Love your videos! My absolute favorite 45 is a Springfield Trophy Match that i purchased back in the 1994. It shoots 1" groups at 50-yds in a rest. The only weakness in these is cheap magazines, running Chip Mc or Wilson it truly has been 100% after 10s of thousands of rounds. The recoil spring and shock buffers get changed every 1000 rounds. To date the high grade magazines haven't required and new springs just periodic disassembly and cleaning. My second favorite is the Springfield XDM compact 3.8" for CC, with the sights replaced with night sights and a Talon grip it is fast, reliable, and very accurate out a Kramer IWB horsehide rig. Then in hot summer I drop to a 45 XDS, talon grip with night sights again in Kramer IWB horsehide, it is extremely light and for such a small pistol it is accurate. At typical known combat distances, you can rapidly empty and reload blowing out the center of 3" bullseye target. My all-time favorite jumps to 10mm with the XDM Elite for shit the bed applications, the fire power and reliability carrying 2- 15 round mags is hard to beat. I had, S&W 4506 that i ported and used for competion until it had worn beyond holding accuracy after 10s of thousands of rounds, an hk 45 and glock those were just to chunky for me even though i take 2XL glove size, it was to awkward coming from the 1911 beginings
I own the bul stainless government, It's the newer model and they toned down the wrighting on the side of it. It is by far one of the nicest 1911's I own. True craftsmenship!
A fellow HVAC almost retired owner at 70. I got into guns 6 years ago looking for something to do after a lifetime of Skydiving was over. Own a bunch of 9's in every size & enjoy shooting them all. Also have an LCP2 in 380 & 2 10mm pistols but didn't own anything in 45. So I bought a WW2 replica Tisas 1911 in 45. It shoots well & is reliable but does bite me with hammer bite, so a glove on the hand fixes that. 2 years ago I became Christian & decided to try to follow the 10 commandments as best I could, including the 4th one. Glad you include Jesus in your daily life.
Yes sir even though our flesh tells us differently and we often do differently. There is literally nothing else that matters. I’ve done HVAC since I was 20 years old so 28 years now. I started my own business in 2013 and still kicking thanks along to God and man is that so true.
Oh dang bro I forgot all about that one and I actually have that one sitting in the safe too dang man I might need to redo this video because I don’t know anyone that owns that one. Either the only reason it doesn’t reside on my nightstand or in the truck on a regular basis is because it has no light rail. That’s a good choice right there now. Thanks for watching and for commenting and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
I've started carrying and shooting single action 45lc revolvers. I love the 1911 but there's something about a single action Blackhawk loaded with 255 grain flat nose rounds. Not for everyone but it fits my lifestyle pretty good.
It’s a bandwagon like everything else. People hate it but they don’t know why… because they seen douche operator x on UA-cam bashing it… because they heard Joe blow online talking out his ass about it…. Just a bandwagon

Most people had no idea that magnum research bought those 1911s from bul armory. I have 2 of them, both 3.25 lightweight officers models. I sent one out and had it two toned, forged slide stop and thumb saftey put in it. I have a lot of 1911s and you're right, they have the smoothest slide and a great 3lb trigger. They ran better out of the box than my custom 45s, no issues at all.
We're old fudds, and like our old RIA .45...just takes one .45 to be a member of a happy club, so we'll leave your sensible suggestions to the young whippersnappers...happy new year...!
Good list sir. Own the magnum research desert eagle gov and undercover both in 45 acp. Also the 9mm bul armory commander. Picked up the p-10f 45 acp before I located my 97bd. Added night sights, extra mags, and a hogue grip. Tried to consignment sell twice and luckily it did not sell. The above handguns have all been dependable.
I've got the CZ p09 and have been wanting to get something in 45acp . When I saw a CZ p10 model in 45 for sale I was surprised. I want it ! Thanks for your reviews .👍
Just found your channel and I think I’ve found another favorite. You and Honest Outlaw will be the people I come to first if I’m looking at a new gun to see the review. Keep being awesome buddy!!!
CZ P10F .45 ACP owner right here! Sells for about 60% less than a FNX 45 Tactical but shoots the same or better. I bought it because the price point was so much better than the competition for the caliber. Also, I own a bunch of CZs. Spare mags were available as well.
Hey Isaac, thanks for watching and if you watch too much more, you will find out real quick that my number one favorite brand is CZ. I’ve never understood why the PTNF chambered in 45 was not more popular. I mean basically it looks feels almost just like the Glock 21 but as you said, shoots, holes and points, so much better and accurate. Thanks for watching and for taking time to comment and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
I’ll be honest with you over the past five or six years my experience with Smith has been very hit or miss. As I was telling someone in the comment section in reference to my video that I put up of my three worst guns of the year 2024 two of them were Smith and in the last four years I have sent six guns back for warranty. Four of them were Smith and one was a magnum research, revolver and another was a colt revolver. The only Smith’s in recent years that I’ve had any luck with was the 2.0 bodyguard, the FPC and the 2.0 PC 10 mm. Literally everything else I have had from them either had a safety recall or had to be sent back for warranty and in the case of the other two I just was not a fan. I don’t hate Smith. In fact the FPC sits in the corner of my bedroom as we speak. I like it a lot and I even like the PC 10 mm a lot and the bodyguard made my most shocking of the year.
Nice list of guns, Place I buy a majority of firearms from sold out of the prodigy, but i did pick up 5 new firearms this weekend. (Shadow Systems CR920 Combat and MR920 Elite, Performance Center EZ9, FN 509 Tactical, and a Sig 365 X-Macro Comp) Hopefully they get some more Prodigies in soon, I only buy from this place and one other because I support my local shops.
@@GSquaredTactical Do you know if these 509's require optics plates? mine is optics ready and didn't come with any, so I assume it is like Walther where you have to have them send you one.
Happy New Year, Just found you here great clip, thank for. I walked into my local pawn shop a week ago and saw a Glock Model 36, I knew about Glock’s yes, Model 23 Gen 4 👍 also Model 42 (380) , ect. I held this 36 and was blown away by the feel and concept. Love single stack low profile conceal option. The gun is spotless and had a nice price. Went there yesterday and the price dropped wow I said. I am in your camp great firearm, and yes it only comes in Gen 3, with the small rail added to the newer ones being built. Be well
The Bul 1911 is on my wishlist and now I think I'll check out the CZ. I do prefer a full size handgun-just more comfortable for me. If you ever get a chance, try one of the older Ruger P series... they're a tad heavy but built like a tank. I have the P90 & P97 and at least one always winds up in the range bag.
Wow,I own a Gen 5 G21 and a Gen 4 G30 , never knew CZ made anything in 45 , gonna have to check that out , your videos are part of the reason I have a CZ P07 and the P09 😊
CZ made the 97b for the longest time. Good gun. Not really “underrated” like the P10 F though. But the SAR K2 45 comes with 14-rd mags and is similar to a CZ 97b which only sports 10 round mags; SAR is also a couple hundred cheaper and is more ergonomic. So the SAR K2 45 is underrated for sure.
Yeah, I was going to say those are pretty popular and I know at least one person probably more than one that own those pistols and they are awesome indeed. These are just ones that I feel like are overlooked and I could have added the CZ 97B
My faviourite 45 ACP pistol is my XDM Elite Compact. It's recoil is not bad. I put the 5.3 threaded barrel in it so it looks goofy but it's a good shooter. I thin they discontinued it though. :(
Yeah, a lot of people complain that the XDM 45 was abnormally snappy. There were several times while I was at the range. Someone would come in and rent one. One or two magazines through it and take it back and trade it for something else claiming that it was too snappy. I admit it was pretty snappy for its size but most compact 45s are pretty snappy. That G 36 kicks like a mule. Thanks for watching and for commenting
Have to agree with the Glock 36! Glock 36 is only Gen 3. They still make it for the California market unchanged otherwise it would have to go through testing. Great gun. Can you do a video review of the Kimber TLE
My understanding is BUL is no longer making the 1911 style pistols. I emailed BUL to ask about their 2 tone 1911G in 10mm. I was told they no longer make 10mm 1911s. I emailed Magnum Research who imports the BUL pistols, and was told BUL has discontinued the 1911 line. Please verify this if you can. Their 1911s are top notch and worth a lot more than the MSRP would indicate.
I believe that you are correct because at one time I was going to sell it and a friend of mine told me that exact same thing and so I decided to keep it, but I never researched as to whether or not there was any validity to his claim. Thanks for watching him for calming and be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
However, with that being said, I did see one maybe two actually on the store shelf at my local gun shop and it was not something he had sitting there for a long time. It was a new inventory product. I would say that was probably four months ago and it had the little knives with them. He sold them pretty quick.
@@GSquaredTactical I checked a few online stores to see what was available. Most of the 1911s were "Out Of Stock". There are a few of the Officer and smaller sizes available in 45 ACP. I had the G 30 in the GEN four was a little too fat in the grip for me and my fat sausage hands so I was having some going back into battery issues which was completely my fault but nonetheless, I just could not shoot it. I’ve never had the S variant GEN three. The 36 takes that out of the equation because of it being a single stack it’s much much slimmer.
@@GSquaredTacticalyea I sold my G30S a couple weeks ago. The 36 is just so much easier to carry and shoot. You should do a video reboot on it. The Glock fanboy like me will watch it. It probably hasn’t been rehashed on UA-cam in a while.
@@GSquaredTactical you could title it “Why the G36 is still relevant”. Not many 45’s out there that are great for pocket carry to choose from. I often wonder how big and heavy a Colt Defender is??? I’ve never seen one in the wild here in Alabama and not a cheap gun to risk using an FFL for if you’ve never touched or seen one in person. Any experience with one yourself?
Ha ha that’s funny. That would make me five years old lol. Nah man I always got comments from people when I was in my early 40s about how I looked young for my age but along about 45 I started to get some pretty hard-core gray hair, especially on the sides so anytime I get a fresh haircut I look younger for about five days lol but I can’t afford to get a haircut every week got too many guns to buy
If you had problems with a smith I guarantee sig, glock, springfield, h&k..etc will say the same about those company's and more the man made and production guns all companies have issues

Ruger Stainless 1911. Guess it's all what you start with.
Nice!!
G 30S. 😎
Yeah I had one up but YT must have removed it for some reason
@@GSquaredTactical you could title it “Why the G36 is still relevant”. Not many 45’s out there that are great for pocket carry to choose from. I often wonder how big and heavy a Colt Defender is??? I’ve never seen one in the wild here in Alabama and not a cheap gun to risk using an FFL for if you’ve never touched or seen one in person. Any experience with one yourself?
Never owned but have held a couple times. It is a little heavy for sure
I almost bought a cz p10 45 but i found a LE trade 21 for 279.99 and looked brand new.
Can’t beat that
No brainer right there. Congrats.
BUL 1911 are mostly sold out.
I still occasionally see them but they are scarce
What's up man you look 15 years younger tonight. Lol...Good info man... 😎
@@GSquaredTactical Enjoy it bruh..! 😎
Thanks
Excellent review! You can add the discontinued CZ 97b and Sig Sauer P227. Happy New Years!
