Thank you, Brooke, for featuring Caitlyn. Caitlyn my heart goes out to you. You truly are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your story. Best wishes on your journey ahead.
My fiance died before our wedding. I was moving to 9700 ft in the mountains of Colorado. My plans changed. My life changed. I'm still a country girl doing it on my own. Keep doing what you love. That's what living is about.
I'm very sorry for your loss. That has to be very difficult to deal with. We all have trials in our lives. I hope that you move to Colorado. And live out your dreams. I've lived in Colorado all my life. It's a wonderful place to live up on Mount Evans. Just down the road from Idaho Springs Colorado. God bless you and keep moving forward. 😊
She is showing so much strength and perseverance. She certainly isn't afraid of work or being alone in what could potentially be a dangerous place. God's blessings be with this woman.
Hi Caitlyn! My husband was killed in an automobile accident in July of 2019. I am carrying on our dream in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. When it first happened there weren't any Support Groups for young widows, especially, not for us Homesteader types. Thanks for sharing your Story & Feel Free to reach out! 🧡
Oh man. What a gut punch. I was there when we were building our dream in Montana and our 9 month old died of SIDS. It took 5 years for me to get up the courage to go face that challenge again. The human spirit is amazing. Healing. Cathartic. May your journey be blessed and filled with love and inspiration.
Brooke- I am 64 years young… Hurricane Ida crushed my art/kiln aluminum shed with a tree. My sister and brother came over to pull it off. That’s as far as I got. Half of the shed still is straight. The other half horrible. I needed to see this amazing woman… all alone making it happen. I am inspired. Thank you Luv!!!
Wow, wow, wow poor thing. This woman equipped with real pioneer spirit ; certainly has enough inspiration , grit determination , and enough knowhow to live , and thrive off-grid. More power to Caitlyn! Cool beans.
Moving logs you should do in winter with a snowmobile.. I grew up in northern Scandinavia, and that's how we moved stuff. with a snowmobile and sled, people even moved small log homes this way... Once you have the logs stacked, you wait for spring/summer before turning them into lumber...Even not having a snowmobile, just by having a sled you could pull logs with skis in winter. People traditionally pulled logs on sleds with horses.
I haven't watched Caitlyn AND her husband's part of their journey but I HAVE watched Caitlyn's and I've been a subscriber the whole time. It's been the same with you. You have a great following(and so does she) but thank you for bringing viewers with you. Caitlyn is truly remarkable and deserving and thank you for spotlighting her. She deserves everything good that she can get. She and you are beautiful people and we are richer for having you both share your lives with us.
What an amazing story. What an amazing woman! I am pretty sure if it were me, I'd be paralysed with grief. Thanks for bringing this story to us. Such hope!
Brook, thankyou for showing us a short video of this good young woman. Many, male and female, young and old will be inspired by her courage, perseverance and joy. God bless you. T.
@kwimms kwimms I am truly sorry that you are at such a low point in your life. Misery loves company. You are 'disillusioned' and perhaps even delussional. Build a life for yourself. There's still time.
She is really amazing, and it’s astonishing how strong she is mentally and physically to be able to do this solo -I am really inspired to take action and make my dreams reality too! Hats off to her and I cannot wait to see the finished project!
Oh man, been catching this young lady's channel for some time. I had no idea she had lost her husband. Thanks for sharing her story. I wish her all the best. God bless!
I started crying during the first few minutes. I am so relieved that she is doing it anyway! I am 78 now - harder to follow dreams. Blessings to Caitlyn.

Brooke; Thank you so very much for sharing Caitlyn's story! I've been following her channel for about a year & yes, she is one brilliant, remarkable, & resilient Lady to say the least! When I saw you on her channel in the summer it totally warmed my heart; as I was thrilled that you two Ladies got together & you could share your knowledge & experience with her! You both are truly beautiful & strong Women who inspire us all. Thank you for sharing. ❤🙏✨
I have so much adoration for you ! I’m much older , gosh I wish I could have met someone like you when I was younger . You have so many admirable qualities. I’m excited for your endeavors. I built executive homes all my life , I just want to reach through my iPad screen and help you ! But you have confidence and you are very resourceful. Your progress is wonderful ! Your husband is watching , and he is so Daggone proud of you ! Follow your dream. Some days are brutal ! Some days are worse than brutal. But the fulfillment when you are finished is overwhelming joy ! You won’t even be able to explain it ! Thank you so much for sharing with us and allowing us to follow your journey. We are all praying for your safety ! 🥰🙏
Hi Brooke! Caitlyn has a great channel! We have been following her journey for awhile now. She is making her dreams come true. Strong woman right there. Great share!
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you. Be strong, stay safe,. Your hubby will, always be by your side. He will protect you and watch over you, always. You are an inspiration. ❤
Brooke--Thanks again for another great story and an opportunity to support a woman of ACTION! Go girls!!! Can't wait to watch some of Caitlyn's episodes.
Hey Brooke! I’ll definitely follow wild woman. I’ve followed your channel for a very long time and there is something that I have to say to both of you ladies. I am 65 and you ladies are living the life I did in my younger days along with me being a pipe fitter. I love a challenge, being on our 59 acres in Michigan, logging, building, gardening etc. BUT let me just ask that you ladies consider wearing a back brace, be mindful of the mechanics of your back. I am suffering now and it can be hell at times. It’s good to push yourself, but there is a limit. Ask for help when you get to that limit. I say this with love and concern. Safety FIRST! You want to be able to continue with more projects and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Lots of love Simple🦋
MY BONNET IS OFF TO BOTH YOU LADIES!! Brooke, thank you for sharing this amazing young woman's "jaw dropping inspiring" story! For "paying it forward", supporting her channel, and encouraging others to do so as well. Caitlyn, all I can say is, I have replayed the end of this video several times. Where you are sitting with Ryan, from about 13:45 until the end. Your words just left me speechless!
Caitlyn, You are an inspiration to anyone who comes into contact with you. Talk about "Pulling Yourself Up By Your Bootstraps", WOW. Hubby would be so proud of You. Thank You so much for sharing. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
If I could "like" this 100 times, I would. What a great story of facing and overcoming overwhelming odds. We need more people like this - and I need to be more like this myself. Thanks for the motivation!
She is such an inspiration to us women! My husband and I were just talking about this subject last week. We will be following her on this journey from now on ❤
Inspirational. The journey of hers is helping her with her grieving process. Boy-oh-boy, what life throws at you and will test your strength. Blessings.
You might want to get a hold of Homestead Rescue’s Marty Raney ,who also lives in Alaska, to help this young brave woman. Him & his family would help her at the drop of a hat. They live for helping others with the homestead life. This gal deserves all the help she can get. My prayers are with her. Thank you for sharing her story.
I subscribed to her channel a while ago. She hasn’t posted anything for a bit, hopefully she can get some more videos out soon. Thanks Brooke for her story on your channel.
Thank you! You are a brave inspiration to me. I recently lost my man of 39 years and trying to find my way to live again. Sending much love and hugs.💕🙏.
Wow!!! From an old guy I am extremely impressed with her fortitude and steadfastness. I will definitely follow her channel. It’s been my dream also to go to Alaska but hard life and spinal surgeries are dampening my dreams for now. I wish her nothing but success in her future. No doubts she will make it.
God bless her 🩷 I believe she can absolutely do it. Looks like she has people there to assist. I’m 70 now and I wish I had done something like this when I was younger. I, of course back then, didn’t have internet to find out about great ideas like this.
Amazing person, think before you do something so you don't get hurt, day by day the work will get done,I love what your doing with your property, and you home, something to be proud of.😊
Just amazing! I have tears of joy for you. Your strength and perseverance are amazing and you worked beyond your fear. You are rocking it girly! Wow what an inspiration you are!
I just found this video and I am so moved! I can't believe how resilient you are. I subscribed to stay on top of your build but also so I can support you somehow! Watching from MN!
WOW.... I HAVE NO WORDS... The shear strength and encouragement that this gives to other women is sooooo amazing.. You never know what life challenges you will have to face until you face them.. What a courageous lady! The love of her life died in a freak accident but she is resolute in making their dream of living in Alaska a reality. She is young, strong and able bodied. Why not? ❤
Simply an amazing woman!!! Best wishes to Caitlyn. And Brooke, this brought me to tears. Pushing on after losing a spouse as I have is so difficult. Lost my wife in 2017 after 42 years.
OMG, YOU GO GIRL!!! I can't even imagine. You are an inspiration, and the epitome of staying strong, moving ahead, and doing what you need to do for yourself. That is incredible. I know all about doing everything alone, and you have to get creative with your mind, instead of depending on physical ability, in order to get some things done without help.
As a retired builder I really enjoyed seeing Brook Whipple's video of your home construction and I just subscribed so you now have 601,001 subscribers. I will look forward to seeing how you progress with this future home in a beautiful site.

It's beautiful that her connection to him is still alive. I know how it feels, my husband has been gone 21 years and I still feel him. You go for it and get it done,.. love and hugs ❤
Caitlyn, you are amazing and a true Warrior!! I went with my husband on his logging jobs when we were younger and it is by far not only extremely dangerous but also extremely physically demanding. Kudos to you for doing all this yourself, following through with your dreams in adversity. So sorry for your loss, I too lost my husband and that alone is difficult to process as well. God bless you, keep living your dreamd ❣️🙏✝️💪⚔️
Brooke, that is awesome that you are helping to promote Caitlyn's channel. I have watched a couple of her videos in the past, but I did not know the story about her losing her husband. It is very inspiring to see her moving ahead and fulfilling her dream on her own. I hope her channel grows and she becomes as successful on UA-cam as you and Dave have been. Blessing to you all.
Outstanding video detailing the why and how regarding this special new homestead this very versatile and bold lady is building after young widowhood. Brava! Hope she enjoys her new home and continues developing her property. I bet her road gets fixed and even highly improved.
She is amazing! Don’t know if I could do that. Of course I’m 70 but I would probably move to our space but would get a yurt like you built😊. She is so amazing. My heart goes out to her. She is such a strong woman.
Very sorry for your loss. Be very careful about injuries and health. Speaking from experience take extra care with your back. Injuring your back affects everything you do. If you hurt your back bad enough it be difficult to even affect just getting around. Be well.
That’s fantastic what your doing, we living off the grid in Australia for ten years now we love it but it’s really mind blowing what your capable of your husband would be watching over u with god … god bless u as well for carrying on with your dream.❤️❤️
