Hey Graham, you were one of the first major influences on me as an audio engineer/mixer back when I was in highschool during 2012! Thanks for everything you do, you inspire so many young people then and now.
Thank you for the video. I know this is two years old but I would love to see more on how to get more clients and how to market myself effectively. Thanks again!
The exact opposite of this approach also works - make yourself scarce, don’t position yourself as cheap, make people feel privileged they’re getting to work with you and don’t cling onto them.
You have to work for free and build a reputation first year. Some work is paid while keeping a 9-5 job. Just slapping a price tag on your service doesn't always make you stand out even you quality is good. This whole industry revolves around credentials not potential.
Thank you Graham & Ryan -- very helpful as always! I'll have to watch this several times to make sure I got all the steps right. :) Timely too, as I am right in the process of getting set up.
Hey Graham, what a great companion video to go with your Musical Income course. I've learned a ton from you and Ryan already and looking forward to starting my journey. Thanks for everything!
I wish people didn't push sellers of services so much towards auto email responders and automated email follow ups etc. It's super annoying to receive them, each and every thing people sign up for on the internet has them, and only an actual sheep would believe that they are sincere or personal emails. It's dumbifying your own potential clients, in lack of a better term
Email has the highest engagement out of any media. You might not like them but people actually look at and click on links in their emails while they very rarely do on some forms of social media (twitter being probably the worst).
Yikes- Very sad. Teaching you how to come across as desperate. Will there be any time left for any music or do you spend all your time and energy harrassing people with continual marketing. Plus would never trust a guy with a haircut like that!
This is the type of thing someone says when they haven't tried to keep a steady flow of work. You have to have people's attention if you want to make a living at this. This video isn't for you, judgmental rando on UA-cam; it's for people who are actually trying to make steady income.
Graham, holy hell the last vid I saw of yours was 3-4 years ago and it looks like you've aged 30-40 years since then... :( You look about as old as Warren Huart now.
I have been following Ryan's channel for around 4-5 months now and he is definitely a great inspiration for Musicians! Glad to see him here too😉
