The RIFT was excellent but too heavy @ 85 lbs. It did not sell well so they discontinued it. Ride1up will likely create a Rift v2 with improvements.

I predict 1UP will start offering more bike styles configured like the Prodigy. At a minor premium, of course, totally worth it - they know they've gotten better customer response and far less support calls on anything low maintenance and super robust - simple belt installation is a fast/cheap way to do that without really changing production flow (just a couple parts swap and less stuff to calibrate because no derailleur/cassette/etc). 🙂
(actually 1UP makes the most affordable mid drive with IGH and belt drive on the market right now, one whole kbuck less than Priority Cycles, who is also very affordable compared to others in their tier)
Having owned a decent scooter for a few weeks now it's safe to say that my recumbents (I have three, one is upgraded with mid drive) are probably the only bikes/ebikes I'll buy again when they finally break or no longer meet my needs. If I want a throttle, scooter 100% and hopefully soon I'll have the latest mountainboard to lean to ride.
I got a GoTrax GX3 on promo for 1699 - got in before they raised the price and an extra 100 bucks off from random associate clickthrough on a video lol, unexpected but even at 1799 or 1999 (usually price now) it's way worth it.
If I can get the cash together I'm pretty decided on the Acedeck Nyx Z3 (long range) which should be as amazing and plush a ride as the GX3 is. It's a few hundred bucks more but huge battery size + lighter weight = probably twice the range I'm getting out of the GX3 (range being the only advantage regular ebikes have for now, but I'm adding a second battery to the scooter soon to increase the range 5lbs = 20 extra miles, worth it).
I'm building the road trike for speed...and pavement. It's the intended tow rig and I'll pile everything else in the trailer. I might have to start saving up for a velo shell at some point...

@@oregonebikermark8953 if you want to get a bike that comes with from the factory mid drive, belt, and in-gear hub already installed and under *their* warranty, the only options starting below 13k USD are Ride1UP and Priority, and they're both under 4k USD.

We have the cafe cruiser, peak wattage is 1140 watts. You need to go into the advanced menu and program PAS5=100% to get 1140+ watts peak power. The bike comes shipped set at 80%. Go ahead and unlock the power!!!!

The power is unlocked. I have a video showing how to unlock the bike.

Its a 15 amp hour batter, not 14 as the video states. 15 AH = 720 watt hours. Range is 18 miles on PAS5 when PAS5=100% power (1140+ watts peak), so not very good range. On PAS3, you can get over 25 miles, no prob. I set PAS1=15%, PAS2=30%, PAS3=45%, PAS4=60%, PAS5=99%
