Dude, I love your lifestyle. I'm a city boy but kinda live the farm life for 15 min when I watch your content. Maybe one day I can own some land and do my thing. But for now I'll keep watching and taking notes. Thanks 👍🏼
Your a true Farmer, and Family. You have alotta land to tend too, and Thank you for everything you do for the land and all. God Bless you and your family!👍👍👍
I have the same issue on my 5075E, the bottom quick coupler has always worked like a champ, the top one has always been difficult. The top coupler has been difficult since the tractor was brand new. Other JD tractor forums report the same thing on the 5055E, 5065E and 5075E tractors in that somehow the top coupler is very difficult. You can clean it regularly and tap the interior ball to ensure no hydraulic pressure is present, but that really doesn't help. It's the upper fitting, somehow. I'm giving up and replacing mine with 1200 hours on the tractor clock. Awesome channel!
I'm a Pennsylvania farm boy that wants your property! I love your volg and I'm sorry about the goats. Farming is a full time job but you're doing great! Keep up the good work brother!
Josh get you a driveway alarm and put the motion activated censor in a good spot where you got a good view put some bait out there and tie it down where a coyote can't drag your bait away and when you laying around and the alarm goes have your gun ready and spat you got you a coyote works wonderfull for me
Josh, you guys have a beautiful place and have come a long way in the videos with working on your farm. Reminds me of our place, a steady work in progress.
Hey Josh! Next time you have this issue try taking a medium nail punch and “lightly” tap in the center of the tractors quick connector. I had mine stuck on the grapple connector by the loader on our H260 loader and it was just stuck preventing the couple from fully seating. Note: wear safety glasses - hydraulic fluid only has one way to go when you do this...your face. Keep it up!
Something that I learned from Coyote America (a book on the history of the coyote in the US) is that female coyotes can change their liter size depending on how many other coyotes are around them. So sometimes removing them can lead to having more because the liters sizes will increase.
Sorry to hear about the baby goats. You should be able to clean and service the removed quick connect and have a spare to keep in the tool box. Usually it’s the little ball bearings that get stuck either by dirt or something on that end.
Hey Josh, goats are not really that hard to take care of, its all about how you manage them. You just need to have things set up differently to make your life easier. Next time you have an issue connecting hydraulics, try releasing the pressure to make hook up easier. Thanks for the vlog, I always enjoy them!
TREE BLOW DOWNS. when trees are growing they get stressed and grow a strong root system according to the wind they receive. when you remove trees you change the amount or direction of wind that the remaining trees receive hence having apparent "healthy established" trees blow over. great vlogs enjoyed in Southport Tasmania the most southern township in Australia possibly your furthest subscriber
Saw the trees for lumber for your future barn ! Get ya some Amish people to build it for ya ! Now that would be a video to top all others ! PLUS you get an amazing barn out of the deal and the goats get a cool new home !
Hello Josh, Thank you for making and sharing so many interesting and helpful videos. Greatly appreciate it. Some time ago you posted a video on replacing the quick coupler on your JD 5065. I have precisely the same problem on my two 5065s and one 5075. I tried a replacement part from John Deere, but that part was not helpful. I am sure you are very busy and it has been some time, but is there any chance you might recall the part number for the new coupler you installed. Thank you very much for your time. Best wishes for an amazing season ahead.
go to green parts online and you should easily be able to find it...if your JD dealer can't give you a part number...then you need a new dealer...this is a very very common part to replace...this part is directly from deere
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Thank you very much, Josh. I will have a look at green parts online. Indeed, I have been a bit disappointed that my dealer was not able to solve the problem straightaway. Thank you very much for your helpful reply.
Josh is it spring in NC? Short sleeves! Winter clearance sale..goata reel out that hay bail....nightvision scope for those yotes or reach out to a trapper in your area but then again the dogs would have to be penned Those yotes are gonna come In downwind
Josh before wasting money on new connectors you need to make sure and have all pressure off the lines before disconnecting, any pressure on these quick connectors will cause lock down. This happens mostly on the male side. I almost guarantee that you will have this issue again. If so push the check ball on the male side if you can't push it in that's going to be the issue. Absolutely do not hit with a hard object but put the ball against something like hard plastic or hard wood the push or strike the ball with a non metallic instrument when the check valve ball moves the pressure is gone you should be ready to connect. Wear face shield when doing the pressure release. To check the one you took off try connecting it now, i bet it will work. Great vlogs bud, b t w the hog vlog brought back memories from the good ole days, the only difference is we used water and burlap bags to scald the hog. I never saw anyone use a vat. Very interesting way. Yep you can learn a lot from a dummy😁😁😂😂 dummy, keep on keeping on my friend and thank you for your armed services!!!!!!!
Lets hope you can lead poison them all Josh ! Great video looking forward to your first hunting vlog ! I’m glad you live somewhere that your still allowed to do what you want on your own property.
Josh if you know a hairdresser get some hair and spread it around it will help deter the foxes as the smell of humans can keep them away , i used to have pet rabbits and guinea pigs it worked for me
So did you try the reconnecting old coupler onto the hose, before installing the new coupler. Sometimes if you don't releave the pressure on the coupler, you're unable to connect.
At 12:00 he said dealer location plays an important role in choosing your tractor. Yeah well we have a New Holland dealer 12 minutes away. We used to have a John Deere dealer 15 minutes away then they move almost an hour away. Way to go John Deere.
It nice and dry on our land it's very strange for us ground is hard enough to drive on in Ireland it's usually very wet in winter it's been a long autumn no winter yet. So times cup link will not contact because of oil pressure behind the cup link on the male or female side so that cup link might be still good.
(Edit: He really did have bad connectors on that tractor. He rang up John Deere and it is a common problem with that model of tractor. ) Normally, before you blame a quick connect as the reason you cannot connect your hydraulics, turn off the tractor and bleed off the oil pressure in both the implement and tractor hydraulics. Any oil pressure in the lines will cause check valves to stay shut and will prevent you from connecting the hydraulic line. .
How about before you come off looking like an asshole, you should offer advice. Try not to sound like some jackass who makes no mistakes. I would be willing to bet you dont get far with people. Just saying

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Josh, Just read your comment. I am sorry, I missed your video about the bad connectors on that model of John Deere Tractor. Watching your video here, when you were demonstrating connecting the bad connectors with the tractor running, I and many other commentors jumped to the erroneous conclusion that you may have just had hydraulic pressure in the lines, as the engine runs the oil pump.
