    Awesome! Always wanted to have some victory rolls, never have. And I love the mannequins hair color. I wish I could ask her formula but she wouldnt tell me anyway

      I colored her hair myself! It is L'Oreal HiColor Hilights (that is the correct spelling) in Copper on level 7 base haircolor. 🌟

      I got the formula years ago from a post Doris Mayday's hairstylist shared about what color she used on her.

    To combat fly aways I put a small amount of pomade on the hair before creating the roll. And by doing this I never have to fuss with any fly aways.
    And I never pull out the pins for fear of accidentally pulling the hair out of the roll. I just pin the roll in the middle to my head using a long bobby pin to hold every thing in place.
    For the side rolls, my hair is on the thin fine side. And when ever I try to tease the hair the hair will not create the fluff. What works for my hair type is I need to curl my hair first in order to do any sort of roll, front or side. And just like how I described how I do the front roll I do the same for the side roll. I use a long bobby pin to secure the roll to the head, and I never pull out any pins for once again fear of pulling out the roll.

    I have struggled with rolls and this was so well explained. I’m anxious to try this technique. I have your tool and have been using it wrong. Thanks so much for making this info accessible. It’s wonderful!

    Lauren, thank you so much!! This tutorial is wonderful. I just received my Roll and Go and am learning how to do my hair for a theatre role. I’m not a “hair girl” and you have saved me.

    I use your tool for wigs all the time!! Have you ever thought about making an even bigger ROLL & GO for exaggerated styles like drag and Avante Garde?! I'd be first in line to buy!

      Maybe one day! The mold to make the tool costs many thousands of dollars 😬 so it it may take some time.

    I love this! Was the mannequin’s hair curled at the top before you rolled it into the victory curls? Or will I just need to curl the bottom of the hair?

      It's been a while, but I think the doll had been set in hot rollers at some point.

    Very nice!! How much hair did you section off for each roll?

    • @LaurenRennells
      @LaurenRennells  2 роки тому +2

      The top front roll is about 3 inches across and 1.5 inches deep. The side rolls are about 2 inches x 2 inches square.

    I have a question even if I don’t have the roll and go and go can I still use my fingers to roll after I tease it?

      If it says Roll & Go Hair Tool, it is real and you are actually buying it from my Amazon marketplace. Thanks!

      Her hair had a little bit of bend in it from a previous hairstyle I had done on the mannequin.
