At 2:41 I just love the few seconds of hand to hand combat, which i'm pretty sure Toph didn't even do in the series. Which made me love it more.
That was possibly the only area Terra beat toph in so it's nice that they at least showed that
To be fair all bendings are already based on martial arts or at least different forms of it and were deeply researched by animation team during the creation of the show.

Jojo yaya toph doesn't suck. She was raised in a very controlling house, and the reason why she banished suyin was because she wanted to give her the freedom of going where she wanted, and she wasn't exactly banished, she was just told to stay away for a bit. She only cried a few times and for 20 seconds because she is a very tough person at heart and isn't the type to show her vulnerability around people. Sure, she didn't thank sokka, but if you think about it, sokka never thanked her when she saved his life from the boulders coming off of the cliff in the serpents pass. Although they didn't thank each other, they expressed it through actions by saving each other in the end. Toph had to punch the metal when she first metal bended. How can you expect toph to master metal bending straight away the second she discovered it? She needed practise after it. How is she a version of Hitler? You don't see toph committing mass genocide and waging war on the world do you? Toph was joking around when she made fun of Sokka for being a non bender, but in the comics, Toph praised sokka for his non bending abilities and even trusted him in her metal bending academy. Toph didn't purposely get burnt, she went to Zuko because she actually trusted him since she knew she was telling the truth about joining the gaang. Zuko acted in self defence when Toph came because he didn't know who was sneaking up on his, and he caught toph on surprise. You really think she would purposely burn her feet? Her only way of seeing? I don't think so. Toph couldn't lift the hammer because she doesn't have good physical strength. Although she is the best earth bender in the world, that just comes from earth bending. You don't need to be physically strong in order to be a master earth bender. Yeah, she got that money, but she got it off scammers. If she didn't steal from those scammers, they would have stolen from other people who played. She basically defied the people who cheated citizens on the street and took away the money they earn from tricking people. She became the chief of Republic City because she helped in building it. Republic City was Cranefish Town, a town where she worked with a non bender industry, also showing that she has no problem with working with non benders. She isn't stronger when she spits in her hands, where did you get that crap from? Of course she outlived azula, she lived a healthy life and Azula didn't. How the hell does being dirty make you a bad person? You can't just judge her on her cleanliness, she has to not wear shoes in order to "see". Being blind and not able to write doesnt mean she can't be the chief of police, in fact, her disability made her stronger than anyone else except for Aang. Republic City ISN'T the size of France, France is a country. Republic City is the size of Paris, maybe even smaller. She didn't get Karma for making fun of people because that's just her personality, and she only does it for fun, she doesn't mean to intentionally hurt anyone. If she was a bad person, I wouldn't even be supporting her. Zuko got Karma because he was making fun of people in a negative way, hence being punished in return. He shouldn't stand over people and mock them for being ruled by the fire nation, but Toph only truly insults bad guys, and only just plays around with her friends. Toph isn't the reason why korra sucks, in fact, she's the reason why the series is a whole lot better. Without Toph, korra wouldn't be able to metal bend the poison out of her body and Kuvira could have beaten her in the fight and take over Republic City. How can you belittle someone of their abilities? Stephen Hawking had motor neuron disease, yet he was one of the greatest and famous scientists ever. You just seem to hate toph a lot, which means that you supported terra in this cartoon fight, but you were disappointed because she lost, and you knew that Toph was way more powerful than her. Toph doesn't suck, in fact, she is the best. Please take your toxicity and leave.
Really clever moment at 2:39. Toph "sees" by reading vibrations in the earth, so a way for an opponent to get within punching range undetected would be to move through the air (or hop off some flying rocks). Terra catches Toph mostly unprepared, and you can see this in Toph's facial expression at 2:41. Kudos to the animators.
Toph senses vibration of earth even if they are in the air when terra hopped on the floting rocks tophs should have sensed the vibration on it
But after that, Terra levitates the entire time but Toph is able to see her somehow..?

Yeah figured Toph would be able to handle her pretty easily. To be honest I'm not sure there is anyone that can beat Toph when it comes to earth powered battles. When you think about it she is really over powered in that type of match up considering she can sense earth even if it's in the air so you can't just chuck rocks at her, she can anticipate any move you're going to make because of her ability to see through vibrations in the earth and she can just chuck whatever you throw at her right back at you.
Yeah, she's the kind of character who was made to be challenged by people who don't use the same kind of power as her. She is supposed to be the best at what she does after all.
Groudon would probably destroy her though just because Pokemon are extremely fast, his speed stat is high, & he's gigantic so it'd be kinda like fighting Great Ape Vegeta. Hard to fight someone that big & fast when they can just grab you & crush you.
He wouldn't be using his earth powers to beat her though. He'd be using his claws, tail, & feet along with some fire & lava. It'd be like when a D&D player wins too much so the game master drops a dragon on 'em out of spite.
Tomfoolery And don't even get me started on Legend of Korra Toph... she's honestly terrifyingly powerful.

Ya know that means we've never even seen Toph at her prime. We see her as a kid still realizing her potential and as an old woman with that potential realized but past her prime.

1. She is an earth bender making her be able to calculate where the flying rocks come from she feels that that is her bending she does not have to be able to see for that as example: want was learning earth bending from toph with an Blindfold on.
2. Toph was wearing shoes without the soles that was shown how she removed them and only had the top of the shoe and not the soles so that she can still feel/see everything around her.
3. It is only comment sense that toph wins because she has been the one that even found out metal bending when she was 12y old or something and she has beaten multiple eartbenders who where adults in a split second,
4. (My own opinion) her character is what makes her the reason of her rebellion she has always been locked up by her parents and always have been seen as weak because she is blind you may see her as mean but if you see the whole avatar series you will see that she cannot fully express the way she feels: the way she struggled that it was her fault that appa got taken away and how she tried making it up by finding appa, the way she felt so unsure about her appearance and how she may be too manly how katara helped her, that makes her the perfect character to be in atla without her the story would just not be completed

Maybe if there was one who could fight in a more hand to hand style. Toph relies on her bending, and while she may have some hand to hand skill as it translates from the bending techniques, if she faced an Earth user who focused on more up close and personal they might have an edge.
Does an Earth user like this exist? I don't know.
I think thath while most bender use martial arts just as a way to focus more their powers, no one of them is defenseless in close range(against an human being, i mean).

This was more amazing than I was expecting it to be! And that's saying something, since my expectations were pretty high already. Never realized before how cool it is to see people throw rocks at each other like that. And the end with Deathstroke watching from afar? I... I love you guys. ...Oh, and the animation was beautifully done too. I loved everything about this fight. :)
Firstly, I’d rather not choose between Toph and Iroh, as I like them both. ... In fact, after giving it some thought, I’m not sure if I’d get rid of anyone, as my memories of Avatar and Korra aren’t the best, and the villains are of course a necessary evil, so I wouldn’t want to remove someone like Ozai or Azula, no matter how unpleasant they or other antagonists may be. A good story needs conflict after all.
Secondly, are you OK? You seem to have posted the same exact replies on other people’s comments, and your replies have little in common with others’ original topics, such as how my comment was only complimenting the video and not discussing Toph’s character or people who hate Avatar. It’s clear she’s rubbed you the wrong way (which makes me wonder what Iroh must have done for you to bring him up earlier too,) so I can only assume a video featuring Toph must have set you over the edge? If so, you have my condolences, as I understand what it feels like to be irritated by certain characters (Zamasu from Dragon Ball Super is a great personal example of mine.)

Seriously looking forward to Pearl vs Undyne, if that's the correct matchup
I'm glad it's on here instead of Death Battle. In Death Battle, Undyne's hesitance to kill would be ignored so Pearl wouldn't stand a chance because one good hit would be enough to poof Pearl while Undyne tanks hits like a beast with her determination since a lack of hesitance to kill means she'd be *determined* to kill.
Undertale characters definitely work better here than they would in Death Battle for the most part.

D YellowMadness Incorrect, Pearl has tanked hits far worse than Undyne probably has than from a small child, remember Sugilite? Maybe even Amethyst’s flame charged whips? Or maybe a whole entire war? Does maybe even stabbed by another clone of herself with the same output to cut a tree in half with a BALLOON SWORD even put her close? Undyne is probably going to be undone. Pearl ranked serious and otherwise critical hits from those that would be catastrophic on our levels. If Undyne transforms, its best to assume that then she would stand a chance.
Have you considered that this is a One Minute Melee? The show where two fighters duke it out *without extensive research on both characters?*
