@@agrippa7712 The reunion was for only ten days, so very fast and bittersweet. She was jet-lagged by the time difference and desperate to get a lot of personal business done while in the states. Next time, I’ll be going to her and it won’t be so rushed!

My mother passes away in September 2020 from covid. We are 12000 miles apart. And I couldn’t even go to see her last time.

I remember one of the last times my grandma came to visit. I was making a snack before bed, eggs or something, as I was standing in front of the stove Grandma came and hugged me from behind. She just held me and gently rocked back and forth. It was very random and soothing. She was the sweetest lady.

This just reminds me of when I met my mum for the first time in 11 years back in 2017, I went into foster care when I was 4 years old, and 11 years later got to meet my mum, and my 2 baby sisters I didn't know about untill that first phone call, I won't ever forget that day, I recently turned 18 and left foster, and it just seems like life is back on track.

What happened that made you go into foster care?
Its a little hard on the boy who met his father after 12 yrs in... like this was not very private and seems shoking to him. I felt sad because kids needs time and privacy

My Dad died before I go abroad..and my mom died while I am here away from our country….for both occasions haven’t have the chance to say goodbye….

So that graduation was about a knowledging and celebrating years of hard work of hundreds of people - students, parents, teachers - and you made it all about one person. That surprise reunion could have been staged in a way that didn't rob everyone else of their special moment
Your commentary is fine, but some of them are cut off to soon at the end. Like the one with the 41yrs, we saw her whole trip but there was no meeting up at the end, just her walking to him and then a different video before we got to see them together. There were others too, that one was just the worse one.
