I came across these videos years ago. Selling the house. Moving to Texas. Sleeping in their car, while they made the barn “livable”.. The first pregnancy, with Bo. Sleeping in the box trailer. Moving in the containers, and setting them up. All the hard work they did to make it a home. The pregnancy with “Spencer Jr.”. The pregnancy with “Miss Kenzie” while building the cabin. I look forward for their videos. I love this family. They came along right after I lost my youngest son. There something about Spencer and McKenzie that was just soothing and it distracted me from my grief. I am so grateful I came across their videos. I have never missed an episode.
I was going to suggest the same thing. Just like the do on schoolies to get to storage, water tanks, and / or battery banks. I would definitely make a solid mattress base on air struts/shocks!
I am a grandma from Texas, and I love this family!!! And also the fact that they do not flood us with commercials. As it is , we have more than enought with this platform. Love you guys!!! great job!
WHOA LOOK AT THOSE EYES!!!!! Such beautiful babies. What would all of us do without our little family to enjoy? You to give us all something to treasure. God bless you🙏❤️
Spencer what if you made a lift so mattress could rise and access back part. Either on an angle or straight up like remember Hogan's Heroes still on as reruns...well recall how mattress would rise up to expose stairway beneath? Instead you and Mackenzie would have storage.
What a great job on all the beds, Guys!! Oh boy, it's gonna be a special occasion when you get the cabin up to the mountain property. Remember, nothings easy!!
The bed frame with the drawers looks great. Scout is a beautiful baby that is growing fast. Mackenzie is looking great as always. you are such a great Family
Kensie, you have wondered more than once about how much further this dialog through You Tube has gone; on of the reasons is that the Adventure of Spencer and Kensie has always shown the joy you both bring into your lives, there has always been another adventure just around the bend. It hasn't stopped growing, even yet. There are so many chapters left! We are so glad you decided to share with all of us. Fred
Surely, someone else will say something similar here .. motor homes often use shocks so the entire bed can be tilted up fir access like th hood of a car or truck
Baby is so cute. Spencer your bed frame and drawer assembly is super nice. Have you considered a lift up lid to access the back? Just that small section using hinges? What ever you decide will be fantastic. Take care and have a great week.
Good morning, Spencer you will get that bed storage figured out and it will be perfect. The baby is growing fast, very cute. Take care and good luck!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
As you have shipping container for storage at your home place, are you thinking of getting one for up at the cabin place? -Maybe cedar lining for the drawers? Keeps away bugs. Well soon you'll be working on the "cabin" up on the property. BUT you'll have so much more room for you all. Thanks as always for sharing. God bless and protect.
The drawers are a great idea. To access the rear space under the bed, you might want to have to bed slide out. It'll make it easier to make the bed, too.
I am so happy your home will be delivered next week, How exciting. Your baby girl is growing so beautifully and the kids will love having a larger space. I cant wait so excited for your family
Spence, you have amazed me from day 1. There are not very many people that would take on what you do. I guess 1 in 100 million people that would thing of this, what you and MAC have done. Sure, now there are. But for you BOTH to do this. WOW !!!!!!!. I saw you both the first year. You guessed 1 K. NOW, everybody in the country is rooting for you. You deserve it.
Well done, Spencer, your woodworking skills are most impressive. Mackenzie, you are looking great, and so is your latest child. I hope your cabin move goes without any problems. Love to you all from Mike. ❤
The suggestions for using Gas Struts for the bed by the commenters is a great one. I am excited to see the whole transport of the Cabin to the mountains but have one question...I didn't see a video of foundation work to set it on so I assume that the cabin will be dropped off in a temporary until the foundation work will be done later. Then a crane will have to lift it to set it on the permanent foundation...right?
Congratulations on everything moving forward! That is so exciting. I imagine by the time you see these comments, you are already moved out there so I hope it went well! Spencer, your craftsmanship never ceases to impress me. I remember you saying that you had little to no experience in this type of thing when you and Kenz moved to Texas. It's so hard to believe! You did such an amazing job on your home, the cabin is too now! All the best, Heather🇨🇦
Good idea but you have to make sure you are able to have some sort of support for the part of the bed that is overhanging the draws so when you climb up to reach the back area it doesn't teeter or break the sliders. Maybe drop out legs or simply a stand or step stool that you place under the overhanging part of the bed to support it.
Or maybe it could have been 3 drawers across, all deep (front of bed to back wall); on heavy pullout sliders (like those used on overlanding truck beds to organize kitchens/household/clothing. One for him, one for her, one for misc/bedding etc. Divide each deep drawer into sections; most-used things in front, to less-used items in back. No lifting required. Put his/hers on left and right side; misc stuff in middle pullout. That way they can both access his/her pullouts by standing center. And when needing misc/bedding items, it can be accessed from either left or right sides. Looks great regardless of layout and can't wait to see it "in the mountain wild"!
I too have long toes too, and very good balance, and they have saved me many times to get back on balance. I am a women and my shoes size is 11.05 inches. Here is a little thing that I tell others that ask me what size my foot is and I tell them the same size as Jackie Kennedy. I am happy when they ask me and I have always felt blessed because of these facts of long fingers and long toes. I am so happy that you are getting moved before the winter weather begins. God bless you both and your beautiful family.
re drawer pulls: we used unbreakable shoe laces cut to 7" lengths, ends folded under 1/2" and then screwed to drawer fronts with pan head screws. Been working fine for 6-7 years now.
I never have enough room for my feet in a full bed & have considered getting a full XL many times, but the cost of a new mattress & boxsprings(if I use them) is just too much right now, plus that extra 4 inches out into the room space. I really just need to cut down on my 9 pillows. I’m a pillow junkie! 4 Kings, 5 standard/queens. I’m only 5’8”. My feet hang over the end. What’s a girl to do?! Scout is so beautiful! I see both Beau & Cam in her. She’s adorable! You make the prettiest, handsome-ist children!!! Love from Oregon 🤎💛💚🧡♥️ Jess
FYI for those that might be concerned, you may want to round the corners of the bed bumpers/holders to prevent any mishaps. Might not seem like it could but kids bump into things, they're kids after all and kids just do things like that. It will also make getting in and out of the bed easier too without those sharp corners.
Spencer, I started remodeling for something to do after my wife died of cancer. It took me four years of nights after work & sometimes weekends to finish. I know how it seems you can see the end, but even after you move in, you'll find there's always stuff happening. I look forward to the day you can put your feet up too. 😊
Wow, I think your building is flipping awesome. You can make money on that! Happy for you guys can't wait to see the final product done! Lol things are never done when you own a home. I know that from experience. Blessings to your family 🐻🌹🦋🐥🍻
I remember the very first time I watched you to build things. I was so amazed and now I see you making furniture which people do not understand that you can frame in a wall and that's easy. But making furniture is very hard. So you are a very good Carpenter
Hey, an idea for your mountain home (from another viewer): We kept three pygmy goats on 2 acres in the Santa Cruz mountains. We never had to mow the grass because they kept it nicely trimmed, but the best thing was they loved to eat scotch broom and poison oak, which otherwise would have been a PITA to keep cleared. The fire marshal said our property was one of the best maintained in terms of fire protection that he’d seen.
Hooray your mountain cabin is moving to it's new home IV been watching you guys for a really long time I'm so proud of what you have both achieved Spencer your a master builder , Kenzie you bring the practical with the children bringing the sweetness and what a brilliant job Spencer has done on your bed let's not forget bear who is Adorable take care 🥰🌹
If you make the bed on hinges you can store bedding near the front of the bed. Use Irish Spring soap (shave it with a cheese grater) in the drawers to keep critters out.Looks great!!!!
Looks amazing you guys my suggestion would be to put in a Murphy bed that way when you’re not in the bedroom, you can put it up and it can be a couch so then it’s not taking the whole bedroom. Your little one is so cute.❤❤
Could you build a 'pop up' crib into one of the top draws? You just need a mattress that will fit and some padded and ventilated sides so baby can't roll out. The whole thing could tuck away and close when not in use, and once baby outgrows it, just pull everything out and you have a draw back. When my siblings and I were small. My parents had a small camper (RV) p- smaller than your woodland camper - and they had a crib in one of the cupboards in much the same way. Worked brilliantly! I'm so exited to finally see the container home in its final place and see it all finished out, you guys are doing a fantastic job!
Can hardly wait to see the move. Disappointing with them, not letting you know about the doors. But you guys are flexible, and all will work out fine. It looks so good. Nice job on that bed.
The bed build is beautiful ! The half moon ‘ handles ‘ is the best option 👍 I agree with others that gas struts to lift the bed would be a better choice for accessibility . Congrats on getting a moving date !!! Mattress and doors to come 🎉!!
"Yea, I think 6 drawers are enough for me" 😇 loved it! The real question about Spencers long toes is ... can he play the piano with them 🤔 I admire Spenser's approach to everything he does - detailed, well thought out, takes the time to do it right and it always turns out awesome. Great work Spenser!! I look forward to the next video. Have a great week you guys. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Thanks for sharing guys, Spencer you are amazing with your woodwork, such a perfectionist who produces fantastic work! Wahoo shipping container here we come!
Hello,I have been watching your channel for so long now...I love to see your day to day adventures. I feel apart of your life and community even though I only watch you and yours here. Just wanted to say Thank you so very much for sharing your life. God Bless you and yours always ~😊
So excited for you both. Can't wait to see it sitting in its space in the mountains. So pretty there, where there is I'm not sure but so happy that you are getting it moved. Spencer you did an excellent job building the kids bunk beds and the main bed. Also, Scout is adorable. All your kids look so much alike. Strong genes run in your family.
Didn't forget all the dust and other foreign objects that fall thru the mattress slats. We used 1/4 inches panels over the slats. Just something that can easily be vacuumed and has a few small vents.
Hello, we have been following you with pleasure as a family for a very long time. Especially my wife has watched you regularly, every week, without fail, from the very beginning until now. We really love you as a family. Everything you do with your life is beautiful. We have a small request from you: Could you please add Turkish as a subtitle option to your videos? In this way, we will be able to understand your shares better. We wish you healthy and happy days throughout your life.
I have an idea for the far area of the bed, which is to make a base slide so that you can pull the mattress with the base out and reach the back drawer under the bed.
Looks great make sure you leave room so you can make the bed and put cedar blocks in the back if you’re going to store linens underneath❤❤❤❤ you guys are amazing❤❤❤
I have really tall children. When we lived overseas in the military, we had to get "soldier" beds for my sons who were 6'4 and 6'2 at the time (not counting the 6'4 and 6'5 who were at college) They called those XL Double beds "soldier" beds. They didn't usually give them out to family members bc obviously they needed them for the tall soldiers, but after pleading with the Army housing office, they saw it my way! Everything is looking great! That space under the bed would also be good for extra TP and Paper products that you can buy in bulk and pull out every couple of months.
You could make the bed like ours in our 5th wheel! It's on a hinge that you can open the storage by lifting the bed. They are like shocks and they are strong enough to hold it up.
I love you guys. I cant wait to see the next film.I also have been with you with the home you are in now to were you are here with the cabin ,I love love those Mountains and can't wait to see the cabin up there. There little ones are so so Beautiful little sweetheart and so well behaved. I love love you Guys and watching him build so many things . I am from W.V. I I LOVE ON A 🚜 NOW YOU KNOW WHY I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. A LITTLE QUESTION GOR YOU, ARE YOU GUYS AFRAID OF THE BEAR AT ALL. LOL ???????? CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR NEXT FILM KISS YOUR LITTLE ONES FOR ME THEY ARE SWEET AND BEAUTIFUL LITTLE ONES 💕 XOXOXO A BIG KISS
Spence And Mackenzie Are Hard Workers And I Am Telling You They Know How To Get Things Done, Congrats On Moving Your Home To The Mountain Woods Will Be Great And Great For Your Beautiful Little Family 💯💯❤❤🙏🙏🤗🤗
Put a platform so you you can lift with struts. You can just lift the bed like you would on a boat, then there is storage underneath the bed. Then you put the bed back down.
Great to see the progress and happy to hear its heading to the mountains soon, quick question it appeared that the receptacle on LHS of the bed is covered by the frame, hope you have terminated it safe I am sure you have just thought I would ask.
Love the bed and all that storage! As always, beautifully built! I know you must be so excited with the move coming up, well probably has happened by now!😊 Anyway, happy for you all!!!!!!❤
You can always make more room in the "cabin" by using discarded metal to make bumps out on the back and or the front. If the cabin is going to always stay at the other property, you can also add bump outs to the sides.
ONe of the travel trailers we used to have put the mattress on a platform with hinges at one side so you could lift the whole thing up from the middle of the trailer and store blankets and such under
I came across these videos years ago. Selling the house. Moving to Texas. Sleeping in their car, while they made the barn “livable”.. The first pregnancy, with Bo. Sleeping in the box trailer. I’ve had storage beds most of my life, the base has been on gas struts so you can lift it up easily with the mattress on top.
Yes! I see this in Skoolies all the time!! I was thinking the whole time “why doesn’t Spenser use struts”???!!! Problem solved!!! 💕
Great idea...
I was going to suggest the same thing. Just like the do on schoolies to get to storage, water tanks, and / or battery banks.
I would definitely make a solid mattress base on air struts/shocks!
We have had that in some of our campers over the years, but I prefer a Murphy bed with a sofa under it.
Exactly what I was gonna say.
I am a grandma from Texas, and I love this family!!! And also the fact that they do not flood us with commercials. As it is , we have more than enought with this platform. Love you guys!!! great job!
💯
WHOA LOOK AT THOSE EYES!!!!! Such beautiful babies. What would all of us do without our little family to enjoy? You to give us all something to treasure. God bless you🙏❤️
WOW…Spencer….You have grown so much as a woodworker and it really shows…Thank you both so very much for sharing your life and story with all of us.
Spencer what if you made a lift so mattress could rise and access back part. Either on an angle or straight up like remember Hogan's Heroes still on as reruns...well recall how mattress would rise up to expose stairway beneath? Instead you and Mackenzie would have storage.

Surely, someone else will say something similar here .. motor homes often use shocks so the entire bed can be tilted up fir access like th hood of a car or truck
My thinking to that's the easiest, lift the mattress frame and either hinge it or not, maybe just a latch to stop it from slipping.
Baby is so cute. Spencer your bed frame and drawer assembly is super nice. Have you considered a lift up lid to access the back? Just that small section using hinges? What ever you decide will be fantastic. Take care and have a great week.
Spencer you do really nice work!
Good morning, Spencer you will get that bed storage figured out and it will be perfect. The baby is growing fast, very cute. Take care and good luck!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦

Bed looks awesome!! So happy your home will be on its way next week!!!!!!!!!’ 🎉🎉
BEAUTIFUL SCOUT!!! Y’all make the most adorable children ever. 😊 Love this family, I click so fast when I see a new video! ❤❤❤

Awesome Work on Bed Frame & drawers! You two should start a custom design furniture build Business!! 👍
Put your bed on drawer sliders. Then just pull the bed out to expose that back storage.
I agree with this... perfect idea...
Good idea but you have to make sure you are able to have some sort of support for the part of the bed that is overhanging the draws so when you climb up to reach the back area it doesn't teeter or break the sliders. Or use gas struts to lift the bed base up.
@@Jan-and-Rob-TheTwilighters I'm thinking an external weather proof door at the back.
Dear God, it’s so good to see something refreshing on social media! 😢❤🎉
First time here?
these people are ALWAYS refreshing! 💕💕
You will have the container shipped in time for the first snowstorm of winter ❄️ take your winter clothes 😊
I too have long toes too, and very good balance, and they have saved me many times to get back on balance. I am a women and my shoes size is 11.05 inches. The bed build is beautiful ! The half moon ‘ handles ‘ is the best option 👍
I agree with others that gas struts to lift the bed would be a better choice for accessibility .
Congrats on getting a moving date !!! Mattress and doors to come 🎉!!

Slow close pull out drawers? Spencer, you show off! Great update, can't wait to see the cabin in the mountains. 😊
Thank you MAC for the camera work. Went from 1 out of 100. Now is 99 out of 100. WOW !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing guys, Spencer you are amazing with your woodwork, such a perfectionist who produces fantastic work! Wahoo shipping container here we come!
I think hinges on the far wall, so that the back half of the bed flips up. Great video. Keep it up.❤
Amazing cabinet work! Craftsmanship under a shade tree. 🤩

You guys have done a great job on the house and cabin.
What a great bed looks to be nice and comfy. Love to all 😊😊
You have worked hard to get to this point, very excited to see the cabin on your mountain property 👌💯❗️
Congrats on 1.5 m subscribers!!!!!!!!!!! Be nice to have the cabin at the mountains.
Awesome job on the. Bed , congratulations on the move of it ,
Ventilation is also important in the back area of bed (mildew)
So look forward each week to videos. Awesome job, awesome family.
You could make the bed like ours in our 5th wheel! It's on a hinge that you can open the storage by lifting the bed. They are like shocks and they are strong enough to hold it up.
You guys your videos and your family are so very much appreciated.
A beautiful and inspiring family.
The three window combo around the bed is awesome! Reminds me of sleeping in a tent trailer.

Well, almost ready . . . Spencer you rock at millwork! Well done!
Love the bed and all that storage! As always, beautifully built! I know you must be so excited with the move coming up, well probably has happened by now!😊 Anyway, happy for you all!!!!!!❤
Congratulations to your family, the home is beautiful!!
Once the house is up in the woods, you can always add an extra building on for stuff you have no room for, maybe kids toys at night,.
You can always make more room in the "cabin" by using discarded metal to make bumps out on the back and or the front. If the cabin is going to always stay at the other property, you can also add bump outs to the sides.
Absolutely beautiful! Well done.
One question, how are you going to access the wall outlet in the bedding storage area?
I've seen others using leather for handles for that same reason of regular handles getting in the way. It's looking beautiful.
Everything looks great ! Love to all of you❤️.
You could also put a lift kit on the bed to where you can lift the whole mattress up and access everything under
ONe of the travel trailers we used to have put the mattress on a platform with hinges at one side so you could lift the whole thing up from the middle of the trailer and store blankets and such under
I've been out in my woodshop a lot more since Fall hit. Highs in the 70s. Love it!
