I've been out of prison for 6 yrs now. This song was the only song that I sang in my head for months on end. Here I am now six years later revisiting this song and it makes more sense to me now why I sing that song in my head for so many months now than ever. I was diagnosed with stage 4 Cirrhosis yesterday. I’ve never drank or done drugs but a lot of different things can cause this.This battle begins.
I beat breast cancer at the beginning of the year. People get what they deserve..I ain’t seen mine but maybe I will. Only God Knows Why.......
I wanted to give an update...First of all, THANK YOU ALL FOR THE PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES!!!
I went today for an endoscopy and found that the blood vessels in my esophagus are slightly enlarged due to the cirrhosis and I am being put on blood pressure medicine to hopefully stop them from getting worse. My cirrhosis started as fatty liver disease. I am working to get and keep my weight down along with keeping my sugar under control. The damage was done to my liver years ago when I was a considerable amount bigger. Hopefully, with God’s grace, I will keep on keeping on!!!!

Love this song, it rings true to me. My hisband of 37 years was on crack and went through what we had and everyone else things too. I suffered panic attacks and depression so bad while i managed to work full time and raise our two kids while he would stay gone all the most of the time using. I would fall asleep praying for god to take the taste for it away from him. 36 years into our marriage he quite cold turkey. That was 2017 and he's still clean. Thank you God!! God is listening to each and everyones prayers. Keep having faith!!

KRobert Smith - What's up boss, I happened to see you just posted that a week ago. About 8 years ago I was in your same place, it turned me in to a really selfish person. I think I was clean for like 9 months or so before I finally could throw away my last rig. After a few relapses, and turning my back on a few close people, time just sort of went on. I kind of just forgot that instant gratification mindset as well. If you ever think you're in a bad spot or feeling crazy, don't hold back seeing a suboxone doctor - the shit actually does help you and is way less of an evil than H. It got me through some tough spots, and there's sub doctors all over the freakin place now. Even if it takes just smoking green and subs for a while until your mind lets go of the dragon, it ends up being so much of an easier lifestyle to NOT be using H. Dude told me once if you put in 10% of the effort you did to get high into staying clean off H, you'll do alright.

My dad used to listen to this song when he was sorting things out. I knew his soul was going through some growing pains . We drove out to Florida one year and he listened to it every now and then while trying to pick the path he wanted to go down next in life. He was having a rebirth of the soul. Unfortunately I didn’t understand the depth of it until he passed away 7 years after. I find as I get older with time I am drawn to this song like he is. He didn’t like kid rocks songs… but he loved this one. Sometimes I hear it I know it’s him. Saying not to quit and everything will be revealed in time.

Your music touches people in their hearts and thats what good music does and thats what will make it timeless. To write timeless music is something that only the greatest can do and keep glorifying GOD because so many are afraid to and we need as much of it as possible. Ive seen you back in the 90s in Bremerton WA when COWBOY dropped and i was on LSD and candy flipped it with ecstasy. Me and seven friends that was one of the best shows.

I've struggled with my mental health since I was 13 I'm 27 almost 28 now and this song is a part of why I didn't make the ultimate failure and end my life and only god knows why I didnt now I'm a chef and a father and the happiest I've ever been watching my beautiful boys grow up so if any young people are listening to this and read my comment remember to keep on walking with your head held high and keep moving on. Lost my dad and my younger brother to alcoholism. This song brings back so many memories about them. I myself was an alcoholic, I've been sober for 2 years now but that shadow still follows me around and haunts me every corner I turn just waiting for me to slip. I lost my 2 sons Joshua 23 was driving to meet his girlfriend in PA and 20 minutes away he fell asleep at the wheel and he hit a tree ! This was on April 6 2020 he died on the 20 th from trauma to his brain! A year later my son Michael died age 23 from a fentanyl overdose on September 25, 2021! And definitely that song only God knows why says it all ! You have to keep faith it’s been so difficult, but this song really hit my heart!

Last Sunday my best friend died from a heroin overdose that same day was my 2 year mark off meth and heroin. Still clean today after saying my last goodbye to him at his funeral. This song is on repeat...

Sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend to a heroin/Klonipin overdose in 97, and I'm still not right. I began my next recovery two months later. She and I had met sober and been sober buds for almost 5 years, with the same clean date, which was just a coincidence. We went out about the same time and wound up using together. One night I thought she was fine and went home, but she took some Klonipin, a benzo, to go to sleep. She died in her sleep that night. I lost many more after that, but none that rocked me so deep. I felt like she was so much a better person than I was, always reaching out to people even when she was using. This is a good song because I still don't know why some of us live through shit that should kill us and others who have so much to give are the ones that die.
