Or taming it for Bo-Katan? Maybe Grogu and Din Djarin help re-establish Mandlore with Bo-Katan as leader? Riding and taming a Mythosaur would be more redeaming as a leader than carrying the Dark Saber? Maybe Din ends up weilding the Dark Saber and controlling it? Maybe they help reunite the tribes? And make peace between Jedi and Mandalorians?

the lore of Mandalorians being united by taming and riding the mythosaur kind of reminds me of the Sandworms in Dune and their significance to the Fremen. Since Star Wars is at least partly inspired by Dune I think that's another cool connection.
Honestly, I think it’s a pleasant surprise that The Mandalorian has shown us that the Krayt Dragon resides in sand and that the Mythosaur potentially resides in water. I assumed both were above ground, then went extinct. Now that’s a proper way to subvert expectations in my books.
Could the Mythosaur have sensed the Darksaber?and did he [the Mythosaur] pull Din to bottom ( even in armor, he fell to the bottom a lot faster than he should have). And is the Mythosaur choosing Din or Bo-Katan (or, "yes!"). Babylon 5 had the One that was[Bo-Katan], the One that IS [Din], the One That Will Be [Grogu].
I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking Grogu is going to tame the Mythosaur, the first Mandalore probably used the force to communicate with one since he was also a Jedi
The bombs may have broken the floor of the baptism chamber, opening up the mythosaur cavern beneath. I doubt any baptisms of heavily armored people would function well if there was an underwater cliff they kept falling down. Din Djarin probably wasn't even dragged under, he just fell with his armors density and didn't have his jetpack
I like the idea of the bombing and reset of the planet to awake the mythosaur. It makes sense too that even for thousands of years it could survive since the Zillo beasts have also done it for thousands of years underneath malastare (and Geonosis? I think?). Stoked to see where they take it!
If you look at the stairs as they go into the waters you can see that it’s broken off as though the deeper waters were sealed off at some point possibly keeping the last mythosaur hidden. Maybe the area where the ritual took place was built with a floor on top of all that rock it was under where they nested.
I wonder if the thing that almost killed mando was working for the mythasour feeding it with a hatch in the back of the water and he got the left overs like the snake that was working for darts mall in the clone wars.

Mandalorians tamed Mythosaurs without the force before and will need to do so again to be recognized. Mandalorians traditionally do not get along with force users.
I believe that mando will tame the mythosaur, or grogu will tame it for mando, and in doing so he will unite they mandalorian people and lead them back to prosperity.

Didn’t I hear that Boba rode a Mythosaur in the Holiday Special or something? He makes a comment about the rancor that he’s ridden bigger. And he has a Mythosaur on his armor.
That was a call back to the holiday special itself. It was one of those little “hey only someone who knows about it will get the reference”. He wasn’t saying he rode a mythosaur, he was actually referencing the holiday special so “true fans” would get a chuckle. Just like how his knee rocket was from the toy and never used in the films. The toy being a one of a kind never in production model that had rockets on his knees.
I was thinking the green glass that covers the surface of Mandalore is bases on Trinitite, the real-world green glass created at ground zero of the Trinity nuclear test site.
S3 E2 ends the way S3 E1 begins. A rite interrupted by a beast. Mando will tame the Mythosaur and finish his passage into the living waters later in the season. I'm guessing we will also see the mando-kid again finishing his ceremony. It's all about restoring the Way of the Mandolorians, not the way of house Visla or the Watch. The true Way.

I feel like the Mandalorian people are going to come to realize that the symbols themselves and what they stand for or more important than the rules around those symbols like how the darksaber represents the unity of their people and doesn't necessarily need to be wielded by a single individual. I still expect at some point the darksaber to be tossed around between mandalorians during a battle sharing the burden

And every time I see Kuiil in any video it upsets me they killed him off like they did. He was one of my favorite characters from season one. Shame he died But hey, the Zillo beast and mythosaur were thought to be extinct and both were still Alive. And the Zillo neast was cloned and good ole paps was brought bk also. So hey maybe Kuiil can come back from his rock grave with how they do stuff today.

Since Mandalore the Great was both a Mandalorian and a Jedi, I think it is possible that Grogu will be the next leader of Mandalore.
Tarre Vizla was the one who was both mandalorian and Jedi not mandalore the great.
