My dad passed back in 2012 and he was a huge ozzy fan he died wearing a black rain shirt😭 he had ozzy seat covers for his Cadillac and all of his cds. When I hear ozzy I feel my dad’s presence so I listen everyday so I know my daddy is with me 24/7

I'm 71 and first saw Black Sabbath at Ritchie Coloseum in College Park, Maryland in 1972. Ozzy was amazing - I'd never heard a singer like Him before or since. That was the greatest concert experience of my life at the time. Ozzy is The Man.
Saw Ozzy in the 80s with QueensRight in Raleigh NC . There is no other artist that has such a range. Unfortunantly Ozzy never gets the credit he is owed. Prayers and love always to the Ozbournes.
I was at Ozzfest when he sang this, I called my mom on the phone and we heard it together. Rest In Peace my wonderful mom. Thank you for the memory Ozzy!
@San Joaguin Valley Transparency That is so beautiful and such a special memory for just you and your Mom to always cherish. May she R.I.P. She's watching over you from Heaven.💕💕
I am sure she is happily smiling down at you and yours. I am also a mom and know I would hug you if I could. God bless. Live well she will be waiting on the other side when you join her. 💋🙏🏽😘
Wrong, Ozzy Osbourne did not dedicate this to the military...before coming home from being away on tour, he would call his wife Sharon, whom he called Mama...And would say "Mama, I'm coming home!"
My uncle Luther Grosvenor was called aerial bender and played in a band called mott the hoople and toured with ozzy for years Sharron was there’re manager
MrFoliumofdescartes Not that it's probably even worth responding to a troll. But as an engineer we were involved in building and repairing roads, hospitals, wells, schools, sewer systems, ect. Along with providing equipment to the local government for their own building projects. That left us a bit to busy to go on any blood thirsty killing runs...
I played this song for my dying Dad while he was in hospice, and continued to play it for months after he died. Balm for my soul. Love you, Dad. Come get me when it’s my time. 🙏🏻❤️
Kaya lost my dad too, about two weeks ago. The hardest thing I've gone thru. But Jesus was with us and he passed peacefully after a month on hospice. God bless you and I'm sorry for your loss.
"I'VE SEEN YOUR FACE A THOUSAND TIMES, EVERY DAY WE'VE BEEN APART" THAT HITS ME HARD, HAVEN´T SEEN MY MOM SICE 2018 AND I MISS HER EVERYDAY. AIN'T THE SAME BEEING FAR AWAY FROM HER.
I lost my father back in 2002. It was one of the hardest things Ive ever experienced growing up as a child. I’ll never forget my mother’s expression. My sister’s screams, and the overall sadness I’ve experienced. I’m 29 years old now, with a good job, dating, and all that. I still have these feelings…I miss you so much dad.
I lost my beautiful son Adam just after he turned 24 in 2021. I heard this song the day of his funeral and knew he was talking to me through it. I heard it again today on my birthday, I know it was him saying hi and happy birthday to me❤
I love this song 🎵 ❤️, it's a beautiful tribute to Ozzy 's wife Sharon. After all the pain he caused her,he got his shit together before he loses her. That's why he's saying Mama I'm Coming Home.
I can't believe it's been thirty years since this masterpiece was released. It means just as much to me today as it did then. God Bless you Ozzy and Rest In Peace Mom.
This song really is a masterpiece. The more I hear it on the radio, the more I realize this is a timeless masterpiece that sounds just as good today as it did 30 years ago.
I lost my mom in 2012...I still wanna call her and tell her the crazy shit her granddaughter did today..She was my best friend...love you Ma where ever you are!!

My daughter texted me this song. I moved to TN almost 3 yrs ago. I have seen her pretty often but she hasn't been able to break away to come up here, yet. She and her 2 daughters are coming up on 10/18! We share a bond through good times and bad as well as music. She & I had a skip day from school & work and went to Oz Fest in Atlanta. So every band there that day holds a special place in our hearts, but none more than Ozzy! Her eldest daughter, 10 1/2, is learning bass at the School of Rock. She auditioned for their house band, made the cut & is now learning Crazy Train amongst other songs. Music is eternal, as is our bond. The littlest one, loves Ozzy, always has & knows every word to Crazy Train, her favorite long before her sister began learning it. So thank you Ozzy, for all the music you've given to us since I was a child. You will NOT ever be forgotten! ...and, my baby's coming home!
My mom passed away on October, 5th, 2015 and whenever I hear this song, I think to myself, I want this song played at my funeral. Since I will be going home to see her at some point. I miss you Mom!! ❤️😘
I miss my Mama everyday. Lost her to colon cancer in 2013. I have a memory with this song as a teenager. I had a fight with my mother and I ran away. Was gone maybe a week. Mom loved Ozzy. I dedicated this song to be played on the radio before I decided to come home. Don’t know if she heard it played but one of her favorite songs.
sorry for you loss, i lost my mother back in May due to health complications (mostly kidney failure), i am grateful she was able to meet her Great Granddaughter
3 months before my dad passed he asked me to make sure this was the one and only song that was played at his services so it indeed was ! Now every time I hear it I think of him 💜
one of the best ballads I've ever heard. I remember when i was going to sleep with my Sony walkman headphones while listen to Ozzy tunes. what a great times.
EDIT: one year sober today 10/13/2021 EDIT 2: 05/19/2024 still going strong in my sobriety dedicated this to my mom when I went to rehab for the last time, this song always brings tears to my eyes bc she finally has her baby girl back 10/13 marks a year sober! I’m finally home
God bless you, sis! The road you are on won't be easy, for the devil will always call you by your weaknesses. However, God will always call you by your name. Follow his path, and as each day you will become stronger. I'm 50 years old, and the devil still likes to try me but he never succeeds. ❤❤❤❤
I miss you so much my forever 18 years old son,😢You went home to be with the Lord for almost 2 years now.Rest in pease my boy.😭💔 We will meet again one day .🙏🙏💕
Lost my mama to her third battle of cancer August 2022 age 63, haven't heard this song in years it plays today and I'm. Crying like a baby, and have company coming over and I can't get over it, but they all knew what my mama meant to me she was my best friend and I can't wait to see her again. I pray. Every day that theirs an afterlife cuz I would hate to think of not ever seeing her again. God bless everyone that lost their mama's. That's the hardest thing I've had to deal with in my 45 years!
Don't care what anybody says. No Ozzy song was bad or ever will be bad. This man is the godfather of metal. His greatness will NEVER die. The Prince of Darkness
Lost my mom to cancer as well this song used to be the song i played when I was in my flight on my way home, now it just hits different. Best regards to all of us that have this song in a special place in our hearts. Thank you Ozzy.
I've loved this song since I first heard it. Always loved Ozzy with Sabbath and solo, but the song took on special meaning when I learned that Lemmy was co-writer. Now even more sentimental because we lost Lemmy, and my Mom passed away in March from colon cancer, one day shy of her 84th birthday. I love you and miss you Mom. RIP to you and Lemmy.
My Love was a Ozzy fan to the core. We never got to see him, but this was her favorite song. I lost her on April 6, 2017. She was just 48, but a rocker till that day. Ozzy.....Bring my baby home.......Miss you Babydoll.......
My mother is 96 years old today and I thank God for allowing me to continue enjoying her company and perhaps she will allow me to have more years, mom I love you.
Слушали с папой эту песню на виниле. Пластинка бережно хранится мной в память о том, кто вырастил меня и проиграл в битве с раком почки. А в песне словно живет часть души моего отца. Я тебя люблю, папа
I will never forget when my son called home and he started singing this song. I started crying right then. He hadn't been home for over four years at the time.
Lori Faircloth .....beautiful.......this song reminds me of my mum ....she died way back in 1978.....(I've seen her face a million times since).......✌🏻
That's one of the greatest things I've heard.😀🤗 My friend & I, or sometimes, my brother. Or all three of us would sing songs on a long trip, either walking home, or on a bus, car, or just a trip...lol🙃😶🙆😏 But yeah, we would bust out a good jam & head home🤗. So when you said y'all did that!!😳🤓😑🤘🕴🕴🕴😀😍oh man, I'd stand & salute yall boy's & girls all over again!! ✊ 🇺🇸 🎶🙋🍀 Definitely made this, "momma," proud!!🤘💖 Stay cool & THANKS!👍
Respectfully disagree here. I think freddie Mercury is the greatest vocalist of all time, but ozzy has to be the GOAT in terms of putting on a show for his audience. He really loves the stage
Layne Staley, Ozzy, Dio, Maynard, Chris Cornell (as well as some others) are definitely among my favorite vocalists ever. Ozzy's influence can't be overstated for what he's done for the genre of metal.
@@mel_va_ Yea, Lemmy wrote a total of..... think it was 5 or 6 songs for Ozzy. Off the top of my head it's "Desire", "See you on the other side", "Hellraiser" (Motörhead also has a version of it) and "I don't wanna change" that are lyrics Lemmy wrote
My mom passed away when i was 21 in 2015 i miss seeing her face and hearing laugh her smile was infections and her love was unconditional. Ill always remember her. Thanks Ozzy
I miss you, Mamma. It’s been a hard 36 years without you, but your words helped me raise 3 strong productive young men. “A man is someone who takes care of his own, with his own two hands and will only be as good as the word he keeps, from the promises he makes”. I said those same words to my boys when they were growing up and they took them to heart just like I did. I wish you could have held them when they were babies and watched them grow up. I still talk about you to them all the time and they still gather wide eyed to hear the stories I learned from you. I hope you are proud of the job I did with them, because I sure am proud of the job you did with me. I love you Mamma

George Beland--Respectfully, the idea that Christians spend eternity in heaven is a modern invention. The bible and the church taught for 1700+ years that believers would live in new bodies on Earth for eternity. That's the point of the physical resurrection of the dead at the end of the age. Cheers.
RobotWookiee - so true. We may go to heaven but we aren't staying there. Earth is humans' home. Heaven is the home of angels, etc. Maybe Yeshua's reference of him preparing a place for us (Jn. 14:2-3) is referring to him & others preparing another earth like planet for us humans to live on.
The only problem with old music marathons is how you start out happy and nostalgic and then you go down the rabbit hole and end up all twisty and crying.
Just lost my mama to cancer Dec. 16.. she loved Ozzy n loved this song... you r missed mams more than you will ever know.. Rip my dear mama.. I love you....
Chris Rock we will all meet again soon in the stars much love man keep pushing !! Here for you and anyone else who feels down were all in this together
This was the last song my mom listened to before passing away at 53 years old from cancer. It was her significant others favorite song and it relaxed her enough to be able to go be with him. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
Well so will the cash and they say thistles and I and that but it's definitely gonna pay us and will be used for plenty of dope and fun times and they have to be treated how
I just lost my dad at the age of 54 on Sept 12 to stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He loved ozzy and he loved his mom and had spent the last 30 years missing her dearly. We played this song per his request(along with "Man in a Box" by NIN lol) at his funeral, I know he is happy to be with his mom again. RIP Dad.
Ozzy is the God of heavy metal. Such a unique voice. He has had some of the best guitar players. From Black Sabbath to now, this guy has influenced so many people. He's a fucking legend!!!
@@burakeka i do, but what I like about iron maiden is how they think about music as not only a background for vocal, but a part of the lyrics. And they are real deep, like really deep. That's why their songs are usually 8+ minutes, they take you on adventure and 4 minutes is just not enough to create such a feeling
Who is here on August 9th 2024 @8:23 p.m. I miss you Mom! And I love you Ozzy! God bless anyone who’s going through anything on a regular basis! Don’t quit and die , get up and try!Love y’all ! Jesus gave it all for us!
Growing up as a kid, I heard this song often and liked it but never truly understood why. Now, as a 25 year old who is making amends with my mom "one day at a time" for years of heartache I caused her and a multitude of mistakes I made, this song has taken on a new and beautiful meaning for me. Now I know what song I'll have playing when I pick her up for lunch tomorrow. Thank you Ozzy 🤟
Ozzy has a voice that can always be recognized. One of the greatest ever. This is true Rock and Roll. I wish we still had rock and roll like back in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Today's music is not rock and roll.
Just lost my dad in February. We told him its ok to go ahead and see his mom again. Leaving the hospital waiting on valet with my 4 siblings and this song starts playing over the loud speakers...
Every time this song plays on the radio, it brings me to tears. I dedicate this song for you. Rest In Peace, Mom. You are deeply missed and I wish I was there with you before you departed from our world into the next 😭
I know how you feel man i was there with my mom when she left i had my hand on her heart i felt the last beat of her heart i don't even remember leaving the hospital ,my condolences to you thomas.

So many stories, so many real life emotional tales shared by the fans all over the world just because of this incredible song. This is a true example that a song can be larger than life. What an epic song... thanks Ozzy for this song. Whenever I play this song, I can't hold my tears. And also an amazing thing is, Lemmy wrote the lyric of it. The song immediately will make you miss your loved ones for sure...
I chose this for my ex bf funeral. Was so apt but didnt want to upset his mum. Everyone said it was perfect. He must be around me as was thinking of this song this morning and came on here to listen and read the comments.

This song was on the radio today as I left a meeting regarding my daughter's health. She has terminal cancer, lives out-of-state and she's coming home to live with us. Yep, mama I'm coming home😢
Heard this on the way to pick my son up from the hospital after a 29 day stay with a 13 1/2 hour surgery to remove cancer. Then we heard it together on the way home and he held my hand and we both cried. I lost him after a 10 month battle, he's really home now. RIP Josh momma loves you 💔 miss you everyday
One of my close Army buddies died in Iraq from an ied. He held on until one of his friends said “Don’t worry about your mother. We’ll take care of her.” After that. He passed. Every time I hear this song. I think of my friend.

My step father died ten years ago. This was his favorite song we were going to play it while they were taking the casket out after the funeral. Something happened and when Amazing Grace was supposed to play, in the middle of the funeral, this came on as we all looked around and started smiling we knew he was there with us. Every time I hear this song I think of that moment, and the best man I knew.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your MOM Please try to stay strong for your Mom its what she wants from you I lost my Mom too on All Saints Day Nov 1 2017 My life is wrecked without her and I don't want to be here anymore and I want to go home too
I've left my home in Eastern Europe 10 years ago, alone, with next no money, leaving behind poverty, corruption, a very difficult and strained relationship with my family, looking for a better life, and a direction of my own. I barely went home, for no more than 6 weeks in total in 10 years. I've known this song since I was 13, I always thought it was a beautiful song, but only after being gone for so long do I understand it fully. I've made ammends meantime and whilst it was written for Sharon, this song makes me think of my mother and my family and it makes my tear up almost everytime. Every time I go home as I reach the airport I blast this in my headphones. Despite everything, I don't even know whether it's tears of sorrow, happiness or missing one's family, but this song brings it all up at once and makes me drop barriers of strength and endurance I've been building for half of my life.
My dad had a very rough childhood. He lost his dad as an infant. He watched his mom get beaten by multiple men she dated. She died before I was born. As a result of his rough childhood (I presume), my dad was an alcoholic. He was a loving father, but he struggled with alcoholism, which ultimately led to his death 10 years ago. He was only 53. I can remember him playing this song when I was young. When I hear it now it makes me think this song made him think of his mom. He's home with his mom now; in heaven or wherever our spirits go when we pass. Happy birthday dad. I miss you.
My heart goes out to you and your family. Some people are such scum that they don't deserve to breath our Air! Although I'm not an aggressive cruel person, I'd have no problem putting a bullet between his eyes! And if I get suspended from FB For saying this then he's as guilty and protecting vermin who deserve to go to hell quickly!!! My HEART GOES OUT TO YOU BROTHER. My childhood was bad but I feel for you my friend. My Mom passed when I was four. The sixties was a time of some medicines just weren't strong enough or lacked different ingredients to make them work! My friend just try to put it all behind you and live the rest of your life loving the people who are around you and truly care about you You'll know who they are and separate the rotten apples. Love you Brother good luck and best of wishes!!!
My dads dad died when he was 3 and he’s mom died when he was 16. He had a abusive step dad and luckily for me he didn’t take his anger out by drinking and instead by playing lacrosse. Sorry for your loss
I thought my childhood was rough but as I grew older I've learned life is simply TOO precious. Your father, a very loving one, although he had to struggle, managed to shield you from all those tragic past it seems. His life was sadly a difficult one. But I think he could smile when he passed because of you. He achieved a great deal - you. Be happy, my friend, he is looking!
My only question is...have you seen a psychiatrist, psychologist? Do you have no where else to share you life story besides here? RIP but give people a break, share your life experience that messed you up with a professional.

Not that it's probably even worth responding to a troll. But as an engineer we were involved in building and repairing roads, hospitals, wells, schools, sewer systems, ect. Along with providing equipment to the local government for their own building projects. That left us a bit to busy to go on any blood thirsty killing runs...

She's there!! Hope you're all having a great time.
If this song doesn't bring out the emotions in you, I don't know what will...

TheHenok30. The bible says that those who accept Jesus into their lives gain eternal life in heaven

My mom passed away in a car accident and I wish I was there to stop her from going. But I want a six feet under song played at my funeral as a joke then get into the more serious songs like this one.
@@henryr.schrader7520 I really appreciate your kind words they mean a lot. I'm sorry you lost you mom. Atleast she is somewhere that she has no worries or fears now. She is able to have peace. Once again thank you so much for your kind words
@@johnallenking5030 stay tough kid you got it Rip brother
2024th. October. And I'm still Ozzyed. And feel that will last forever. Ozzy's voice is magical and unrepeatable. So good. So thanks to him for that!
DeadPool563 that gives me goosebumps....love it!
DeadPool563 when my grandpa passed away 3 years ago a cardinal came up to our house and even when someone moved it didnt fly away. So to this day my family associates cardinals with my grandpa being around.
Yup birds are signs that our loved ones are close and watching to comfort us. Know other people that had that happen.
Word Mr. Pool, Word.
Man I really wish I could relate to you on this I have 2 dad's my step my father my step was abusive my father didn't take time with me... I want to learn about cars mechanics things like that no one took the time with me I hope you got to have that experience with him man bless your fam.
No one covers an Ozzy song and sound's better. Some covers are better than the originals. Never an Ozzy song. His voice is totally unique.
lol it's not even an Ozzy song
Zakk wylde is pretty good
@@nobrainsnoheadache2434 it is an ozzy song though, he just got lemmy to write the lyrics for him
Agreed
This is the voice of God we're talking about.........
No wonder why he’s such a legend. Beautiful vocals.
Until he talks.

Driving home for Christmas, I'm sending my Mama this song as I do every year 🥰
be prepared to do it again!
this song is not about a mother but a woman who broke his hart .. mama is a slang name for ol lady also known as your woman . the fact that people decatate it to their mothers have no knowledge of the meaning ..
My daughter played this for me when she moved east from California to Maryland. Thank you Ozzy for providing a soundtrack for my life. Love you and wish you and your family the best.
Incomparable! Is this your favorite song?

sorry for ur loss
Ozzy doesn’t think he’s talented he doubts himself,! omg he has such a beautiful and unique voice
Same for me! 🙂🤘
😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔
Sadness/tears is what This song makes me feel 😥
Well said
My dad had a very rough childhood.
My friend just try to put it all behind you and live the rest of your life loving the people who are around you and truly care about you
You'll know who they are and separate the rotten apples.
Lovely comment
My only question is...have you seen a psychiatrist, psychologist? Do you have no where else to share you life story besides here? RIP but give people a break, share your life experience that messed you up with a professional.
It's not me, but my momma is going home today. And my heart is breaking so damn much. RIP MOMMA
Omg. I am so sorry
My condolences
On day you will sing this on your way home to see her again
