About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in 1997 and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon.
Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013.

Blur are so cool...on this album they straight up jump from this type of 60's french pop style of music to punk rock...then techno...it's insane.
That’s what makes them so great; how versatile they were. I prefer them over other britpop bands from the time, simply because they have more to offer. More styles, genres and sounds. It’s something very important in artists to me, that they don’t just do the same thing over and over.

I love this song because, having heard it first whilst watching the video, this is obviously a homage to ''Last Year at Marienbad'' which, once viewed is never forgotten. Just perfect.

This is one of my favourite Blur songs and funny I discover the video years later. My heart melts when Damon sings “what happened to us, soon it will be gone forever”. Definitely underrated like Clover over Dover.

Last year in Marienbad film in which this video is based is a masterpiece of French New Wave cinema. What is the movie about? No idea. Everyone has their own interpretation. Love this video and great song. Blur are a fantastic band.

Parklife was the very first cd I purchased at age 12.
The constant media debate in the 90s about who was better, Blur or Oasis, was never really a fair one. For me, it was always more about exactly how much better Blur were.
This song is a perfect example of why they were better.
Nah mate. It wasn't who was better. It was who YOU preferred. I personally like Oasis more, but Blur has its place with me too. I never get tired of this song. As close to perfect as it gets.
I love them both. Oasis was amazing back then and most famous band in 90s with many no. 1 songs. Blur was amazing too.. Even blur wasn't as famous as oasis, but their music are better and not boring as oasis.

I got into Blur first but I give Oasis the edge. They simply have many more great songs than Blur. One plus for Blur is I think their music sounds more diverse, maybe because they experimented with different musical styles more than Oasis did. This song is a great example.
