As a fellow poet, I deeply enjoyed listening to Jericho Brown's words. There is a mystique in the way he delivers his message, and I loved watching him memorialize a difficult childhood in hopeful prayer.

21k lovers of poetry. That's something in our seemingly very busy, go, go, go kind of a world. Long live lovers of poetry, poets in love, love in poems, poems of love, not the ordinary kind of love, if such a thing is love, but, the best kind, the one that comes from the core of our being.

I have been a poet/writer and educator for over 40 years. I have also been published widely... including 4 books. I have facilitated workshops, attended countless readings and open mics, and placed at the top, in poetry slams. However I also suffer from depression and have been in a nonproductive " funk" lately. My therapist suggested that I watch "poetic" videos to try and ignite that old spark... This is just the catalyst I needed. Thank you for a thought provoking, inspiring, and engaging talk on what has my passion since adolescence - writing. I feared that this passion had withered - fortunately, I was wrong.
