Oh man, nice one Justin! Rad song, love hearing such awesome beats on such a simple kit, goes to show it’s not how many drums you have, it’s how you use them 😜 Love seeing all the park kiddos entranced by your grooves too haha
Great stuff, DS....but it's been a while since you dropped some Linux audio tuts. Those were very informative and helpful to me personally. More please!
Awesome! Is that cymbal arm on the Club Jam Mini drilled in place or is it removable? Just curious since I set up lefty and I would need to put it on the other side if I were to someday get one of these Tamas.
It is screwed in. But I bet you could custom order a lefty one from Tama. It might take them a year, but they'd probably do it. Or you could just move it yourself and plug the old holes.
@@outofround9373 Weird, I replied to this two more times, but it's not showing. I realized all you'd need to do is flip the spurs and heads around, no need to drill or unscrew anything!
Well yeah, but it would make it much more difficult to do. 1. I'd need a permit. Oddly you're allowed to play drums basically anywhere you want in NYC without a permit, but if you want to use a speaker then you need one. 2. Also, it'd be much harder to get a good drum recording with minimal mics the way I do now.

Can the folks watching hear the backtrack?
@@as48507 No, they could only hear the drums, haha.
Great playing! Looks like a fun little scene there with a beautiful day to do it. I bet you've inspired that young lady snare player. Well done!
Thank you!
Man you might just have a new subscriber I really enjoy watching how smooth your technique is and I look forward to learning more from you
Thank you!
Sweet!!!
Hydro sounds great. Cool tracks once again
Thank you!

AWESOME
🙌🏻
This is sick! Absolutely love the track as well as the drums. Did you write this?
Thank you 🙏 yep, it’s original.
That's a great idea and a lot of fun. Is the backing track one of your compositions?
Thank you, yep. Always originals ;)
Nice playing as always man. Question! How are you recording the audio from the kit? I don't see any mics or an EAD-10 hidden anywhere.
Thanks! The iPad on my right is recording one track and the stereo mic on the camera another. Mixed in Ableton.
@@demonicsweaters This sounded really good. Cool song too. Vibes man. Vibes.
@@totigerus thanks!

You should have 2 bass drums for the look.
haha, that would be more to carry though lol
What cymbals are you using?
In this vid, Paiste PST 7 14" Light Hats, Paiste 502 Plus 20" Ride.
Thank you! I love your videos with minimalist set ups.
I used them and some other inspiration to build a small suitcase kit.
@@brettgomberg3448 Nice, that's cool!
But the crowd hears no backing track? Thats kinda lame (for them)

Next time, get some audio of the surround area, from further away, and just cut to a shot of people on about their day than cut back to the track
