The facts is nvidia gpus throws a lot more tantrums if a setting or something hardware related is coming into conflict with it. It look like it needs every setting system wise to be perfect and god on its side to perform to its "potential". Just double check some settings 👍

The conclusion for him was pretty simple: nvidia îs bad cauze raytracing îs bad and it stutters. But in reality it's his PC and Windows that can't be Stable anymore after so many driver uninstalls and installs + the fact that recording 4k while playing 4k with rt isn't that easy to do on a single PC. People usually record with a second pc with a capture card. So You enjoy the full experience of a game without losing fps cause in the back of your ssd there's writing while there's also reading. Seeing a RTX 4080 struggle @ 4K, I'm wondering if I made a mistake buying a RTX 4070 TI Super to play Ray Traced titles @ 1440p. The only title I've tested is CP2077 which performed ok but I'll need to try this Game as a test under fire. By fire I hope that new PCIE power connector doesn't burn my place down.
Take an atx 3.0 psu u're more safe. The main reason i skipped nvidia on 4xxx series after 15 years of Nvidia îs the damn connector. The main main issue for me tbh. :) also 4070tiS is enough 1440p isn't that taxing.
had 4070 for 2k ray tracing belive me is not worthy using dlss for ray tracing coz its not better than native 1440p that i got 7900xtx for 4k . if u want ray tracing native its only one for 1440p rtx 4090.
I am not saying you did anyting wrong brother, but you may need to check, I just tried this test on my Wifes PC with a 4080 Super and 7800X3D and it was NOTHING like this. This is one of her favourite games and she played it all through maxed out 4K and it was completely stable. I tested myself there after I watched this, same settings as you and had no issue. Hope you figure it out boss man! I was getting a stable 60-70 with higher spiked to 80's every now and then, Ultra RT
@@frogboyx1Gaming it maybe is mate yeah, it looks like shader compilation stutter. The frame rate was all over the place even in 1440P which is shouldn't have been. Again I guess one of the downsides with Nvidia is sometimes you have to tinker - because the control panel is so shit compared to AMD Adrenaline. Did you do a fresh driver install with no AMD drivers? Check afterburner isn't keeping your AMD settings?
I looked at her VRAM usage and it didn't go above 15.5GB (yes high) but not enough to cause any stutters. GPU was using around 170 - 220 when watts when playing and 300 odd watts during cutscenes when I was looking as well.
Please make sure to use DDU to unistall drivers before swapping cards. Just make sure you dont have both AMD and Nvidia drivers installed. They can cause issues with one another. Speaking from experience.
Benchmarks for this title already exist; you've got driver issues or something my guy. Your audio is also cutting out which is likely a symptom of the same problem; something like latencymon would show you what's lagging but really I wouldn't bother investigating this until you nuke your drivers and start fresh. Before you do any testing like this you should benchmark your GPU first to make sure it's working properly. Port Royal / TimeSpy together will tell you if something is wrong with raster/RT performance. This is not a VRAM issue. The GPU's power numbers and util are all over the place. Also you mentioned this is the experience most people would be getting but it's really not. Most people are not swapping GPU's in and out frequently. I know you'd like to think Windows will manage all this properly but it's notorious for fucking this up. DDU all Nvidia/AMD drivers off your system and start fresh. When I swapped from my 9700k -> 7800x3D I experienced all sorts of odd issues until I just bit the bullet and installed fresh windows.
Was this right after you installed the game? Usually gpu's compile shaders on newer games and again after a driver update. It can cause massive stuttering like this but clears up after its done.
Uh, dude, there was severe GPU fluctuation in both usage & wattage. Several benchmarks show that in rasterised these GPUs should match *in this game* . Froggy's done something with either his drivers or the "community" told him to adjust several different settings for his 4080S outside of the game itself. He didn't even tell us what *exactly* they adjusted. This is not the typical performance to expect from the GPU(s) at all

I actually did a test of Rachet a while back and defo got good results with the 7900XTX at 4K and RT everything Maxed Also I got Elden Ring recently & having to play that without Upscaling with RT Max 4k Max everything and it is very demanding... but the 7900XTX pushes through it. I'd be interested to see how the 4080 does on that & even the 7900XT Quite silly how From Software don't even have any form of upscaling in that game once they decided to add ray tracing. Can't imagine lower end cards being able to handle it You can add FSR 3 with a mod but then you can't play it online and see all those messages and stuff I like, so I'm playing it without upscaling. That game stutters anyway even with a higher FPS but you get used too it
@@Sakebo Yeah I did that in the AMD software at driver level but it's not as good as the FSR usually in game. It's usually RSR which makes it a bit more fuzzy on hair and stuff. Anyway it's defo playable even without upscaling with my settings. I'm getting 60-50 fps but get dips at times
I would honestly reccomend at this point for you a clean install of windows and DDU each time you swap out cards, then you know there is no other variables which is causing an issue.

You're pretty much rage baiting people with this. I have this game and I've never experienced these fluctuations and stating this is probably the experience most 4080 user's would have is a wild claim to make with a sample size of one.
OK so I have experienced this with every Nvidia card I have tried with this game I need to do more testing on it maybe do a second run after without recording it.
Are all of these tests on the same instance of Windows? I know you've talked about how Windows is supposed to be able to handle hardware changes, and I agree with your point. Unfortunately Windows doesn't even do what it's supposed to all the time. The registry can be goofy sometimes, especially when you're switching platforms like going from AMD to Intel or AMD to Nvidia. I've started commenting on your videos recently as you can tell and I'm not no AMD hater. The 7900 XT is an excellent card and I would have been happy with that card, but I'm also one of those Ray tracing enthusiasts, so I paid for that feature set. Most people in the know are aware AMD is better for rasterization at the same prize, but there feature set isn't at the same level as nvidia's.
I can’t comment on 4080 super I don’t have one but that seemed off a lot of hitches and stuff , like memory running out or something . I run ratched and clank maxed everything maxed ray tracing distance at 1440p nvidia dlaa and I get a locked 120 fps I have it locked at 120 with frame gen and I get a flat line frame rate is rock solid .

Thats a NVENC classic choke on high load , the 4080 itself can run the game at 4k maxed out easily .. but if you add recording using the gpu encoder at those settings, yeah it can choke ... the 7900xt wins in this aspect , Radeon Relive is way better for recording and if im correct, the 7900xt defaults to AV1 and relive itself is very light on how it records or streams image ... if neither of those cards where recording with their internal software, results surely would favor the green card ... good to see that the radeon team has done their homework in all these years with the software ... but hey " amd drivers bad " ... ;)

Um yea something is wrong I really still believe you aren’t doing full driver wipes or something because for one the reason it is like this is because you are almost maxing out your vram which btw I do not know how that is even possible and secondly it’s also power dipping and still does not pull full power on this game I would look at task manger to see what is going or other applications that could be in your background or something is affecting the 4080 super… you post these video it is your experience but for me I still just I had a awful time with amd cards the 7000 series at least and just when using nivdia and when I had a 4080 super for a little bit I just didn’t experience nothing but smooth sailing
Bad playstation port in general, game didn't even raster objects properly in some sections on a 7900xt for me. Would take with a grain of salt, and personally I'm avoiding playstation ports despite them being interesting to look at. Thanks.

Im just not a fan of this generation of gpus in general, loved amd 6000 series and rtx 30 series (would've loved it if I was able to get my hands on one but scalper pandemic :/) but their current generation products can be best summed up as, meh.

@frogboyx1Gaming I get that but please do yourself a favor. It's a mental block try it don't use the highest ultra it will reduce to much graphically. But try quality or balanced out. It will blow your mind. These new 40 seriees are absolutely insane with the ai literally go back and forth I swear no fidelity is lost to the human eye and you can enjoy even more consistent smoother faster more fps gameplay. Even using quality is amazing! Just don't use ultra as it will go for max fps and you will see 60fps gains for sure but still. The 4080 super is so so good with dlss3! If you don't utilize it then it doesn't make sense to be with nvidia for gaming imo.
Your power consumption is way lower than it should be, it should be around 300w and it's maxing out a little over 200w, and I've seen your power consumption be lower than it should on the 4080 super in a lot of games you've shown, maybe you have a card issue

While you don't want to hear it, this really is a you problem. I went back and watched 10 benchmark videos just to see, and this time nobody else is having similar issues. Not sure why you're having this issue with this game. Maybe it's one of those games that don't play nice with having both Nvidia and AMD drivers on the same system or a billion other issues. My 3080ti runs out of VRAM while playing this game at 4K with RT, it still doesn't run as bad as your 4080 Super 🤣🤣. AMD cards seem to play nicer with multiple drivers on the PC, and that's probably because they have APU's that need to play nice with Nvidia GPU's in laptops and Desktops. That said, I just swapped my 3060 to my 3080ti on the same desktop to see if I'd have driver issues, and even going from Nvidia to Nvidia I had issues in hellblade 2 where I was getting locked 60fps on my 3060 went to 1-12 then 80 then 20 and my fps was all over the place on my 3080ti until I did a clean reinstall. You can just chalk this one up to this game doesn't work well on your PC setup and leave it at that since you don't want to tinker. You now have 2 powerful GPU's so you have the choice to use whatever GPU runs the game better. I told you to return your 4080 Super and you didn't listen. You don't like to Tinker, Nvidia is not for you.

Some games can be more sensitive to having multiple drivers installed, this could be one of them maybe.

You should be achieving a solid 65-75 maxed out.
Also you're having a sound issue as well. It keeps cutting out throughout the video.

Forza does this, but it has separate loading screen and usually cpu gets high utilization. i am not sure about this game tho.

As I said without a clean install of windows after a new gen mobo and cpu, who knows what kind of driver conflicts are going on that system...
Also, that 4080 super performance is not where it should be... it should be able to get above 60 in a lot scenarios without upscaling at 4k...

Unfortunately Windows doesn't even do what it's supposed to all the time. The registry can be goofy sometimes, especially when you're switching platforms like going from AMD to Intel or AMD to Nvidia.
I've started commenting on your videos recently as you can tell and I'm not no AMD hater. The 7900 XT is an excellent card and I would have been happy with that card, but I'm also one of those Ray tracing enthusiasts, so I paid for that feature set. Most people in the know are aware AMD is better for rasterization at the same prize, but there feature set isn't at the same level as nvidia's.
I can’t comment on 4080 super I don’t have one but that seemed off a lot of hitches and stuff , like memory running out or something . I run ratched and clank maxed everything maxed ray tracing distance at 1440p nvidia dlaa and I get a locked 120 fps I have it locked at 120 with frame gen and I get a flat line frame rate is rock solid .
What do you think of this game mate? Is it worth buying? I only ask I have a habit of buying pc games just to see how they run and never play them. Lol
Yeah it was good only 11 hours to beat it so you might actually finish it

Thats a NVENC classic choke on high load , the 4080 itself can run the game at 4k maxed out easily .. but if you add recording using the gpu encoder at those settings, yeah it can choke ... the 7900xt wins in this aspect , Radeon Relive is way better for recording and if im correct, the 7900xt defaults to AV1 and relive itself is very light on how it records or streams image ... if neither of those cards where recording with their internal software, results surely would favor the green card ... good to see that the radeon team has done their homework in all these years with the software ... but hey " amd drivers bad " ... ;)
This game looks great. Certainly would DDU with GPU swaps.

Um yea something is wrong I really still believe you aren’t doing full driver wipes or something because for one the reason it is like this is because you are almost maxing out your vram which btw I do not know how that is even possible and secondly it’s also power dipping and still does not pull full power on this game I would look at task manger to see what is going or other applications that could be in your background or something is affecting the 4080 super… you post these video it is your experience but for me I still just I had a awful time with amd cards the 7000 series at least and just when using nivdia and when I had a 4080 super for a little bit I just didn’t experience nothing but smooth sailing

Bad playstation port in general, game didn't even raster objects properly in some sections on a 7900xt for me. Would take with a grain of salt, and personally I'm avoiding playstation ports despite them being interesting to look at. Thanks.
Yea I’m going to make a new comment your vram is almost at 19GB on your 7900xt something is in the background that is INSANE never have seen that before but it’s why the 7900xt is running better because it has 20gb…. Still it does not make any sense what is making your gpu to take that much vram

Im just not a fan of this generation of gpus in general, loved amd 6000 series and rtx 30 series (would've loved it if I was able to get my hands on one but scalper pandemic :/) but their current generation products can be best summed up as, meh.
When I saw the title then seeing the frame rates I already knew the nvidia fanboys are coming with the pitchforks. With the 7800x3d, I've read that a new is install is needed. Also you can't have 2 video drivers running. You may feel it's fine but there are conflicts. Need to DDU each time in safe mode. These nvidia bros are no joke, they'll get butt hurt. Yes, I too don't understand why.
i know nvidia app is still in betta version.,, so it can cause problems ,but this looks idk like 10 percent worse then any other channel with same spec ,,its so weird ,,i think you need to reinstall windows completely from begining ,,you upgraded your pc with motherboard and cpu and memory ,,i would reinstall everything
you went over vram on the start of the 4080 super then used upscaling, you should of restarted the game because everything went into ram and the game couldnt compensate.

Man, you really should be using DDU before you swap your cards out, I get you think you shouldn't have to, but the reality is it's the best practice, take it from someone who has been building computers for years.
I am probably going to just reinstall a fresh windows and start fresh with Nvidia drivers.

I don't really care for DLSS though. I am happy that I don't have to use it with the 4080 Super as much unless I want ray tracing
@frogboyx1Gaming I get that but please do yourself a favor. It's a mental block try it don't use the highest ultra it will reduce to much graphically. But try quality or balanced out. It will blow your mind. These new 40 seriees are absolutely insane with the ai literally go back and forth I swear no fidelity is lost to the human eye and you can enjoy even more consistent smoother faster more fps gameplay.
Even using quality is amazing! Just don't use ultra as it will go for max fps and you will see 60fps gains for sure but still.
The 4080 super is so so good with dlss3! If you don't utilize it then it doesn't make sense to be with nvidia for gaming imo.
Your power consumption is way lower than it should be, it should be around 300w and it's maxing out a little over 200w, and I've seen your power consumption be lower than it should on the 4080 super in a lot of games you've shown, maybe you have a card issue

While you don't want to hear it, this really is a you problem. I went back and watched 10 benchmark videos just to see, and this time nobody else is having similar issues. Not sure why you're having this issue with this game. Maybe it's one of those games that don't play nice with having both Nvidia and AMD drivers on the same system or a billion other issues. My 3080ti runs out of VRAM while playing this game at 4K with RT, it still doesn't run as bad as your 4080 Super 🤣🤣.
AMD cards seem to play nicer with multiple drivers on the PC, and that's probably because they have APU's that need to play nice with Nvidia GPU's in laptops and Desktops. That said, I just swapped my 3060 to my 3080ti on the same desktop to see if I'd have driver issues, and even going from Nvidia to Nvidia I had issues in hellblade 2 where I was getting locked 60fps on my 3060 went to 1-12 then 80 then 20 and my fps was all over the place on my 3080ti until I did a clean reinstall.
You can just chalk this one up to this game doesn't work well on your PC setup and leave it at that since you don't want to tinker. You now have 2 powerful GPU's so you have the choice to use whatever GPU runs the game better.
I told you to return your 4080 Super and you didn't listen. You don't like to Tinker, Nvidia is not for you.

@@Dulkh4n something is off with this, the 4080 super runs this fine at max settings at over 60 no rt and dlss. with rt and no dlss its like 50 to 80fps , with dlss well over 100 at 4k.
