter box?

They said after the bunny didn't pee or poop in the garage for 1 whole month, we could bring it inside. I could never get that poor thing to use it's litter box until I found this video. As soon as I finished this video I litterly set out to our garage to potty train it. About a month and a half later, we forgot to lock the garage and some one racoons broke in! Handheld Ultraviolet touches are very good to detect pet urine in the dark & especially if pets are on carpet, it glows white .untreated spills lead to human repertory problems. Great video.
Well that settles it. If a bunny has that potential I'm not getting one. I avoid owning dogs for the same vile behavior. Don't get me wrong I love animals but I draw my line in relaxing and/or eating their own waste.
its cuz rabbits are not like dogs or cats! Besides dogs and cats, most animals dotn have a specific potty routine! Most animals shit where they live and just walk over it and lay in it even! Its actually cats specifically in general who are the rule to the exeption! Cats are by nature very clean animals that NEVER shit or pee where they sleep! They do this automatically whereas dogs and other animals you have to train them to do it! And since dogs are pretty smart they can be potty trained eventhough they are not clean animals by nature but rabbits and most other animals will be much harder or impossible to potty train! Dogs and cats have been domesticated for centruries with the whole potty thing kind of being engraved in them as time goes on rabbits havent! Its like trying to potty train a cow or a sheep.
My bun isn't spayed or neutered but how i got him to be liter box trained is I figure since they use the bathroom on bedding at the petstore i figured he'd be use to it and so I put puppy pads in a liter box with bedding and liter on top. He's such a great bun and has not gone outside of it since I started using it. Its a great strategy if you have a bun who isn't quite grasping the whole liter box idea
My bunny keeps going to the same area where I have puppy pads set up. It’s literally right in front of my front door. He’s definitely not eating anything but he does keep going in the same area. So I’ll be setting up a litter box ASAP.
How do you deodorize territory? My bunny and I have been fighting a war in my room and I’m close to pleading for peace. I clean it up put it in the litter box and she goes right back to the same spot and pees on it
@@majaphelan4707 Thanks man. I'm still fighting the same war with my rabbit in a different apartment. We've tried moving the litter box to where she poops, but now she moves the litter box away and poops, or poops around the litter box. I even bought another litter box for the other side of the rooms and she poops in front of it too. -sigh-
@@ginasthrun7039 buns are such sassifrasses! 😂🤍 I got a baby bunny so I can’t neuter him yet. It’s not the droppings that bother me in the slightest…since I sweep the hay 24/7 anyway..it’s the P E E. We place his droppings and urine in the litter pan but all he does is eat the poop like Cocoa Puffs 😅 maybe place the hay in the Far side of the litter box/pan so the bunny has to crawl in it to eat? And maybe he’ll poop while he eats? I also heard if he/she has belongings that smell like him around, it might be less prone to poop everywhere (if it’s because it’s territorial). Might be worth a try to get a blanket to hold him it so it’ll smell like him and place it in his ‘accident’ corner(s). Good luck to us! 🍀
@@shatteredscry the hay trick works! Fresh hay the better apparently. And I guess over cleaning the litter box is bad?? So I leave half the dirty litter in there. awww I remember the days my bun was a baby bunny 🐰 A year later; we’re still working on the pooping everywhere thing. Apparently she wanted more attention through the day so we’ve been hanging out more. I bought a sacrificial carpet for her and put it around her litter box as a training spot so we’ve minimized the space she poops on… problem is when we expand territory and she’s like “oooh hallway” and drops markings all over 😂
I wanted my bunny TV freeway range bunny but my mom told me I had to litter train it before I could thanks for this video and it's actually working a lot he is slowly starting to use it
Super helpful video! We're in the process of potty training and she seems to get peeing in her box but for some reason she won't poop only in there. She will go all around it but only in the "potty room". We've tried to do the picking up and putting it in her box but she doesn't care lol Any tips? *Our Flemish is a year old
Tysmmm! my bunny is not really good at it but I’m gonna try to learn to pot train him🥰 he used to be in a small cage outside but now I’m taking him home and i’m gonna let him free room!! all because of you!!💗💗💗
I started watching your channel about 6 months ago when we got our gorgeous girl! It’s been such a wonderful resource for us so I just wanted to say thank you! In regard to the toilet training, I’m not sure what we are doing wrong..? We’ve tried following this method for months (our girl is spayed) but she still likes to pee everywhere. She is free roaming 2 rooms/had health check ups ect... so I’m really at a loss as to where the disconnect comes from? She is still under 1, dose age have an impact on litter training?
I don’t think even the actual experts of bunny’s know as much as you do like when I see something you hate I’m like YOU NEEDA WATCH LENNON AND LORELAIS CHANNEL.😭🤣

its cuz rabbits are not like dogs or cats! Its like trying to potty train a cow or a sheep.
all bunnies actually tend to eat their poop because it still has nutrients. similar to the regurgitation process that cows do.
Never thought I needed this until I saw this
My bunny poops everywhere! Like he'll be hoppin around and lil poops fall! I tried everything... What do I do??
CaptianAvva same
Are they spayed/neutered? That would help a lot. Oh u probably dont have this problem anymore tho its been 2 years 😂😂
KynleeFrenchfry lmao
KynleeFrenchFry🐶🐰 actually three years lmao
I love your videos and Lennon is too cute. It warms my heart to see bunnies treated so well. I have 3 of my own. That's a lot of poop😄
My bunny is trained to, but he always poops in his plate, no where else!
My parents just told me they are finally getting me a pair of bunnies!!!!,
So I am learning EVERY thing
Bunny poop is so cute 😀
Light Yagami 😶 Yep I've came to the wrong side of the UA-cam comments (ALREADY)
Light Yagami bunny poop cute so eat it ok lol
Okay then you can clean after my bunny
I might get a rabbit soon and this is so simple but so helpful, thank you!
IM 2 YEARS LATE 🧑✈️😭😭😭🥺
2!!!! I'M 7
Me to
I'm 7 YEARS LATE
7 years 💀🤌🏻
I'm 8 years late😂
When I got my rabbit she was already trained.
Lucky for me
😛
my bunny learned that in 1 day, lol he is smart
My bun isn't spayed or neutered but how i got him to be liter box trained is I figure since they use the bathroom on bedding at the petstore i figured he'd be use to it and so I put puppy pads in a liter box with bedding and liter on top. He's such a great bun and has not gone outside of it since I started using it. Its a great strategy if you have a bun who isn't quite grasping the whole liter box idea
My bunny doesn’t seem to get the memo 🙄😂
I have never subbed to a channel after watching only 1 vid lol this was very helpful
My bunny keeps going to the same area where I have puppy pads set up. It’s literally right in front of my front door. He’s definitely not eating anything but he does keep going in the same area. So I’ll be setting up a litter box ASAP.
Omg! thank you so much! this was so helpful! cause I really want to learn more before I get my Bunny and your channel really is awesome! thanks again!
My bunny always start digging whenever he needs to go and pee,Because if i’m walking outside with him he always dig his own pot🙂
this helps a lot im new to this bunny thing and you give such good details about all your bunny videos i will be usingyour hacks
How do you deodorize territory? My bunny and I have been fighting a war in my room and I’m close to pleading for peace. I clean it up put it in the litter box and she goes right back to the same spot and pees on it
Gin Asthrun hello there! Maybe you like my Rabbits 🐇 from London ua-cam.com/video/S7L_xSMoJ5c/v-deo.html
I never owned a bunny and you probably don’t have this problem but maybe you should put the litter there (if it’s in a good spot ofc)
I bought a sacrificial carpet for her and put it around her litter box as a training spot so we’ve minimized the space she poops on… problem is when we expand territory and she’s like “oooh hallway” and drops markings all over 😂
I wanted my bunny TV freeway range bunny but my mom told me I had to litter train it before I could thanks for this video and it's actually working a lot he is slowly starting to use it
1:03 I tryed that once but my bunny peed on me :(
Hahahahahahaha lol
It’s just Humphrey ! Oof
Part of the process🤣 my one bunny peed on me on day one. They learn and grow out of that lol

2:09 , love the shirt, so cute!
Super helpful video! We're in the process of potty training and she seems to get peeing in her box but for some reason she won't poop only in there. She will go all around it but only in the "potty room". We've tried to do the picking up and putting it in her box but she doesn't care lol Any tips?
*Our Flemish is a year old
Same having trouble
Tysmmm! my bunny is not really good at it but I’m gonna try to learn to pot train him🥰 he used to be in a small cage outside but now I’m taking him home and i’m gonna let him free room!! all because of you!!💗💗💗
I started watching your channel about 6 months ago when we got our gorgeous girl!
Age does have an impact, yes. I hope it settles out as time goes on, good luck!
I think it's cool how Bunnies choose their own spot and won't go anywhere except that spot
Then after that they can be a free roam bunny?
I love the thumbnail 😂😂😂
I've got my rabbit at home she's sooo cute and small, learned to go to the toilet, but I don't know why she has to pee on my bed 😒😪
She pees on your bed because it smells like you and she's trying to claim you as hers.
that was an awesome video because my rabbit is small but now i know alot about litter training so thank you very much!
This helped alot 💖❤
If you don't mind Can you do a video on What kinds of a rabbit's personality?
Thank you Lennon for the litter training video. ❤💜💛💙
How often should a litter box be cleaned out of curiosity? :o And what kind of litter do you think is best?
clean half every few days
Thank you so much Lorelie
Do you ever walk you bunny outside?
I don’t think even the actual experts of bunny’s know as much as you do like when I see something you hate I’m like YOU NEEDA WATCH LENNON AND LORELAIS CHANNEL.😭🤣
