Helping a Struggling Family w/ Packing and Cleaning - Collab with Midwest Magic Cleaning

- Last month I traveled to Illinois to support Mack from Midwest Magic Cleaning as he was struggling through autistic burnout. He and I both have similar autistic traits and, even in the midst of burnout, it's hard not to stay busy. Though the home we are working on together in this video isn't the typical kind we usually do and wasn't hoarded or really that dirty, it was necessary to do something a little easier as Mack is still struggling from burnout and I don't feel like I have ever fully recovered from mine, but it did help to be with someone else who understands it and this home was perfect for just keeping our minds busy doing something we love, plus it just feels good to help someone else who is struggling.

I agree with you there. Imagine the parents being able to walk in there, hopefully with someone helping them to lift and remove those tubs and bags. You've just made an extremely stressful time of their lives just that much easier, Bonnie. You and Mack do work so well as a team, and I understand how difficult it is for you to travel. Much love. Yeah, same for me! Though I actually struggle with bright lights when I'm not doing anything, and ever since I got a nice pair or sunglasses I'm like omg, how did I survive all these years in bright sunlight without one 😅 (I'm autistic too btw)
Dim lights for movie watching, of course. Bright for crafting because I am sadly middle-aged.
This ! Bright big light for cleaning, focus stuff, and checking the actual colours of fabrics. Dim lights are for the mood and my night owl life

as someone with severe arachnophobia, I felt so uneasy when you couldn't see the spider anymore. I felt that knee-jerk reaction in my soul. But the fact that you hoped the spidey would have low rent on his little creepy spider-home made me smile.
I'm a school custodian so I love getting to scrape and chisel at various stuff with my assortment of razor blades and attachments! It's so satisfying to make tape and paint and stickers etc disappear! I loved your inclusion of Mack's terminology, especially as regarding the wolves and mooses. Meeses? Whatever their plurality is, they are a menace! You might snag ahold of a cheap screwdriver handled scraper from Harbor Freight, which is good at giving leverage in tight spaces. I sometimes use it to assist in using a scrubber pad.

I hope when we do our big collab that includes you, we can do it here in Utah because I can come pick you up from the airport since it's only about an hour away and you don't need the extra hassle of getting a rental car and all that.

I don’t like traveling either! It’s exhausting! I did it when I was younger and it was tiring then too. I need my things and routines that are at home and having to be “on” and social day after day is too much for me.

Thank you and Mack for the Care and Love you give to these families and homes. That was so kind to have so much done for the elderly parents, really took a huge part of the burden off of them. This family and Cami are in my thoughts and prayers.

My dad always tried to encourage me when I would go through some rough times. I would feel extremely overwhelmed, like I was not good enough, and at a point where I just wanted to give up. He would tell me that, “We can only do what we can do with the time and resources we have or are given at the time we are doing it.” It seems like such a simple statement, but it is complex at the same time. It tells me that, 1) I am good enough, 2) I am doing something that has made a difference that wouldn’t have been made otherwise, and 3) I am only human.
What you, Mack, Barbie, and Aurikatarina do DOES make a huge impact on so many lives; not only those of whom you are helping. How many comments have you all gotten that tell you that your videos have given someone the inspiration to get up and clean something? All it takes is one voice to be heard in the darkness and all of you guys together makes a roar in the crowd. Rest and recharge when you need to. Take care of yourselves when needed. We will be here for support when you need and unfortunately that also comes with the whining bridge trolls who think their misery should saturate the air waves. There are more of us who love you and can drown out their ugly. Many prayers and much love.
Awesome collab! I'm glad all of the wolves were relocated before the clean. They really don't like the smell of chemicals. Nice jab on the table moose though! I'm sure it learned it's lesson being all on the table like that!

Love seeing two of my favorite people working together! Thank you for helping these people. I've had to pack up a house for a family member struggling with addiction, twice. It's a difficult job. I know the elderly parents are so grateful for everything you've done to make things easier on them. I don't know what they would've done without your help. It's a difficult job, and even more difficult when it's your loved one. You have given them a huge gift in their time of need. Bonnie, when you tripped, I was concerned for a moment but, then taken over by laughter when hearing you say you're ok, and hearing Macks response. lol You guys are so funny together. I'm glad you were able to come and help him, andI know it was great for him, dealing with his autism burnout. My 21 yr old son is autistic, and also has adhd, tourettes and bi polar, so I know how the struggles can be. I wish you were able to team up again with Mack and Barbie but, I get the not wanting to travel. The older I get, the more I am that way too. I've never enjoyed flying and haven't flown in years. I don't think I could handle airports these days. Really enjoyed this video! Can't wait for next weeks video. :)

I love dim lighting and hate overhead lights. lol I DO love daylight streaming in through the windows though. But when it's dark, yep. Lamps and all with dimmers. Ahahah!

Team dim bulb here. I'll get the dimmest bulbs I can and then hang scarves over the lampshades. I am so sensitive to light.
I love dim lights and absolutely hate the LED and curly lightbulbs. But if I'm trying to read, do a puzzle or cook, I do like to have all the lights on.
