I've bought a couple just because the price was too good to pass up so I'm right with you. That price on a 36 is outstanding. Its a thin gun, thinner than any other .45 and in a "real" caliber. I did pass on a Model 21 because its just a big gun and not comfortable in the hand. The 36 gives me a Glock in .45ACP that's comfortable in my hand. And if you look, you can find +2 extensions though +1 are much easier to find. I'm quite fond of mine.
Sometimes you just buy a pistol you dont need because the deal is so good. Some people have $ burning holes in their pocket and some people need a great tool at an affordable price. Great find!
Nice pickup young gun . I have been Carrying one of these for years . Never felt under gunned . Very comfortable to carry and reliable and accurate if you train with it . Nice 👍 K
I know several people that have them, and I still have my 36. I bought it because it was like a unicorn a few years ago, you couldn't find them anywhere so I grabbed it. I don't carry it because I can't switch the mag catch, and I have a tendency to accidentally hit something and unlock the mag. Other than that, the thing is a great pistol, and it is as accurate as the idiot behind it. And I don't care what anybody says about 45 being outdated, it's as popular now I think as I have seen in many years. Seeing a lot of .40 lovers speaking out too, finally.
Congrats on your new Glock 36 purchase. That is a fantastic deal! Only a fool would pass that up at that price. When the Glock 36 came out in 1999 there were not a lot of choices for concealable light weight 45s. The AMT back up 45 had a terrible trigger and officer size 1911s were very expensive then. I was going to buy a G36 when I stumbled on a good used Colt Defender for about $100 less than the G36. When NYS passed a 7 round law the G36 became very popular here. The concept was, If I can only have 7 rounds than I want as much stopping power as possible and still be able to carry concealed. BTW I want to thank you for putting out all that information on the G-force GF9. I have 1st gen Glock 27 but 9mm is more affordable for range time. I picked up a oem G26 barrel that works in my G27 but is sloppy. I was looking at a conversion barrel that would have a better fit for tighter grouping. I checked out your videos on the GF9 and realized I could use the G-force slide on my G27 plus upgrade to red dot optic. G-Force had a decent deal for slide plus internal parts ( no barrel, sights or recoil spring assembly) for $169.99. G-force ended up sending me a complete upper including barrel, sights and recoil assembly at the same price. With a little fitting, I now have a great range 9mm but I still convert back to 40 for carry. Keep up the great work, thanks for the channel and I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.
I got an aimsurplus trade in g17 for $300 before shipping and ffl. I left glock years ago and tried almost every big name alternative but it feels like coming home and I think I'll stay. It just works
Quality find. Doesn’t look like it’s ever been fired. Grips too small for my mitts, but nothing some Glock 21 mags and an xgrip can’t solve. Plus you can still get it milled for a red dot, and do a barrel conversion to a 10mm and have 2 glocks in 1
picked up a Taurus ts9 odg when introduced in the US FOR 223.00, NATO TESTED 20,000 RIGORUS rounds in snow, water, mud and passed. now they are 325.00 plus, also picked up a glock 43x trump edition for 499.00 new love it. good video.
Nice! I won a G36 on GB for $275, less then $350 after FFL, shipping & taxes. I have a Glock 29SF, so if you need more capacity you can throw the 36 slide on the 29 frame and rock a Glock 30. Respect.
I carried a J-frame .38 Special as a backup for about 5 years before switching to a LC9s 7+1. Today I carry a 10+1 9mm as my main carry with a spare mag and the aforementioned 7+1 9mm with a spare mag. Exactly 1 year ago I inherited this Glock 36. I never would’ve bought it on my own. But I’ve come to love this pistol as a truck gun. I added a Pro Mag 7+1 magazine. If you do this, just know that you will likely have to trim the mag spring to get it to hold and feed 7 rounds. When I first got the mag, I broke my speed loader trying to fit 7 rounds in it. And it was so tight that it would not feed the first round. But after trimming the spring, twice, it works perfectly. The 7-round mag gives me a full grip and a total of 7+1 before swapping mags. And with the 2 stock 6-round mags, overall total is 20 rounds. Again, this is not my main carry nor even my backup. But I do carry it in my vehicle and anytime I’m in the woods. We have mountain lion and black bear where I live. It’s nice to know I have something reliable to take down either. I don’t run hollow points in it, I run solid core +P semi wadcutters for maximum penetration. I’m not worried about over-penetration in the woods because it’s very hilly and any round that does pass thru will probably hit a hillside within 10’. Around town, I rely on my 9mm with hollow points. But this G36 is not a bad option, especially with 7+1. If you practice regularly, master the drills, you don’t need 15 rounds to stop most potential threats. One well placed shot ends most gunfights.
There would have to be different factors for this to be a bad deal. $225 for a working firearm is not a bad deal unless it normally retails for less. For someone with limited hand strength, like an elderly person, then it’s not a price issue. For someone with only a budget for one gun, then adding that money with a little more to get something they can shoot comfortably and proficiently would be a better deal.
I got one for a similar price including the trade in. The pawnshop just wanted to dump it. Broken and came with 400 worth of upgrades. The only smith here is overworked and retiring so idk when i willl get it fixed. I was already at the pawnshop to pick up a different piece. Figured i would dump a budget one that kept going down in value. They even gave me extra credit and 25 off just to get rid of it. I bought it only because it was the cheapest Glock. If i fix it, i can trade it for a better Glock. Or if i get a 29/30 frame, i can recycle the upper and trade the 39 lower. Either way unlike certain budget brands that break on you as soon as you bump into your stairs getting home, this retains value and reliability.
I picked up a lightly used LE Trade in Glock 21 with night sights and 4 magazines for $370 . Gun is awesome. I purchased a Glock 20 conversion barrel for it and 10MM ran fine.
I've had a G36 for many years. For a long time, it was my EDC. They are surprisingly accurate and well mannered for their size. Put some decent steel sights on it. Other than that, you won't be disappointed.
I’ve carried a S&W 442 for many years, it replaced my Taurus 85CH, and that replaced my Mauser HSc in 380. Four times I have had to draw a gun on another individual. The first time it was a H&R 32 S&W long the next was a modified Webley loaded with 45AR and the last two were in the line of duty while serving in the US Army and both times it was an issued 1911A1. Fortunately I never had to actually pull the trigger, I was lucky and each of the individuals believed I would pull the trigger if they didn’t follow my instructions. I believe that being prepared to shoot and skilled enough to do so, is more important than what you carry. The gun in your hand is more valuable to your survival than the one in your safe.
I recently passed up a .380 Glock that was $199 used plus I think a coupon was available. It looked like a good pocket carry gun. Part of why I didn’t get it is I already have another .380 pocket and I’m tired of spending so much in ammo for just practice. Saved up and got a nice 9mm instead.
You could find LE surplus 45 gaps for $175 condition of those varied from almost new to super worn down but it's a good truck or shed gun, only issue is finding ammo.
I had a g36 for a while carried great but shooting it would leave blood blisters on my pinky where it would be pinched between the mag and frame during recoil. I had the pocket clip that was attached to the rear plate and it was awesome.
That's a steal and appears to be brand new. I've had a 36 and found it to be pretty snappy and I shoot over 10K rounds a year. But you're right, many uses for that gun. 9mm and .45 ACP are the only calibers I'll own after years of chasing magic bullets. In my experience those marks on the top of the slide are from the included cleaning brush rubbing during shipping. That finish on those Gen 3's was the worst of the Glocks, very easily marred.
I would say it was well worth 225. But you were a little overzealous saying that there was nothing wrong with it the slide had multiple scratches all over the top of it and the sides. But once again for $225 it is a tool not a showpiece. If you're afraid to scratch your weapons keep them under glass
Got myself a gen 4 Glock 19 with a grey frame for around 300. I was so shocked I couldn’t walk past it and not buy it. The deals have been crazy recently
With so many companies, reputable companies I might add making glock clones were entering a new era just like when you buy an ar-15 no one says it's an ArmaLite knock off or it's a Colt knock off. It's just an Ar15/m16 depending on civilian/military. Just my thoughts.
Just picked up a Gen 3 Glock 17 for $300. It was an LE trade in, but it had never been issued. It has sat in the Glock Box on a shelf in some police department since 2012. Not a single mark on it. They also had Glock 22’s for $280.
That’s a great deal, but I’m not a huge Glock guy. I have a Glock 19, but other than that I like other handgun brands more. Like Walther, Springfield Armory, Dan Wesson. Anyway, I wouldn’t want to own all of the Glocks U own instead of having more of a variety of handguns. That said it’s what U like and that’s all that matters.
I bought (2) used Glock17’s gen 1 at my local gun store at the beginning of this summer for $300 each. When I got home and cleaned them they looked brand new and probably had les then 500 rounds each through them. The reason I know is the tail, tail mark on the breach front of the barrel wasn’t there. Now you find a gen 1 Glock 17 for less than $700 you need to buy it. These also came with the old school Tupperware boxes.
I don’t know what it is in your neck of the woods on why you keep finding these crazy deals on Glocks or guns. Kudos to you man I would’ve bought it too.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Lucky sumbish, I want to find a cheap Glock 30 or 36. Earlier this year I poked my head into the LGS and they had a used Glock 26 with AmierGlo sights for 300, the thing looked brand new and later I saw it still had the factory grease on the slide. According to the gun shop employee they guy that sold it told them he bought it for around 800 during the crazy year that was 2020. Ever since I bought the Glock I have stopped by the shops a couple times a week and have found a few more.
I just purchased at the gun show a one time used Glock 42 with the 2 factory mags + a pro mag its a dream come true. Now for some sights thanks to the lady who traded it in 🎉 😊

J frame for the W as a back-up
5:11 this had me weak asf for some reason😭😭😭
There would have to be different factors for this to be a bad deal.
$225 for a working firearm is not a bad deal unless it normally retails for less.
For someone with limited hand strength, like an elderly person, then it’s not a price issue.
For someone with only a budget for one gun, then adding that money with a little more to get something they can shoot comfortably and proficiently would be a better deal.
I paid $160 for mine and the guy even paid the transfer fee...love my 45 gap
The gun in your hand is more valuable to your survival than the one in your safe.
great video, i love your attitude man, you keep it real 👍🏼👍🏼
I recently passed up a .380 Glock that was $199 used plus I think a coupon was available. It looked like a good pocket carry gun. Part of why I didn’t get it is I already have another .380 pocket and I’m tired of spending so much in ammo for just practice. Saved up and got a nice 9mm instead.
That lock toss 😂 !
You could find LE surplus 45 gaps for $175 condition of those varied from almost new to super worn down but it's a good truck or shed gun, only issue is finding ammo.
I had a 45 GAP some years ago, ammo was very salty when you could find it.. shot well, but you didn’t want to waste the “golden” ammo..
That's the deal of a century for $225.
I had a g36 for a while carried great but shooting it would leave blood blisters on my pinky where it would be pinched between the mag and frame during recoil. I had the pocket clip that was attached to the rear plate and it was awesome.
For $225 I would buy it just for a "I'm going to beat the hell outta it" gun for fishing, hunting, camping, ect .
You stole that damn thing for that price my man! Congrats! Merry Christmas and happy new year vato!
Great buy. You paid less then what I paid for a 30 gen 4 blue label
Nice little Christmas present for yourself... 💯🎁💪
Good deal. I have a 30gen4. It’s a good carry piece but cost me more than 2x what you have there.
For the price I would have to buy it too. Put that slide in a 30sf frame, with a glock 21 mag and xgrip now you have double capacity.
G-36 is my favorite.
That said it’s what U like and that’s all that matters.
bro you really spit facts and i respect that alot keep up the good work.
She’s a beaut, Clark.
Kudos to you man I would’ve bought it too.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Looks great as a everyday carry, walk with a extra mag and you're good! Not sure what people are doing that they need all this capacity.
Very well said and my point exactly! Respect
@@spnfirearms if you need more than 7 rounds to stop a potential threat maybe the firearm isn't the problem. lol
Damn didn’t know you were in MN. Love the modern sportsman
lol as soon as you said pop I thought well definitely a life long midwester.
Good find . Can’t believe people walked away from that lol
i really like the capacity in my g30 but i might have gone with this deal over it thats incredible!
Wow cant even come close to that price in texas, great deal for sure🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯💯
Lucky sumbish, I want to find a cheap Glock 30 or 36.
Earlier this year I poked my head into the LGS and they had a used Glock 26 with AmierGlo sights for 300, the thing looked brand new and later I saw it still had the factory grease on the slide. According to the gun shop employee they guy that sold it told them he bought it for around 800 during the crazy year that was 2020.
Ever since I bought the Glock I have stopped by the shops a couple times a week and have found a few more.
Well I tell you what!!!!!! I’d buy 2 or 3 at that price no questions asked
Yeh situational awareness is the best weapon you will ever have
I just purchased at the gun show a one time used Glock 42 with the 2 factory mags + a pro mag its a dream come true. Now for some sights thanks to the lady who traded it in 🎉 😊
45 acp is my preferred carry gun. That is a great gun at a great price. I need to find one for that.
I have one and I love it. One of my favorite carry edc guns. Get the +1 mag base makes it perfect.
Wow, nice find and purchase!
I’m in Miami and could never find a deal like that. They’re selling used firearms for $50-$100 less than new.
I so wish I could find deals like that in South Africa. Got my 1st glock recently and paid around 700 dollars for it and sad part it's a g19 gen3. Gen 5 goes for a lot more. It's not bad though cos I really like the brand and it would definitely stay in the family.
