My neighbour is 93, he still works as an engineer(hydraulics), owns a German shepherd (‘only ONE now because he is in his 90s’), missing some parts of fingers due to the job, and the only issues he has had is removal of facial cancers. He is a self confessed sun worshipper. He has a smartphone, uses the internet, fixes broken things, ….He drives a big American Ute. Which he just changed the motor in. And changed the starter in his vintage Drott bulldozer. And rides a quad motorbike to run his dog everyday. (We live rurally). I take my son there for burgers on the bbq , etc, each week. Pretty cool neighbour.

The only thing I got out of wasting 40 minutes of my remaining lifespan watching this was that ageing was worse than all the other bad habits. So stop ageing.
Regarding whether or not it's a good thing to extend lifespan. Life is supposed to be what we make it. If we don't try to break out of the base programming, then there really would be no point in any of it. I say let's make the future that we want.
try to get to the point quicker. I am into 25 minutes in the video and you have not yet told me how you will fight aging.
😂😂😂
👍
You want that shiny free stuff. Never happened.
😂😂😂😂
The brilliance of Bryan Johnson is he knows what he's doing is not for everyone, however, he is able to break it down for the average person to make changes that can greatly improve their health. I think his greatest achievement so far is debunking all the newer therapies as "on the margin showing improvements that can be measured" but not enough to be scientifically proven to show dramatic decline in overall markers. Things like red light, cold plunges, etc. All good on the margin but you are better off with other efforts. It's interesting stuff and not very complicated but people generally don't like something that requires a little effort on their part. To each his/her own.
Long overdue! Let's do it, now!
I think it’s our responsibility to improve lifespan and health spans; to become better for longer. Perhaps this is how we will evolve now; it’s been the way it is for too long. I look forward to learning more about how humanity can decide to “improve” instead of accepting the old paradigm. Live consciously and intentionally!

I don’t think Brian Johnson is suffering, but I definitely think he is cringe. The whole “I have the 🍆 of an 18-year-old” kinds of comments just really turn people off - and not even from a propriety or prudish sense. Like I get that boner pills have been some of the best selling drugs for decades but we also now have a generation of men that can’t find sexual partners because of the deficits in their personalities and their politics instead of their 🍆 So when Johnson makes statements like this (obviously for the shock factor of saying it) a lot of people roll their eyes for a number of reasons.
They roll their eyes because they are ignorant. Older civilizations lived HUNDREDS to THOUSANDS of years perpetually YOUNG.
Keep it coming Dr. Pearce! 💕
Imagine that you gave someone you love very much the most incredibly wonderful, personalized gift that you could find. Wouldn't you want them to appreciate it so much that they made the most of it and did everything they could to make it last a long time? Think of this gift as your physical life that has been given to your soul. I believe it's our responsibility to do whatever we can to nurture our lives and the lives of others as long as we can. It's not about vanity or conceit or self absorption. It's about respect for life. None of us created our life. Your physical life is a gift to your soul, an opportunity to experience the physical. Implicit in cherishing life is nurturing it the best we can at every stage, even old age.
I totally understand about the rejection many people have towards the concept of longevity. I've been interested in longevity since in 1990s when I was in my 30s. Somehow some people think it's immoral to pursue longevity. So how about presenting it to them as prolonging health span? None of us want to become debilitated and end up suffering and spending all of our money on sick care. Nobody wants to become a burden on their families.
Despite all of my efforts to maintain my health span, in my 50s I became sick. First it was arthritis. Then, a cardiac spasm that was misdiagnosed leading in short order to cardiac arrest. I'm here and surprisingly healthy due to the grace of God. He put me in the right place at the right time. Then, at age 65, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Fortunately, it was early stage and I seem to be doing well today. But I don't take my health for granted. I'm always looking out for ways to improve my health. Life is good as long as we are healthy.
I love these. Please keep them coming

The conversation is all sizzle and no steak.
I really feel that if people understand 'health span', they will want to be a part of age reversal medicine. I'm a massive fan, as well as a customer of Dr Conlons', using her Nuchido Time + which switches biological pathways back on, that I didn't know had turned off or dialled down. Experiencing how it feels, as these pathways are restoring themselves is incredibly relieving. Cognitively and physically, the same tasks are becoming easier to do because my physiological function is more effective. My health and therefore span of health is being extended. This, more than just living longer is critical in enjoying life. Why would you want to spend more time than you need in suffering or even dis-function when you could be happier and more physiologically self-efficient?
I'd really like to know what apparently flicks the switch at around 50.In women yes the menopause but it occurs in men too.Is it just accumulated damage or a breakdown in repair mechanisms? How would this be intiated ? so so interesting and could help lots of older people and young too.
According to Jeff Bowles, its the change in the ratio of the "good" hormones (Melatonin, DHAE) to the "bad" ones (Luteneising hormone, Follicle Stimulating hormone). Of course that then begs the question of what causes the shift in hormone production?
Many have suggested a "clock" in the Hypothalamus.
There could also be a "clock" in the ratio of certain factors in the blood, according to the therapeutic plasma exchange people.
Then there's the epigenetic changes which may be a cause or a reflection of aging, depending on who you talk to. Dr David Sinclair has made bold claims about resetting epigenetic patterns bringing about restoration of function. Others are skeptical and point to his commercial interests.
There are anecdotal reports of women taking large amounts of NAD precursors and allegedly reversing menopause.
So, plenty to stir into this complex plot!
I'm sure all the above are related in some profound way, along with possibly other factors we are yet to identify.
Doctors haven't really paid much attention to menopause. Halle Berry held a conference that finally has brought this to the forefront. Hopefully more will be done about menopause.
I see some thyroid issues here.... She needs to address this quickly
Here is my research - fast, exercise, eat real food and get proper sleep 💤
Is nmn and nad+ really any help?
Yes if you are a mice, but it's useless for human.
It's proven in Mice- but human trials are much longer so we don't have that data. There is evidence to show a reduction in biological age through many interventions though, including some suppluments that boost NAD
Can someone advise on NAD where to buy anyone as seems some chose not to say
Take spirulina milk thistle copper niacinamide and fasting it will raise your NAD
I use Nuchido- it not only boosts NAD but reduces inflammatory consumption of it through supressing CD38
I am from Africa and my grand parents' generation lived up to their 90s and 100s!!
They ate organic food including all their chicken, goat, beef and they only used cows butter from their grass fed cows.
They walked everywhere apart from when they came to the capital!!😊. They beleived in God and therefore, tried to reduce stress through faith. No sugar apart from that from fruits and honey from their hives. I also recall eating from home made beautiful clay pots and no microwaves!!
However, today's generation, which is more developed, over "vaccined"... is suffering from cancers, diabetes, obesity, strokes, heart attacks( yes, in africa)
My humble observation is that we would live longer if we were to respect nature, eat natural to the best of our capacity, ALWAYS move our bodies,...
Praising the universe, or God if one is religious by feeling gratitude in order to give our genes a good environnement is crucial.
Scientists have discovered that the emotion of gratitude has the power to release stress as one stays in the present...
If you study the Bible we WERE used to live long, and in instances VERY LONG and also be fertile at an advanced age. The shortening of lifespan came as a "side effect" to the classes differentiation (rich/poor).
I wish this supplement was more affordable, for a common person it is'nt cheap!!!
They are working on it- also there are many free ways to boost NAD through diet, exercise and sleep
no need to worry, it doesn't work
Which supplement? Did I miss something? I watched it all bur didn't see one mentioned?
And that would be a good thing because?
It prevents suffering
I'm aging. I bought a fat body scale from Amazon. It measures about 12 different variables and weight. It gives a value and a graph. You have to input your age and weight goals. It will tell you the actual age of your body based on the values recorded. Yes I believe we can reverse aging. By following the values on my scale, I can do my best to get better healthier numbers to watch my body age backwards if you can understand that process. It's doable to be healthier but I believe 120 years is the maximum life span for humans.
It stands out to me the experiences that your mother and grandmother suffered from seems very much impacted by estrogen loss. F I r a woman this decline , periomenopause, starts happening as early as 30's. Estrogen protects the brain, blood vessels, connective tissue, skin.... so many things. I know that here in America that our aging is moving much faster because of the ultra processed foods. Sugar accelerates aging especially in the brain. I think that with the right science that humans can have a life span of hundreds I f years. I think we will get there and really have to in order to survive beyond this planet and travel the vast distances to other places in the universe
I fast forwarded, no information.
This was my first introductory podcast on his topic for people new to the area- Much more detail to come!
¡¿Posible, puede ser, pero es probable ... !?

Let the body heal itself. Stay away from processed foods and all that other junk. That's out there. Start with that then if you need help after that then go to pharmaceuticals

Of course we can reverse our biological age. The biggest effect of aesthetic medicine is the emotional state impact in my opinion. However, the flip side of that is true too. The negative experiences from terrible practitioners and terrible outcomes I’ve seen age people in what appears to be double time for the same reason. The effect on emotional wellbeing.

Age is the biggest risk factor???? Well if you stop aging, you’re deaf. This certainly beats all other risk factors. I’m 67 and have made some hugh changes in my life. I’m healthier than I’ve ever been. It is almost a full time job. Also takes a big bite out of my budget. I too worry about all the what if’s. What if I can’t afford this new way of life? I don’t travel because I can’t take all my supplements, and possibly eat how I like to eat. Forget about dating, no one wants to eat as I do. Also with the intermittent fasting I also practice makes me a weirdo. So at this rate I’m healthier, going to live longer, be all alone, because I’ve outsmarted aging. I’m very confused. And to top it off, I can’t even find an esthetician that can inject Botox correctly to remove the 11 lines between my brows, which are getting worse. Everyone promises they are the best, but NO! I’ve tried at least 8 times. Each time a fail. Then I look like a healthy, younger, weirdo! That’s my rant. Stop Pierce, more power to you, I’m game for whatever you want to try. Marta
If the wrinkles don't go away then you are NOT successful in your anti-aging protocol. A successful regimen comes with reducing of the wrinkles. All the rest I agree with: the diet, the weirdo part, the loneliness 😊
And they are always dermarollers
Nature has all we'll need for longevity, but if only big pharma would create natural remedies, we'd live longer, healthier, and happier lives. If only they could figure out a way to profit from it, too. 🤔 🧠
I disagree with the premise that aging is the root cause of disease. Aging is a universal concept for the evolution of life and can not be stopped or reversed entirely. The frailty and disease associated with it can to a degree of course. As aging leads to frailty and susceptibility for all disease, but disease is caused by a mismatch between our current lifestyles and our genetic adaptations through evolution. That's a more empowering point of view and of course less dependent on drugs or therapies. If you change your lifestyle you can reverse your disease and improve your biological age.
You haven't done your homework.
I believed the same as you but when we get into the detail of aging in later shows you will see that although aging and disease are separate, the process is the same.
Just keep your telomeres long and create more stem cells?

Just do nothing and leave it to gates. 😅 or you can do something but won't 😅
Pretty sure we can slow it down the effects, but let us not get carried away here. We are not going to reverse our age.
Depends on the situation and the defintion of age- ofcourse we cannot reverse chronological age, but biological age is different- the informational theory of aging suggests aging is a programming problem- effectively a gradual loss of proper code expression.
Many of the interventions that slow aging are essentially using the bodies own defence mechanisms to protect the code, and prolong the need for a reboot, through the stimulation of DNA repair enzymes which 'clean up' or repair the code in each cell.
There is exciting (though early ) research suggesting that a full reboot may be possible one day.

We CANNOT reverse our biological age.
True you cannot reverse chronological age- but Biological age BY DEFINITION is reversible, or they would be the same thing.
?? I didn’t say chronological age. Please explain how ‘by definition’ biological age is reversible? That makes no sense at all. You can reverse epigenetic age as currently measured, but that doesn’t mean you’’re reversing biological age. If we could reverse biological age we would live forever, by definition
Biological age is a measure of epigenetic damage which is correlated to the likelihood of death.
You can put a biological system into a new environment, and it can repair a lot of the damage, which is the same thing as saying you can reverse your biological age, but not the same thing as saying you can reverse it infinitely.
For humans, that is not the case (yet) and there would be risks.
For cells in isolation, it has already been done.
Check it out here --> www.lifespan.io/topic/yamanaka-factors/
It's definitional because the understanding of aging is based on the hallmarks, and the hallmarks by defintion are changeable in both directions- when they change they affect the epigenetic age or they are not considered hallmarks.
@@DrTimPearceif you cannot do this indefinitely then by definition you are not reversing biological age, only some aspects of it.
Anyway you admit that we can’t do it in humans yet so you’re admitting we CANNOT reverse our biological age.
@@JohnnyMagorish That's not a logical inference. Your car cannot reverse infinitely, it can still reverse.
In the lab they have reversed developed cells back to stem cells, so it is already doable at that level. It's doable at a degree in multicellular organisms.
At the heart of this is that you are not quite grasping what biological age is. To say it is not reversible at all is to reveal that.
