The world needs so much more of people like you. Hoarding is a fascinating disorder. While I can't relate, I always think of it as people's sorrow and depression spilling out and manifesting on the outside. The loneliness that they must feel having to keep their living condition a secret from friends and family must be unreal. Thank you for being a compassionate person and doing what you do. This middle-of-the-week video was great!
I grew up in a hoarding house so I try to have compassion for people but when children are involved it really triggers me, and I know that’s my own problem and these people have mental disorders, but I really struggle being empathetic sometimes in those specific situations. Usually I’m a pretty empathetic person.
@@thicccemogf3488 The ones where they involve children are difficult to wrap one’s head around for sure. I also find it tough to empathize with the pet hoarders. Children and pets don’t have a choice and are forced to deal with horrendous conditions. Not easy to empathize with those situations.
@@SilverSkateBetty agreed. Pets are part of my parents hoarding problem too, and I have five brothers who all had to live in the same conditions. My parents would constantly get dogs as puppies, love on them and then as soon as they got old enough for their puppy behavior to not be cute anymore they would just lock them in a cage 24/7 except to go out and to eat. Instead of doing any sort of potty training, exercising them, or any obedience training, they would just call them bad dogs and stick them in cages until they finally got fed up enough to get rid of them. And forget finding a home for them or taking them to a rescue or the pound, they would load up their children in the car and take us to the middle of nowhere, or sometimes my mom would target rich neighborhoods hoping a rich person would take them in, and just abandon them there. And they would go a few months to a few years without any animals and the cycle would start over again. Like they might be successful with an older dog that’s laid back and has been trained, it could work for them. But even then I find it hard to believe it would work out long term for the dog to live a happy life until they died. They only ever kept 3 dogs for the dogs whole life span, two of which were the first two dogs they had as a couple who were old by the time they starting having kids, and another little chihuahua named Tico for 15 years. But Tico was pretty neglected and never got vet care and when I went with my mom to put him down you could tell the vet was judging her for how neglected he was. They never got vet care for any of the animals because even though my mom had a 6 figure a year job they were horrible with money and lived paycheck to paycheck. I had to let my cat stay with my parents for 5 months once while I went to rehab and when I finally moved back home that weekend I was moving everything I called to tell her I was coming to get him and she said he was out in the neighborhood somewhere (he was never an outdoor cat before then) and so I went around looking for him and I finally found him and he had a giant wound on his neck from my mom putting a flea collar on him and neglecting to notice it was causing an allergic reaction. They had just let him outside so much they never saw him and the wound just festered. Plus he doesn’t get along with other cats and she always has 3-4 so I’m sure that’s part of why he always wanted out of the house. So I had to find $300 fresh out of rehab with no job to get my cat treated. But anyways they always wanted the cute puppies and puppies and 1-2 year old dogs are fucking insane. Of course they’re gonna piss and shit everywhere if you don’t let them out regularly or teach them how to tell you when they need to go. Of course they’re gonna destroy your house if you’re ignoring them and they’re bored out of their minds. The two current ones they have are kept in their cage about 22-23 hours a day. Two of my brothers learned contracting work and they re-did my parents first floor for them, but the basement and the upstairs still need done. Like they keep those floors clean now but they’re all fucked up from years of neglect. Anyway the first floor is livable now and my mom will let them out if my dad isn’t around and they’ll lay down with her after they go potty and eat. But my dad HATES them on the couch and they haven’t done anything to train them to stay off the couch so ofc they constantly jump on the couch and my dad will get pissed within minutes of telling them multiple times to get off the couch and puts them back in the cage. And every time they’re let out of the cage they freak out and are full of energy and jump around and bark and constantly want everyone’s attention because it’s so goddamn exciting to them to not be in that cage. My mom was telling me tonight she just wants to put blankets down on the couch so they can be up there with them without getting the couch hairy and she can just wash the blankets, but he doesn’t want that. I told her to do it anyway because he doesn’t get to be the only one making the decisions about them when he was the one that wanted them too. Plus I told her the more she lets them out the less exciting it will get for them and the faster they will calm down and go lay down somewhere or go play together somewhere. Or if you put blankets on the couch they’ll come cuddle with you. But my dad refuses to let her. So I told her she should probably just get rid of them because that’s no life for an animal, and she refuses to stand up to my dad about it, and she agreed and said she’s been thinking about it. And I said ‘okay and in 6 months to a year when you’re depressed again instead of buying another dog you won’t take care of we can go cuddle some puppies at a pet store or something and you should never get another one’ And she said no I don’t want any more dogs after this. I don’t think either her or my dad realize that they are the problem and not the dogs when it comes to how many they’ve given up or just straight up abandoned. It’s heart breaking to watch.
@@thicccemogf3488 That is heartwrenching to hear. Not just for the pets but for you and your brothers that had to be subjected to watching the pets be treated that way and becoming attached to them to just see them get abandoned and lost. I'm wondering, did growing up this way affect you or any of your brothers by exhibiting the same behaviors as your parents? Do any of you have hoarding tendencies or was it kind of like "when I get out of here I'll never live like this" kind of thing? I really do hope that you and your brothers are now living lives that are fulfilling and happy. ♥
I know when my dad died I went into a slump. Mom had been gone for 6 years and I lived to take care of him. All I could do was sit, it lasted for months. One day it felt as if loving hands were placed on my shoulders and said your good now and you'll be fine. Slowly I trudged back and worked room to room. I took pride in the difference in before and after trying to turn memories from tears to smiles. It can happen, I gave up not knowing it could happen and had. Life can play tricks, you can trick yourself back to life.
Relatable. April 6th, it will be five years since my husband died after a short and brutal battle with cancer. I’m naturally an organized clean-freak, but, since his death, there are a couple areas in my home that I can’t get to without feeling overwhelmed with grief-so I’ve avoided them for years..
@@MyBeautifulHealth darling, call that his spirit is with you, say out loud: You want to help I'd be happy for you to join me but we need to get busy. I handled talking thinking spirit was with me and allowed it to help me.

You are so correct about trauma causing hoarding. My exhusband left me for another woman after 25 years of marriage. I began spending money like crazy trying to replace the world of security I thought I had. Thankfully, I didn’t become a hoarder and realized what and why I was doing. You are a beautiful human!
You are a good man. I love your cleaning channel the best because of your amazing voice-over commentary, and the respect you have for the folks you are helping.
You are one of the most "real" people I've run into on the internet, and I love what you say, where you're coming from, in regards to the mental spaces these poor folks are stuck in. I think what you do for them helps-- well, I know it does!-- if even just briefly. And your sense of humor and your work ethic are top notch. Be proud of Jason, but never stop having fun with him. You've done good with him, Dad. Now, go suck it. :P
I have complex PTSD, and panic disorder, OCD, along with a bunch more disorders. Sometimes it's hard for people to understand that mental illness isn't just a mind over matter thing. Hello from Minnesota!!!
I don't think anyone has ever described hoarding more precisely and succinctly. Excellent. I am an introvert so the friends I make are the ones I've had for 40 years. And the only family I had was my mother. My mother and a lot of my friends all died within 5 years of each other. (friends died of suicide, rare disease, addiction and cancer - and all young). Also my dogs of 20 and 15 also died. Prior to those deaths I cleaned all the time and the house was always cleaned - I hated clutter. After the last death of my best friend by suicide, (and the onset of painful auto-inflammatory disease) it drove me into not cleaning. Suddenly I needed clutter around me - as if to fill the void of the people I've lost. I'm struggling with hoarding (not too bad) and am slowly finding my way out. I'm a happy person and am grateful for everything so I'm lucky that I no longer suffer from depression. I never fully realized how loss can affect you in such a way. These videos help motivate me and help recognize my issue - its also great for cleaning product ideas. So nice of you to help people and offer your services for free to some folks who need it. Prayers to those who struggle with this ailment and loss. Its real!
No one enjoys living in filth. Absolutely no one. If they appear to not be bothered by it it's because they're trying to convince themselves it's fine, because that's the only way they can cope with the reality they live in. But it's not fine and they're not fine and the worst thing anyone can do is be judgemental and try to shame them into cleaning. It's the same as trying to shame people into losing weight, it has the opposite effect. The only thing that can help is real empathy and compassion. So it's wonderful to find such a gem of a person doing these cleanings for free for those in need and not judging or shaming them for it. 💖💝
When you said Living with Cambria, I just swooned. She is an amazing mom and I love her voiceovers. I love watching cleaning videos. Its soothing. Thanks for the update on questions you get asked often. Plus, your humor is unmatched. "What state do you live in?" Denial I laughed and chuckled. I needed that laugh this morning. Thank you again and have a pleasant day.
Your compassion is amazing and inspiring. Sad that its so rare in today's world. Your videos are helping me heal and make a dent in mine. "Hoarding as a response to trauma" understanding was the springboard I needed. I actually FINISHED one room already! Everything was from 2016-2017, it was like my life just stopped.... The contrast with how organized and productive I was prior to that is a jolt. I was/am competent! Healing from trauma is like healing from a bad car wreck, it takes time and some reconstructive SoulSurgery (a term I coined). Thank you for all you do!
I particularly liked your insight and compassion and non-judgemental attitude towards the people you help. You’re right it is a mental issue and not just laziness that brought them where they are. It made me realize my issues started when I lost my dad several years ago. You’re a good guy to help them out. 🙂
Your explanation on how people become hoarders is what I already suspected to be the case.Grief can be manifested in ways that only those who have experienced it would comprehend. Your kindness and understanding is overwhelming.
you are a shining example of the level of compassion I wish I saw in others all the time, plus a great sense of humor as always. Side note, I LOVE that vivarium tank, it's gorgeous!

I think it's really important to consider how hard it is for some people to clean. I know some people consider these people lazy, but there are cases in which they need community help because of their extra challenges.
I think it's good that you escort people to the door if they only hate the people you help. empathy is felt less and less. why can't we just be happy that a poor soul has been helped? sometimes these people just need a fresh start to get their life back under control. stay as you are. you are definitely doing the right thing
The people who ask these same questions in the comment section "What if they don't keep it clean" do not understand the concept of "altruistic help / love", that is being given from the goodness of one's heart without any expectations. And that is scary. I just want to ask them: "What if no one helps them because of a rotten attitude like yours?"
I love your sense of humor. You also show so much empathy towards your “clients”. It is very hard to live with a mental illness, people don’t need judgement on top of their problems. Keep up the good work!
Auri, cambriea, and Barbie are my favorite too besides you. The rest seem to clean already clean spaces. There is also a couple of landscapers who have channels who go around and help people in need of landscaping who are elderly or sick/unable to clean up and mow their yard. Those are oddly satisfying to watch too.
The Boring Channel is my fave of those landscaping ones! He is funny, does great work, no music, and helps so many folks who don’t even know who did the job for them! They have been doing graveyards that are not taken care of also. And he said the exact same thing about sponsors! Freedom from corporate rule is the best part of working for yourself!

I absolutely share your sentiments and empathy. 😊My daughter is a hoarder, my Uncle is a hoarder, and my grandmother was as well. I, too, had done my research on this condition which must be worked with delicately. On another note, I'd swear you were a Virgo, haha!! They tend to be meticulous, organized, prone to good hygiene, and love to be of service. 😺I very much appreciate your ethics, cleaning skills, and your honest commentary. Hilarious!!
"...if you cannot have empathy for all these folks go through? I'd say that's more of a YOU problem" -- love how you are the anti-bully that is so clearly missing from so many other channels.
Congratulations! Love watching your show, hearing your comments and funny jokes. My sister is Bipolar and with that she is part hoarder, part messy and finds it difficult to keep a tidy house. After a while it gets really stressful and upsetting for her and we as a family have to clean, organise and declutter her home so she can be happy and cope a little easier. We wait and repeat yearly with no bad feelings towards her. We love her, and will always help.
I own a steam cleaner, but I never use it. I love that it minimizes the amount of scrubbing and it leaves no residue while sanitizing. But I don't have the patience to fill it up, wait for 20 minutes for it to heat up, and roll the heavy machine around the house and into tight spaces (which are usually the types of spaces that are best cleaned by steam.) And heaven forbid you run out of steam and have to refill and wait again. It's easier to just soak the surface in cleaning solution, grab a brush, scrub it clean, wipe, and be done with it.
Talking about soothing and calming voices: yours is exactly that - I keep thinking you‘d make a great narrator for audio books! ✨ Keep up the good work and kudos to you!
Post 10 has been on my watch list for the last couple years. You called out some of my favorites! It takes so much courage just to let someone into your home, much less lethem see how you live.
Love how compassionate you are. I dealt with severe postpartum depression. My house is wrecked. I have been working to get it cleaned back up. I’ve always loved cleaning but even tho I love cleaning it has been overwhelming. I used to go help other ppl clean. But my energy is zapped now just dealing with our own mess. It is nice to see someone be so respectful about other people’s situations. I also have autism and have kids with autism. I love that you turned something you enjoy into a business. Great work!
I really enjoy your videos, they keep me motivated in keeping things tidy. What i also love is that you don't put music on your recent videos and we can hear the ambiant noises as you clean, it's relaxing and it feels more genuine. Keep up with the great work and thank you for helping all these people!

"It's all me." You got that right! You are a wonderful human being, and we need more people like you. Congratulations on your first one million views video! You have more than earned it. P.S. I love how you are able to make clear distinctions between who owns what problems. These days, taking personal responsibility is no longer seen as a virtue. Unfortunately, that moral clarity somehow got lost along the way, and we are not better off for it.
You are awesome. I am also on the autism spectrum and I enjoy sorting and organizing. I have an adult son who is married to a hoarder, so I have been helping them with their house for years. At first I didn't appreciate that it was a mental disorder and I regret to say that I got judgmental. But we worked it out and now they seem genuinely appreciative when I visit. I do have to clear out some spaces for me to sit, or for my grandchildren to play in, but I've learned to ask questions in order to gauge the level of attachment to things, and at the same time I do push them a bit outside their comfort zone. Its such a tricky thing. Recently my DIL started taking an antidepressant med and she says its been a lot easier for her to give things away, but it hasn't been a magic solution whatsoever.
I appreciate you talking about hoarding. My best friend's mom died when they were 15 and their dad completely went off the deep end and their home became a terrible hoarder home. It was very difficult for my friend to get out of that mindset but they've made so much progress as an adult. ❤ it's really mentally taxing. We used to clean their house when we were kids.
You are a rockstar! Your narration, besides being funny, is so clear and concise. I thought I was weird because I hated my spin mop! Mine scrapes the floor while the mop is all balled up from all the water that is left after spinning. I don't understand how people get it all spread out so pretty. Do you do all the cleaning at your home? Thank you for answering all those questions and letting us learn more about you!
You have empathy for others and that is a rare trait these days. Understanding and not condemning helps folks more that berating them. I admire you and absolutely love the exchanges between you and your son. Thanks for all you do.
I'm a new subscriber, and I am also a housekeeper. I clean vacation rental homes. I totally get where you are coming from. This is the supplement to my husband's income. I enjoy cleaning. What ticks me off is when you go in behind guests who think they can trash the home just because they are renting it and paying a cleaning fee. These people are so disrespectful. What you do for the folks with genuine problems is a true blessing. I enjoy your silliness with your son and daughter. It is so nice to see a small family business. Thank you for all you do for these people who truly need the help.

I know exactly how you feel. In April 2021 I lost my oldest sister. It's taking me this long to come out of it.

@@Dana-fn5zt Same here with my dad passing from cancer... But we must stay strong. 🤗
Relatable. April 6th, it will be five years since my husband died after a short and brutal battle with cancer.
I’m naturally an organized clean-freak, but, since his death, there are a couple areas in my home that I can’t get to without feeling overwhelmed with grief-so I’ve avoided them for years..
@@MyBeautifulHealth
darling, call that his spirit is with you, say out loud:
You want to help I'd be happy for you to join me but we need to get busy.
I handled talking thinking spirit was with me and allowed it to help me.
Something in your story resonates with me also. Over time the sadness wanes and things that seem so difficult suddenly become easy again without you even noticing. If we’re lucky. Thanks for sharing. 💚💛💜
You are so correct about trauma causing hoarding. My exhusband left me for another woman after 25 years of marriage. I began spending money like crazy trying to replace the world of security I thought I had. Thankfully, I didn’t become a hoarder and realized what and why I was doing. You are a beautiful human!
You & Aurikatariina are absolutely wonderful people for what you do for these people. Your personalities, empathy and content are great. Thank you
I second this! The two of you are so kind and truly understand that people are MUCH MORE than the mess you see! ❤
Those plants and terrariums are beautiful!💜💜💜💜💚 this person likes plants! Me too
It is his house.😊
You are a good man. I love your cleaning channel the best because of your amazing voice-over commentary, and the respect you have for the folks you are helping.
I’m glad you ban/block trolls. They have no clue what someone is going through! I love what you do! 100k is just around the corner!
Its real!
My heart goes out to you! May the LORD bless you and bring His joy into your life!
"What state do you live in?"
Denial
I laughed and chuckled. I needed that laugh this morning. Thank you again and have a pleasant day.
I just started watching Emily Norris-she is English and quite similar to Cambria. She is starting a series of helping overwhelmed folks also!❤
Cambriea is awesome! I love her videos ❤️
Tjek out auri catarina, she is also amazing
You are a phenomenal human being!
You explain hoarding disorder & depression very well. Thank you for your empathy and for helping others. May your kindness come back to you tenfold. 💚
Loving the humility. 😂
I agree, Clean with Barbie, very real, very good
For he’s a jolly good fellow, that nobody can deny !! 😝 !Remember that 🎶 song??
you are a shining example of the level of compassion I wish I saw in others all the time, plus a great sense of humor as always. Side note, I LOVE that vivarium tank, it's gorgeous!
I was just about to comment on that beautiful tank! And the black and white Christmas tree is rockin’.
you are my antidepressant. you're so inspirational, seriously I'm having a bad time just now, hubby lost both his legs, has cancer and lots more. i'm struggling to get out of bed, house is getting messy, I'm pissing myself of .so ty Sir x
And if you miss one, I think they will be thoroughly booed out of the room!
The people who ask these same questions in the comment section "What if they don't keep it clean" do not understand the concept of "altruistic help / love", that is being given from the goodness of one's heart without any expectations. And that is scary.
I just want to ask them:
"What if no one helps them because of a rotten attitude like yours?"
The house you’re cleaning has so much personality! I love it.
I love your sense of humor. You also show so much empathy towards your “clients”. It is very hard to live with a mental illness, people don’t need judgement on top of their problems. Keep up the good work!
You are truly a character. And we love you
I find your voice very soothing. You could read a whole book and It would be a pleasure for me to listen to you. Also love your great sense of humor

You are one of my blessings. You give me real tips and motivation.🥰
Hilarious!!
Love the chat, and great cleaning tips.its great to see your pets on the videos. 😊
Appreciate your explanation of "how can people living this way?" Nearly always deep emotional trauma.
"...if you cannot have empathy for all these folks go through? I'd say that's more of a YOU problem" -- love how you are the anti-bully that is so clearly missing from so many other channels.
👍👍👍👍👍 "It's all me." 😂😂😂😂😂 You bet it is. Right on.
Your patience and professionalism is a virtue, friend. God bless you😇
I own a steam cleaner, but I never use it.
Exacty....True on everything.
Talking about soothing and calming voices: yours is exactly that - I keep thinking you‘d make a great narrator for audio books! ✨
Keep up the good work and kudos to you!
You are the real deal. So nice, all that you do. Kind spirit.
Wow! Great Job! Great Guy! ♥️♥️♥️ Thank You! We need a world of people like you 😇
Love those cats and dog! It's really amazing how you help these clients 😍
The shot of the ginger cat in the sun was great-and the dog saying, ‘now you are my buddy, but this is my food!’ 😂
Post 10 has been on my watch list for the last couple years. You called out some of my favorites! It takes so much courage just to let someone into your home, much less lethem see how you live.
Lol. I like your sense of humor
Your cleaning videos are not only a joy to watch, but you're also such a joy to listen! So wise.
Excellent explanation for hoarding. Thank you for all you do for others❤️
Great work!
You are definitely changing the world one person at a time, if we all had your heart, it would be a better world for all of us.
I really enjoy your videos, they keep me motivated in keeping things tidy. What i also love is that you don't put music on your recent videos and we can hear the ambiant noises as you clean, it's relaxing and it feels more genuine. Keep up with the great work and thank you for helping all these people!
Whenever I need some motivation to get up and clean I watch your videos. I especially like your voice over videos, your wit and humor are enjoyable to clean to.
Ah man, that Faith No More album cover art got me listening to them again. Awesome band!
Love what you do here on this channel. So happy there are folks out there like you who are able to help those in need without judgement, that's the last thing anyone in that position needs. Thank you!
Edited to say your animals are adorable 💕
Epic is my favorite song of theirs
I just asked him where that picture came from. It's my son's favorite band of all time! He has a UA-cam channel too . He interviews metal bands and goes on adventures. The Most Epic Adventures/ Robb Zipp
Oh wow! God bless you! Oh my goodness!🤗🫢🥲❤
Thanks for being a motivator for self and emvironmental improvements. Be Well, Stand Strong, And Stay Blessed Y''All...
The world needs more people like you! ❤
You are the sweetest thing ever.
I love Post10!! His channel was one of my first pandemic quarantine rabbit holes.
Thank you cleaning these homes for free. God bless you and your journey.
You got me LOL in these first seconds. Thnx ❤ I love it you dont judge and doing all this work you're own way.
Now I know why your channel has been so attractive to me!! You are kind, understanding and nonjudgemental which is how we all need to be! Your respectful explanation of these homes and owners is when I knew why I'm so drawn...you have integrity and so kind!! Thank you!!
God bless you and your family for what you do for people who are in need. Thanks for sharing your understanding and wisdom.
You have such a great Heart. These people are lucky to have you be there to help them.
To watch you work your cleaning techniques are excellent and detail orinanted to detail👍
there is hope for humanity yet as long as there are people like you around. Great vid.
Love your content. Funny, I think you have a very soothing voice as well. I also like your humor. Keep them coming.....I'm always waiting for your vlogs to arrive.
Your narrating is amazing! You too, have one of those voices that I enjoy listening to. Then you add the knowledge that you have with the sense of humor, priceless!! You're still an angel for helping all of these people in need. Keep up your awesome videos!
You are amazing. The world needs more of you.
The humility oozing out of you is outstanding! I wish to one day be as humble as you are.
I am glad that you turn down sponsorships for total freedom of expression. i love your jokes and wit. Love to watch the cleaning also. I always leave comments because I know that helps promote videos. And always thumbs up! Love the Q&A video. Also, your voice is also soothing and calming.
Thank you so much for the work you do, and your presence and humor. I really appreciate you, and the help you bring to the world.

Love your channel. Total respect for you for what you do. I couldn’t do that. Sometimes even in my own house. Basics get done though…bathrooms and kitchen.
You have so much compassion. Thank you for serving those that need it.
Thank you. I wishbyou lived in my area. I know my issues are trauma related and i am working on them. You will be blessed.

Exactly depression is a vicious cycle i love the way you break it down and make it possible and not so overwhelming
You crack me up man….just adore your funny-ness
I love how you are understanding that depression and hording are mental health issues that cause people to be unable to clean, and not just think they are lazy!
All I can say is Bless
your heart! We need more people like YOU!! You have a GREAT Spirit!
My husband and I have owner operated a window cleaning company for about 10 years. We usually only clean our (cotton) surgical rags with hot water and a little bleach, no soap. There is already dawn dish soap in the rags from the cleaning process. If you squeegee off the surface during your final pass, you won't need to go back and polish with microfiber afterwards.
