    Understanding that you do not pedal much, what's your physical range, i.e. how far or long can your body handle riding?

    • @ReVolt_e-Vlogs
      @ReVolt_e-Vlogs 2 місяці тому +1

      Well, I'm not the Oregon Bike Mark, but I use ebikes to travel full time, work minimal pedaling, with most 20ah batteries you'll get 25-35 miles, pedaling to help from every stop, & helping pedal up hills it increases my range 15%-20% from doing that alone, even at 180lbs, it takes a lit of energy to get an ebike, & pedaling to help the motor last longer & gain more miles, I'm all for it

      50 miles or maybe 60 what be great. Not always gonna ride that far but when you want to you can.

      The Graffiti or Graffiti X I wouldn't pedal so I don't know. It wouldn't be very fast.

    graffiti with suspension and same motor/battery is going to get less range because of energy sucked up by suspension flex and weight add...but they've probably used newer cells and motor so even if they're smaller and bigger it likely has same or better range than original.
    remember I called it - Lyric Graffiti's configuration, even at its premium retail cost, was going to outperform the rest of the same style and power bike easily. The Graffiti built such a great reputation (even at its premium retail cost for a single motor bike) that the Graffiti X has already burned through 3 manufacturing runs of pre-orders - this is literally the hottest "lower-mid tier cost" ebike since the Sur Ron first came out and nobody could keep them in stock.
    I wonder how other next gen "cafe/scrambler/moped" style producers are doing, in builds and demand? Every flaw named is a flaw in *every* bike of this style/type.
    A flaky temp sensor/firmware is often a problem in preproduction products, in any market/product. Could even be that the sensor didn't get heat sinked properly but it really depends on whether it's cutting out or actually *dying* when you're riding because the hardware is probably fine, mostly what changes is software/programming/firmware, I really doubt Lyric will risk its reputation credit it has built for itself by shipping thousands of units with an issue that would 100% be found in validation/qual testing. People will make mention in their videos which run it is; when the third run ships then we'll maybe be able to see all three runs demo'd and if any of them die. Lots of people riding ebikes/PEV in socal and it never really gets cold there, compared to here in Oregon. I am always more worried about cold weather performance than hot because my motors are tough but the battery is not insulated nor does it have a heater on any of my PEV.

      so you think its prob not best to ride on extreme winter weather conditions and keep bike protected in storage?

    • @oregonebikermark8953
      @oregonebikermark8953  2 місяці тому +2

      @@ltserge3226 I ride mine winter. Icy conditions and extreme cold are issues. In Oregon where I am it doesn't get that cold much.

    • @russellzauner
      @russellzauner 2 місяці тому +1

      @@ltserge3226 I copied this, actually I am a battery expert :-) (single batteries, I never worked on battery packs) One of the reasons they use tubes in transmitters in very cold areas and no solid state is solid state circuits stop working at something like 40F below...in Oregon, in areas most people live, we're lucky if we see temps below 28°F for any length of time. We get thick ice sometimes but it's like silver thaw type circumstances not ice blasting till its hanging sideways off the stop sign like the gorge or back east; as soon as the temp goes up a few degrees it vanishes. But people in SoCal are always in the fat part of the range except when it's too hot but like here the terrain there allows them to get altitude or down into shaded valleys to ride cooler, at least in part - people are getting range there that is better than most on the average, especially when their regen is working really well. I would like to do a Death Valley run some day just to see how they actually do.
      /pasted
      E-bike batteries perform best between 60 and 80°F (15.5-26.6°C). When temperatures drop below 40°F (4.4°C), battery performance can deteriorate. At 50°F, a fully charged battery can lose up to 20% of its efficiency. Older batteries are more susceptible to cold weather performance decline. It's not recommended to ride an e-bike in temperatures below 4°F (-16°C).
