Fascist policies: Mussolini: 8 hour work day minimum wage worker participation management of industry had been given over to proletariat organizations state secular education progressive tax confiscation of echlesiatical property and revenue. Hitler: Abolition of unearned income confiscation of war profits nationalization of corp profit sharing in industrial enterprises reconstruction of national public education so curriculum is brought in line with practical life creation of a national press prohibition and prosecution of newspapers who put out stories not conducive of national welfare.
More Evidence: In his 1939 indictment of Nazism, Germany Rampant, Hambloch has an entire chapter on political parties under the German Empire before the First World War and political parties under the Weimar Republic. Hambloch lists parts of the “Left,” “Right” and “Centre” in the German Empire pre-1914, but there are no “Left,” “Right” or “Centre” parties in the Weimar Republic, but rather “Weimar Parties, i.e. those who supported the republican constitution,” “National Reactionary Parties” and “Revolutionary Parties.” The Nazis are listed, along with the Communist Party of Germany, as the two “Revolutionary Parties.” Pointedly, the Nazis were not considered a “National Reactionary Party.” Clarification: In 1930, Hitler tasked Hans Buchner to clarify what Nazi economic policies were. What did Buchner elect to call the economic policies of the Nazis? “State socialism.” Socialist supported Hitler's rise to power: Bernard Shaw and other Socialist supported Hitler. "While Parliaments get nowhere, Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin do things" More Policies: As the Nazis began to become a serious political party, in the 1930s, the Nazi deputies introduced a flurry of proposals: 1.To ban trading in stocks and bonds 2. To nationalize all large banks 3. To require registration of stock ownership with a state agency 4. To limit interest by law to five percent. (Bernie and Elizabeth Warren copied this) 5. To confiscate all profits acquired by inflation. These measures were not hidden; they were trumpeted on the front pages of Nazi periodicals to ensure that party members knew what the Nazi Party in the Reichstag was doing. Some Nazi proposals sound eerily modern. The Nazis, for example, proposed that old age and disability benefits (Social Security) be paid out of general revenue, rather than from the contributions of the individual recipient, and that the benefits be indexed to the cost of living.

@@haza6893 Well sure you can categorize ideology itself. But when you groups like the forest brothers which was communists, fascists, nationalists, pro democracy people, Anarchists all united and fighting against the soviets from 1942 ww2 all the way to the1960s and 70s its crazy. Or national bolsheviks which are heavily nationalist while believing heavily in communism, there flag is literally the same design as the german ww2 flag but instead of a black swastika its a black sickle and hammer on a white circle and red background. All I do is learn about military history I myself plan on joining the army and I learn most about ww2 even conflicts before it started like the spanish civil war and none of ww2 is black and white except the main countries that participated and even they are not always clear. There was polish resistance fighters who fought the nazis bravely for years only to be captured and executed by the damn soviets because they were quote “bandits”. So yea I no longer believe in the saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend when they will kill you after the main enemy is dead.
Overall, I think the 2 major party system in the US has created so many problems today. It seems as if either side will do whatever it takes to keep as much of the power as possible. A couple recent examples of this is the Democratic Party pushing the Green Party off the ballot in a couple of the very important swing states, and the Republican Senate pushing for a new SCOTUS nomination before the election, despite not even voting on Obama’s nomination, Merrick Garland, back in 2016. Like George Washington believed, if there were no parties things could be much better. It would also encourage people to do more research to learn about candidates rather than always voting for left or right.
Thanks for this . If only politics was explained this well all the time, we wouldn't feel so confused. I'm in my late 50's and it's taken all these years to try to understand politics, thanks to channels like yours we can all learn more .

Just to correct something, the Right has never been considered Fascist until Google changed the definition. It was always Communism (Left) vs Capitalism (Right).
Well,Polish newspaper when Hitler become Chancellor called his government far-right, reactionary, and anti-social It is political science which Create Modern definition of Left and Right
Depends on which version you use. The European horseshoe model has wings, with both eventually leading to totalitarianism, only real difference is which path is used to get there. On the straight line model, extreme far right is anarchy (0% government / 100% individual rights and responsibilities, while the extreme far left is just the opposite (100% government / 0% individual rights and responsibilities) The original Constitutional Republic of the US (20% / 80%) can not be placed on the horseshoe model, because it doesn't go low enough. The bottom of the horseshoe is democracy (50% / 50%) with both wings leading to more government power. This is a HUGE reason that the media constantly calls America a democracy- because it limits individual rights and responsibilities while advocating for more government control.
This is an excellent video. You are right, Prof Zimmerman, that we need to better understand these topics and concepts ourselves so that we can combat media bias and make decisions based upon fact. All this political talk the past couple years has gotten me more interested in learning about how all this works. I’ve never really been knowledgeable enough on all this stuff to have solid stance on either side but I’m slowly learning which policies and parties I agree with more personally
Funny how Fascism is on the right side of the political spectrum. According to the drawings, Fascism primes for individual liberty, laissez- faire, freedom of speech, government plays a small part. Makes perfect sense.
I think my issue with this example is the left being associated with bigger government, which anarchists and left-libertarians definitely don’t fit yet is considered far-left. At the end of the day the left wishes to reduce hierarchy and the right wishes to enforce it.
The thing is, this is the AMERICAN perspective. In Europe the Right is not so much about individual freedoms - if at all - and more about conservative, religious, traditionalist values. I stick to the European understanding. Also let us remember that Right and Left are historically quite dynamic. Especially Left, which went from radical Social Liberalism of the French Revolution to complete totalitarian Communism a century later. Moderate Liberalism would be the Center (with variation of Center-Left or Center-Right), whereas Fascism and Nazism would be Left-Right Extreme (not simply Left or Right), the opposite of Center.
What I find interesting is that, on a world stage, US politics mostly fall in the center and to the right. Meaning, if you were to plop the Democratic party (our "left-wing" party) in any other country, they'd probably be viewed as a centrist party, while Republicans would be a right-wing party. Bernie Sanders and the more progressive members of the Dems (i.e. the Democratic Socialists) would be your typical center-left to left-wing party, on a global scale. Even more interesting, everyone outside the US flips the color scale. The left is red and the right is blue. Apparently, it was that way in the US until 2000 when the media decided to switch it up, and it's been that way since.
The US was founded on liberalism, with mainstream politics basically just being differences of opinions within the liberal tradition. There have been various socialist movements throughout US history, but they've always been fairly weak for various reasons.
I would say that the Democrats are generally center-right. Progressive faction in the Democratic Party is like center to center-left. (regarding economical issues)
This was awesome. With todays political climate throughout the world more people need to have this basic understanding. This video has definitely answered and raised more questions for me to dive in to, thank you.
Many disagreements in politics are simply caused by misunderstandings about what means what. I’m quite into politics and still get confused on what people see as left and right wing
The right and the left are MAKING it much more black and white today. The divisiveness is horrible and tearing this country apart and each side just blames the other.
Even if you are a moderate (right leaning), you still don't see the false equivalence of saying the left is as responsible for strife as the right is in this country. Who's passing laws restricting people's rights? Who's got armed militias roaming the streets? Who's the side that has growing skepticism in democracy? I'll give you a hint it isn't the left. And even if you don't have a personal problem with gay people your party largely does. Your party is increasingly being influenced by it's worst parts and you're ok with that. People like you enable this behavior by not calling it out and by continuing to normalize and vote for these kooks. You're cool with your gay boss but you'd probably be fine if your boss was a homophobe too.
I do not know where I stand on this understanding of the political spectrum. I believe that all pollution, trash, waste, and sewage needs to be managed much better than it has been managed over the past 50 years. Health and Safety The USA needs to continue working on being a world leader regarding the management of pollution along with "Health & Safety". Some of the ways mentioned on all sides may work. It depends on what the specific details are. Thank you for sharing helpful and informative videos!
Yeah! All sides can be correct depending upon situations and perspectives but i think most people will disagree with the extreme sides to be true most of the times Btw I am a right centrist and i was a far leftist for a long time but soon realised being too woke in itself arises a lot of hypocrisy and since nobody can be completely centrist i see myself as a bit of conservative centrist which suits best according to me for my country politics

In politics, the dividing line between Right and Left can be traced back to two obsessions: - the first (the torment of the Right) is a phobia of elements perceived to be incompatible with commonly used models in society - the second (the bane of the Left) is intolerance of models that appear to be imposed by society. In order to capture the meaning of these lines, we need to step back in time and recall the turmoil we experienced early in life as we began the process of blending into society when, as kids, we entered Planet School- or more precisely, Planet Classroom. Right there in the classroom we’ve all had to deal with a “problem kid”: “bad Johnny”- the student with the disrespectful, smug attitude and less than decent grades, the kid in the back that stole your lunch money, the chronic late-comer who seemed to own a single tattered and over-doodled notebook, the bully you best avoided if you didn’t want to find yourself running home bruised and with a ripped school uniform. The hopeless case that once had the nerve to show his privates to the girl in the second row and who always came back from the boys’ room reeking of cigarette smoke. No doubt that “bad Johnny” has raised concerns- more for some than for others- within the classroom/society. However, we can’t forget that other classmate of ours who is at the root of perhaps even more devastating issues- “Peter goody-two-shoes”. He came from a good family, he always sat in the front row, paid attention in class, gave a helping hand to less fortunate people, had good manners, dressed smartly, respected the teachers, sported perfect hairstyles and neatly organized books. The one who carefully put his school supplies away at the end of class, who always did his homework, who had the best grades- the one who came to school early each morning and couldn’t seem to wait to get started. He was a model to look up to, our term of comparison when we sensed we couldn’t be good enough in the world of social competition. In fact, Peter popped up- in more or less obvious ways- any time our parents scolded us or our teacher criticized us. And it was “Peter good-two-shoes” who really bothered us- especially when we felt his weight bearing down on our heads- a behavioral model imposed upon us by society. It is of the utmost importance to note that, for the purposes of this “treatise”, “Peter goody-two -shoes” should not be considered “good” in an absolute sense- but rather a model society sees in a positive light (not always rightfully so) and, more than that, tries to impose upon us. Similarly, “bad Johnny” does not have to be the bad guy- rather just something society -often erroneously- considers negative. You can see how Peter goody-two-shoes bothers people who are emotionally Left-wing, while an aversion to bad Johnny is the hallmark of Right-wingers. - The idea that humans are intrinsically good belongs to the Left. In this case, “bad Johnny” is not a great danger to society. Leftist ideology borrows Rousseau’s belief that people are good by nature, even if at times they are led astray by society. It is noteworthy that “Peter goody - two - shoes”, the Left’s obsession, represents society and the model it demands to impose. - The idea that some people are naturally diabolical is Right-wing: this belief derives from the suspicion that anyone could be a potential evil “bad Johnny”. In the Right’s vision, inspired by Hobbes, humans are evil by nature. They are always out to swindle, subjugate or rob others: hence the "Homo homini lupus" (man is a wolf for men) idea. In this case, it becomes society’s job to correct “bad Johnny” at any cost, if necessary by “sufficiently persuasive” means. The “Peter goody - two - shoes” theory is therefore a sociologically relevant construct which delineates the meaning of the dichotomous conundrum afflicting each and every one of us in our relationship with society as a whole: - On one hand, the refusal of models society itself endeavours to impose; - On the other, the perception of elements not in line with the dominant paradigms as alien to society. From the book “La morale del biasimo inverso” (The Moral of Inverse Reproach) by Gianfranco Ardisson - edited by Nuova Stampa Color

Being has a tendency to 'return' to clusters ='the nature of solidarity' -a desire for empathy -(Wave)-(yin) and also, Being has a tendency to 'exist' as individuals ='the nature of self-expension' -a desire for breed-(Particle)-(Yang) Likewise, humans have two elements. We must realize that we all have both left and right elements =Solidarity and Self reliance No one has only one element. so 'Sum' derived from 'two poles' , (thesis, antithesis, synthesis) To develop intellect and ethics by harmonizing the two, It is good to realize it and balance it properly But A few people polarized the crowd(political partisanship) without balancing themselves. And They stole only the sum, only the synthesis from the triangle composition. Now We all have to get out of this deceptive situation. This is not the time for us to hate each other. We have to track down those who have been manipulating us.
Great video! You've got me as a subscriber now. As stated in the comments, way to stay unbiased on such a topic. Mostly commenting to leave a small constructive criticism. I was a little surprised to see Facism placed on the Right side of the spectrum as it's just a slight deviance from socialism. Both of which deeply rooted in communism. In the simplistic of explains, the word "facism" refers to a bundle of sticks used for support. Symbolic of people banding together as a communal collective. There is a lot of great info to explain this more elegantly than I have.
Fascism is right wing because of it's obsession with hierarchy and Fascists also privatized state run industry. Left is Socialism and Communism, Center is Capitalism and Right is Fascism broadly in terms of people who actually want the government to exist in the first place. The very first people fascists go after are communists and then social democrats. Communists want equality of people all over the world and fascists want a hierarchy for themselves and every other person on earth to be dead or at least kicked out of their territory. The main difference in the ideology is one believes all people are equal (left) and the other believes that their group is superior to all others by nature (right).
Democrats are left wing for modern standards Real leftism like communism no longer exists as it is so far out of the realm of modern politics It’s just simpler to not even consider it. Same with fascism. It’s never coming back under any circumstances
@@UA-camUser-jb5zp What do you consider modern standards of leftism? The modern standard of leftism in the west is social democracy, which the democrats don't qualify as . The democrats are neoliberals, who are socially progressive and economically liberal. As for the fascism bit, I encourage you to take a look at right wing populism in Europe.
Democrats are leftists, look at politicians like Bernie Sanders and AOC they are very left-wing, support raising minimum wage to 15 hr, support welfare programs, wants to give us FREE healthcare and education, and raising taxes on the rich!!!
Democrats are on the right as well that's mistaken to think they are left leaning, they should be left but they are left of the Republicans but still right leaning
Great video. My one critique: most in the U.S. Democratic party are center-right. The U.S. political spectrum has, since the end of the Cold War, been shifted to the right compared to the rest of the world. The corporate establishment Dems which make up the core of the Democrat Party would be considered right wing in any other country, while the new wave of progressives like Sanders, AOC and Tulsi Gabbard would be in an entirely separate left-of-center party if not for the two-party system. Keep up the good work!!!
hell no, AOC, Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard advocate for socialist policies. Tulsi even a couple days ago wanted to push a pure communistic policy, she wanted to take money from the big businesses that stayed open and then distribute their profits to the businesses that were closed. That's communism! Everyone is on the same level in communism and thats a major step toward it. The modern democratic party wants radical change to the constitution, by not following it and also advocating for socialistic policies with more government intervention such as health care, minimum wage, severe infringements on gun rights and exceedingly high taxes on businesses. that is a socialist state. the modern democratic party in the US is indeed social. The GOP are generally the center right
Be like water, because water can take and flow in all different spectrums, it does not stick too long, it constantly move and adopts the forms and shapes of change.
Left = blue and right = red is an Americanism, the USA switched them. The rest of the world uses left = red (think socialism, communism, UK Labour Party), right = blue (think conservatism, UK Conservative Party).
Fun fact: Fascism is actually on the left, not the right. The Nazis even called themselves "National Socialist German Worker's" party. People at the time recognized them as left- wing. But for some reason, decades later, academics started saying they were actually on the right. After I found out about this history, I looked into it and I agree that Fascism is on the left
Facsim isn't left or right. Hitler hated socialism, capitalism, and communism. The only reason the NAZIs called themselves was to get support from the working class.
Fascism and Nazism are right wing and here's why: Both Nazism and Fascism are very conservative. They believe in strong traditional values in a sense that women's rights and LGBT rights were oppressed. Women were kicked out of any job positions and had to remained in their homes why their husbands had to be in the workforce. Anyone who was gay were killed or exiled from the country. Mussolini and Hitler supported capitalism and they were supported by conservatives as well. They were both opposed to every left wing ideology and they both viewed them as a their biggest threat. Both Mussolini and Hitler were staunch supporters of privatization, they turned a lot of public sectors/business into private sectors/businesses. There is nothing left wing about them.
@@sonysoldier9587 Perfect explanation. Left and Right aren't exclusive to ideas about government intervention. The main point is the belief in hierarchy. The left is against it and the right is for it.

I’ve been hearing a lot lately that fascism isn’t right wing (not sure if true or not) but if it wasn’t right wing then what would be a right wing dictatorship?
Really no such thing. The more left you go the more government control you have. This essentially means that all dictatorships are strictly left-wing. Although it may not seem like it, right-wing ideals wouldn’t work being implemented into an authoritarian government. That’s why the biggest authoritarian countries (Soviet Union, Venezuela, North Korea etc.) they all were dictatorships because the very core idea of being left-wing is more government control. Even seemingly ‘right wing’ countries in history were actually left. If we take a look at Nazi Germany, hitler actually was socialist. Nazi Germany was a socialist country. Although it might not been as extreme as some of the other countries for example the Soviet Union, but all the biggest authoritarian countries in modern times as well as in history have been left-wing. The right-wingers you see on social media waving the Nazi flags? Yea, if might not seem like it but their all socialists. Right-wing has been blown out of proportion. The actual ideologies of right-wingers is just the basic needs to be free and be able to speak their opinion. Capitalism let’s us all have a fair chance to become prosperous in todays society. The most destructive ideologies in history have been that of socialism and other left-wing ideologies. All men are created equal and deserve a fair chance. A chance to live of life of prospering, the way God intended.
Fascism isn’t a right wing ideology It’s to the right of communism but considered to be on the left of American liberals or even the Democratic Party. Nationalism and hierarchy isn’t what defines an ideology as left or right It’s the measurement of how much government control (left) contrasted by individual liberty (right) That measurement works for the economy, culture, religion and anything people are willing to give the government control over everyone’s life
@@MKUltraVictim-sw5qs I understand that the labeling of left-right was first used in France during the French Revolution but the French used it to refer to the binary political factions at the time, the revolutionaries and the monarchists. France didn’t have centrists during the French Revolution Also America didn’t have a monarchist political party when the left right spectrum started being used to describe different political ideologies On the political compass the left right axis is used to measure government control over the economy with the extreme right being zero control over the economy and the extreme left is total government control over the economy. The political compass foolishly added the up-down axis to measure liberty and tyranny or freedom and authoritarianism in order to make people believe that it’s possible for a government to exercise total control and authority over their people’s Labor, wealth, private property and trade with other countries and still have individual liberty
my political ideology is i want to constantly create new nations by splintering the old ones up and absorbing each other like a sort of trotskyist view of separist movements, the revolution never ends right now i want to create an occitian nation in southern france and eastern spain and northern italy and i want their 2 party system to have a moralist party that is economically left and socially right vs bourgeois party centrist but antienvironmental
How about a political spectrum that is Left: authoritarian at one end and Right: Anarchy at the other. It seems to fit better than the "Divided French House" model.
If you absolutely had to point at one, yes. But the right wing still wants a government, however small. Anarchists want no government So they are not even on the axis.
the confusion is that people just assume government is the only power structure in society. Corporate power can be just imposing in lives of people if not more so you are more likely to interact with corporations than you are the government and right wingers will usually advocate to strengthen corporate power over others. Keep in mind a lot of the smalle government changes they want usually come from them attacking stuff like worker and labor rights. Anarchist advocate against that type of corporate power. The difference between the left and right is mostly their relationship with hierarchy. Left wing wants to flatten all forms of Hierarchy hence why Anarchist are the furthest to the left (since they want to live in a world with no hierarchy or no unjust hierarchy) while those on the right want to prop up and stratify hierarchy.
@@johnjacob9741 The only way in which the left wants to "flatten hierarchies" is creating just two classes of people. The rulers and all the other suckers. The right wants a dynamic hierarchy that people can climb through hard work and skill. Also anarchy is not to the left whatsoever, that's ridiculous. It's completely incompatible since anarchy is hyper individualistic whereas left means collectivism.
This is a really great video! However, fascism is left-wing. While Republicans are nationalist, we advocate for individuality from the state. Fascism takes this "we're all in this together" viewpoint in which there is nothing but the state, and that is a left-wing value.
@@robinsss No, that's a left-wing value. People choose to give up their personal freedoms to join the military and serve our country. The right wants people to have personal choice.

“If classical liberalism spells individualism,” Mussolini continued, “Fascism spells government.” - Mussolini
Fascist policies:
Mussolini:
8 hour work day
minimum wage
worker participation
management of industry had been given over to proletariat organizations
state secular education
progressive tax
confiscation of echlesiatical property and revenue.
Hitler:
Abolition of unearned income
confiscation of war profits
nationalization of corp
profit sharing in industrial enterprises
reconstruction of national public education so curriculum is brought in line with practical life
creation of a national press
prohibition and prosecution of newspapers who put out stories not conducive of national welfare.
More Evidence:
In his 1939 indictment of Nazism, Germany Rampant, Hambloch has an entire chapter on political parties under the German Empire before the First World War and political parties under the Weimar Republic. Hambloch lists parts of the “Left,” “Right” and “Centre” in the German Empire pre-1914, but there are no “Left,” “Right” or “Centre” parties in the Weimar Republic, but rather “Weimar Parties, i.e. those who supported the republican constitution,” “National Reactionary Parties” and “Revolutionary Parties.” The Nazis are listed, along with the Communist Party of Germany, as the two “Revolutionary Parties.” Pointedly, the Nazis were not considered a “National Reactionary Party.”
Clarification:
In 1930, Hitler tasked Hans Buchner to clarify what Nazi economic policies were. What did Buchner elect to call the economic policies of the Nazis? “State socialism.”
Socialist supported Hitler's rise to power:
Bernard Shaw and other Socialist supported Hitler. "While Parliaments get nowhere, Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin do things"
More Policies:
As the Nazis began to become a serious political party, in the 1930s, the Nazi deputies introduced a flurry of proposals:
1.To ban trading in stocks and bonds
2. To nationalize all large banks
3. To require registration of stock ownership with a state agency
4. To limit interest by law to five percent. (Bernie and Elizabeth Warren copied this)

The thing about America is that its just so populated. So many opinions.
But a one party system would never work because it’s very easy to start dictator ships

Depends on which version you use. The European horseshoe model has wings, with both eventually leading to totalitarianism, only real difference is which path is used to get there.
On the straight line model, extreme far right is anarchy (0% government / 100% individual rights and responsibilities, while the extreme far left is just the opposite (100% government / 0% individual rights and responsibilities)
The original Constitutional Republic of the US (20% / 80%) can not be placed on the horseshoe model, because it doesn't go low enough. The bottom of the horseshoe is democracy (50% / 50%) with both wings leading to more government power. This is a HUGE reason that the media constantly calls America a democracy- because it limits individual rights and responsibilities while advocating for more government control.

Funny how Fascism is on the right side of the political spectrum. According to the drawings, Fascism primes for individual liberty, laissez- faire, freedom of speech, government plays a small part. Makes perfect sense.
Yes I was wondering about that as well. Sounds like reading off a bad script than really trying to educate.
Nice illustration, man!
Great information!!!! Thank you. I like how simplified it is for everyone to understand. That's all I ask when I am researching information.

Thank you very much! This helps me understand the political parties and spectrum much better!

My personal theory is the far left are people with daddy issues and the far right are people with mommy issues.🤣🤣
In politics, the dividing line between Right and Left can be traced back to two obsessions:
- the first (the torment of the Right) is a phobia of elements perceived to be incompatible with commonly used models in society
- the second (the bane of the Left) is intolerance of models that appear to be imposed by society.
The “Peter goody - two - shoes” theory is therefore a sociologically relevant construct which delineates the meaning of the dichotomous conundrum afflicting each and every one of us in our relationship with society as a whole:
- On one hand, the refusal of models society itself endeavours to impose;
- On the other, the perception of elements not in line with the dominant paradigms as alien to society.

Thank you for such a simple and lucid explanation.
Being has a tendency to 'return' to clusters
='the nature of solidarity' -a desire for empathy -(Wave)-(yin)
and also,
Being has a tendency to 'exist' as individuals
='the nature of self-expension' -a desire for breed-(Particle)-(Yang)
Likewise, humans have two elements.
We must realize that we all have both left and right elements
=Solidarity and Self reliance
No one has only one element.
so 'Sum' derived from 'two poles' , (thesis, antithesis, synthesis)
To develop intellect and ethics by harmonizing the two,
It is good to realize it and balance it properly
But A few people polarized the crowd(political partisanship)
without balancing themselves.

Fascism is left wing. The left just like to pretend it is to their right.
I have only one problem with the video. The US democrats aren’t left wing they are center right(mostly)
That's a good point!
Democrats are left wing for modern standards
Real leftism like communism no longer exists as it is so far out of the realm of modern politics
It’s just simpler to not even consider it. Same with fascism. It’s never coming back under any circumstances
@@UA-camUser-jb5zp What do you consider modern standards of leftism? The modern standard of leftism in the west is social democracy, which the democrats don't qualify as .

Left = blue and right = red is an Americanism, the USA switched them. The rest of the world uses left = red (think socialism, communism, UK Labour Party), right = blue (think conservatism, UK Conservative Party).

3:02 What has nationalism to do with the previous explanation of the right and why are they groupt together?
Nice I like the video you should make another one based on the Overton window
Interesting. I’ll have to look into that. :)
Fascism and Nazism are right wing and here's why:
Both Nazism and Fascism are very conservative.

Fascism isn’t a right wing ideology
It’s to the right of communism but considered to be on the left of American liberals or even the Democratic Party.
Nationalism and hierarchy isn’t what defines an ideology as left or right
It’s the measurement of how much government control (left) contrasted by individual liberty (right)
That measurement works for the economy, culture, religion and anything people are willing to give the government control over everyone’s life
Nope, you couldn't be more wrong.
@@MKUltraVictim-sw5qs
So what is it that the left-right spectrum is measuring to determine the position of a political ideology on this spectrum?
@@MKUltraVictim-sw5qs
I understand that the labeling of left-right was first used in France during the French Revolution but the French used it to refer to the binary political factions at the time, the revolutionaries and the monarchists. France didn’t have centrists during the French Revolution
Also America didn’t have a monarchist political party when the left right spectrum started being used to describe different political ideologies
On the political compass the left right axis is used to measure government control over the economy with the extreme right being zero control over the economy and the extreme left is total government control over the economy. The political compass foolishly added the up-down axis to measure liberty and tyranny or freedom and authoritarianism in order to make people believe that it’s possible for a government to exercise total control and authority over their people’s Labor, wealth, private property and trade with other countries and still have individual liberty
Fascism is sooooo right wing lmao

right now i want to create an occitian nation in southern france and eastern spain and northern italy
and i want their 2 party system to have a moralist party that is economically left and socially right vs bourgeois party centrist but antienvironmental

who is watching this to see who to vote?
Do your own unbiased research or else, don't vote.
How about a political spectrum that is Left: authoritarian at one end and Right: Anarchy at the other. It seems to fit better than the "Divided French House" model.
We should share these with the kids
So what if i agree with social equality, individual freedom and no government? am i rift? Or maybe legt...
So if the right represents less government, Anarchism is far right. Does that sound right?
Anarchy is NEVER associated with the right wing
Exactly!
the idea that we should sacrifice anything, even our personal freedom , for the sake of the country , is a right wing concept
@@robinsss No, that's a left-wing value. People choose to give up their personal freedoms to join the military and serve our country. The right wants people to have personal choice.
Fascism and Nazism is right wing and here's why:
Both Nazism and Fascism are very conservative.
@@jeremiahyonemura Yeah that's why the right loves the military so much????
