Yes! I really love the fact that she have a strong confidence in her crew. Because of her backstory she could be one of that characters who speaks 'everyone goes away one day. I can't trust cause it's gonna hurt me' and Oda makes the totally opposite with her! AND I LOVE IT!

It's practically a joke straight out of One Piece itself, where Luffy will see something he doesn't quite understand and go "Oh I get it, it's magic right?".
The Best part about Luffy and Robin is that Robin "Gets" Luffy more than anyone else. She can speak his language, understand his mind and the neatest of all is that whenever Luffy nicknames someone cause he doesn't feel like remembering their name, that's also what Robin calls them. It happens over and over.
Spoilers… I think the best example of this is when luffy can’t remember who Marco is and robin reminds him he looks like a pineapple and then luffy remembers
Robin is this way with all the crew members in a sense. Even from the moment she joined the crew, remember how it happened, she just landed on the ship and knew what to say to everyone to keep them at ease. Next day, she was one of them. Robin isn't just about Luffy, she just gets people and situations very easily.

THANK YOU. Chopper had a lot of development this arc. He gets so much shit for "NoT DoINg AnYThiNg" after the timeskip. Simply because he doesn't have a lot of fights. But he SHINES as a doctor. The purpose of his existence in the crew.
Very true... I still want some Chopper fights tho 🤔 To play devil's advocate, every time Chopper shines as a Doctor is basically him just going "this goes against my morals as a doctor/scientist so Im gonna fix this and tell you how much of a POS you are" every time...
I'd like to think that before that legend came, she was already intrigued with the series because in her other videos there are a lot of people who would comment about One Piece. It really feels like whereas Paradise was about separate stories, New World is about one overarching storyline. Pre-timeskip is more character focused, post-timeskip is more plot focused. It's a very different vibe for the two halves of the series.
@@alfred4576because a lot is going on all around the world and it feels like the story has taken the center stage and all the characters, may it be the STRAWHATS, the black beard pirates, red hair pirates and the world government as general are all revolving around it in whirlpool and at one point all will come together and finally the story will explode
Being caught up, I think I finally understand why I didn't like post timeskip as much as pre-timeskip. Pre-timeskip is many 'contained' stories. Post timesksip is 1 huge arc that is divided into many parts. And as you get more of the parts, the more you appreciate the previous parts.
I can see where you’re coming from! I feel that pre-time skip has such a different feel from post-time skip that I can’t fairly compare them. But yeah, post ts feels very connected while pre ts feels like the wacky misadventures of the straw hat crew lol
Because their goals lies in new world. This is when things get serious and they focus less and less on adventure and more on working towards the goals coz they are strong enough and is involved with big guns of the world. So Pre timeskip is more about building the world and adventure and post timeskip is about the actual challenges to reach their goal imo.
There's a reason why first half of the Grand Line was named Paradise and second half was named New World. If we are to bring the mindset of Paradise to New World, there will be a lot of discontentment. Which a lot of haters are exhibiting. It isn't just Straw Hats anymore. It's bigger than them and a lot of players are on the move in the New World. I hope people can understand the depth of the story and not just on the surface. That's why, every arc just gets longer.
Law did the body swap because he needs Luffy to stick around. And they need law to fix it. Like it guarantees the straw hats won’t leave the island. That’s what people think at least
Didn’t he also need to play his role as an ally to Ceasar’s group in the first half until he could get to the SAD area? As a warlord he needed to do a little acting too.
On the Robin/Luffy relationship, keep an eye out for luffys nicknames for people. Robin is the only other crew member who adopts his nicknames for people- it’s a small but great part of their dynamic
With the exception of Law. Everyone calls him Tra-guy. Thanks to that, some of the samurai think that's his actual name, and call him "Tra-guy-dono", "Tra-guy-sama* or other combinations of Tra-guy and honorifics, and that's hilarious. I love when Shirahoshi does that, too, with "Luffy-sama's Grandpa-sama" or "Nami-chin-sama". Great gag.
I love how that's just how Luffy answers any and every "phone call". Imagine him at help desk or something. "Hello? this is Monkey D. Luffy, I'm gonna be King of the Pirates, How my I help you?" lololol

When people say „Nothing so far lived up to Marineford” they are forgetting that Marineford took years and years of build up and could only be this great because of many arcs that came before it. Its not fair at all to compare a regular arc to the huge climax of the whole first part of the story that needed so many parts to be this huge and hype. And Oda is currently doing the exact same thing with everything that happened so far in the New World.

Thats EXACTLY it, but you know how it is. Your typical shounen fan tends to lack critical thinking skills. This is the reason why Wano is hitting so hard, same for Whole Cake. It'll be the same for whatever comes after Wano too, there's nowhere to go but up from this point forward

Robin x Luffy is such an underrated dynamic Post-time skip becomes so much more about the characters the strawhats meet rather than the strawhats themselves, but she always shines even when she doesn't have all that much to do. I love how she ends up using the same nicknames for people that Luffy uses... You can just tell she finds so much joy from how Luffy is, she probably the least bothered by his antics of anyone on the crew.
Also, Robin was the last one to be sent off by Kuma before the timeskip and the one that was in more need to be saved, so she has a special connection with Luffy and the crew, but of course, bigger connection with Luffy and Nami.
Robin fully gives me the impression that she has been through hell and couldn't be happier being free with Luffy, no matter where Luffy's antics or journey takes her. @@Bogglemanify of course, the anime for a serialized manga itself is intrinsically disadvantaged to have pacing issues. Except watching weekly, while binging, anime is a pretty great experience as it has great voice acting, BGMs, animation, cinematography making Oda's story alive. And while binging the unnecessary fluff which spoils the pacing can be skipped. we always have our weapon for it (Ctrl+Right arrow). Only when it comes to weekly consumption, I can't imagine how excruciatingly slow anime can be. BUT, I'm glad I caught up just before entering Wano. The Animation is taken to next level and Wano's character designs are heightened by the animea artstyle. MOST IMPORTANTLY, many manga fans said Wano manga is super fast at times (being so condensed and jam-packed) and needs little bit elaboration. This is perfect opportunity for anime to use it's obligation to add fluff, for A CONSTRUCTIVE PURPOSE and add additional value to the manga in pacing dept. However, to be frank, those moments that felt rushed in manga are expanded and feel lot better in anime when coupled with new animation and all, But there are still issues as at times anime becomes so slow as they adapt 1/3rd of a chapter for an anime sometimes. Hence, I suggest if anyone just entered wano, either read manga weekly or watch anime once in two weeks. BOTH ways are equally enjoyable. Manga provides beautiful handdrawn artwork of Oda and highpaced, fresh story ahead of time. Anime adds its flavor of extravagant animation, vibrant colors and improved pacing in Wano, and brilliant heart-moving Voice acting and BGMs but will be 1 year behind in the storyline. Both are great ways to consume one piece and it all comes to personal choice. For me personally, I prefer BGMs and voice acting in Japanese... Even though I read the corresponding manga chapter after every 2 or 3 episodes, I play BGMs and character's voices in my head while reading manga. However, It becomes problematic (especially for one piece) as I imagine one piece world though Japanese audio and reading manga in English feels unnatural to me (for one piece) as I bonded with those characters with those speech patterns. Also I don't know kanji to an extent where I can read Japanese version of manga and my Japanese vocabulary only helps 60% of the time. Anyway, since I'm predominantly an anime watcher who watches 2 episodes back to back once in two weeks and read manga chapters after corresponding to the episodes I catch up. Based on all my experimentation of different methods of consumption of one piece, this is what I feel is the best way, at least for me.

Seeing the kids go through the withdrawal in the anime at least really sold this arc for me. I was actually really shocked that Oda would show us this. I was in tears hearing them scream out in pain and Moccha saving the rest of them and Chopper getting intensely angry at Ceaser was so much emotion for me I had to sit for a bit after those episodes.
We need a Buggy to be the last one to join the strawhats. Like, he goes up and up and up, than falling down after everyone discovers that he ia fraud, and then Luffy saves him.

"Luffy pulls the butt of the samurai out of the dragon" You know, sometimes I wonder why people don't give starting One Piece a shot and then I get reminded by phrases like that how random the series must seem to a non-fan.
"Luffy escapes prison with the help of a transvestite monarch who uses their giant head to break through walls." Convincing people that it makes sense in context takes some doing.
Law's power allows him to create a "room" which gives him the means to manipulate anything inside of it. This is why he is called the surgeon of death. Not only is he a doctor, but the "room" is like his own personal operating room. Monet's loyalty is to Doflamingo, not Cesar. Maybe watching the anime would've framed that a lot better. This is why she is willing to die what seems so easily at the command of Doflamingo in Chapter 693. I apologize for nitpicking the details but that is one of the many reasons One Piece is a such an amazing series. My intention isn't to be negative on your takes of the different arcs as I generally find it interesting to see your opinion as you're going through the manga. Some of the foreshadowing can also be missed, but I'm glad you try to catch everything you can. Regardless, I do enjoy the videos.
Despite the fruit's name, that's... not even a little bit accurate. I've never heard of an operating room where things can instantaneously swap places at a thought, or where body parts can be arbitrarily cut and stitched together in arbitrary ways with each other and random inanimate objects and stay perfectly functional no matter what, or where gravity can be selectively disabled on a per-object basis. The only real similarity his fruit has to an operating room is the fact that its powers create a room from which to operate. And the name.

I really just wish they'd clarify in advance what seeds Usopp has and what they do to force Oda to have to work within those established limits in how our sniper king deals with new challenges. @@Dark_Jaguar I agree... Tho maybe Usopp deserves to be batman 🦇 at this point. Hopefully we'll get more info on his kit during a potential future Usopp focused arc!!!
@@zooidic Thank you, and you may have a point, Batman is the only place left to ascend to after godhood. That said, I want to be clear that I don't want Ussop's kit revealed purely because I'm curious. For example, Gandalf's exact power set is best left mysterious, due to it's rather fuzzy nature and it's roll in that story. Usopp's special equipment though starts to undermine that "down to earth" nature of how he's won a lot of his fights, in that he has to come up with some way to pull out a win using only the limited tools we already knew he had going into the fight. It's their creative use we cheer for. So, by revealing the entirety of his toolkit now (with a few bonus exceptions explicitly called out as "this one's a secret, I only have 4 that won't grow on the Sunny so I'm saving them for an emergency") we set up an expectation and an understanding of just where his limits are to make future desperate fights actually feel amazing when he manages to pull a win out of those tools.
@@lolax121 Just to cite an example and how his use only of things we were already aware of dramatically improved the nature of the fight, remember that time when he fought Luffy and really held his own? We all do, it's of the most beloved moments in the series. When he pulled out all those tricks, each one of which was foreshadowed in previous issues and arcs, and demonstrated just how well Ussop could creatively use those things in a fight he was truly serious about, well I was internally cheering for him, even as I knew how wrongheaded he was over what he was fighting about. If he'd just popped out a bunch of random shells with effects we'd never seen before from Skypeia rather than sticking only with the shells we'd already been introduced to, I think it would have hurt the fight in a big way.
cool thing too is that wano was mentioned all the way back in thriller bark from the zombie ryuma, the zombie who gave zoro a new sword, and was the sword that kinemon was interested about
Merph's observations about Kinemon has made me respect Oda's writing even more. I didn't notice that Oda paid attention to the way Kinemon speaks and the types of words he uses. Wow
I was so surprised by that in the anime. Because my cousin loves to watch Samurai X and anything to do with samurais, so I knew there was Old Japanese and Modern. The Straw Hats use a very casual language that I could hear in a highschool anime. But Kin'emon sounds like Samurai X teleported from the 1800s to the world of One Piece!!!
Yeah but tbh there's lots of Japanese dialects used in one piece (to show that there's people from all over that have different customs) but the samurai dialect is probably the easiest to show in English (by using old english ~ Edo period Japan)
When people dump on New World arcs it’s usually Fishman Island and Punk Hazard, so it bodes well that you enjoyed them both. In my opinion it’s all up from here. The pacing suffers a little bit but that’s a bi-product of Oda setting up more complex plots.
As always, Merphy's theories are... fascinating, that's all I can say since I'm up to date with the manga, but I'm hype that you get to enjoy one of the best arc of One Piece, Dressrosa is truly amazing.
@@Humanitys_weakest Yeah, 2 of the reason its hated is 1st, because of the pacing issues of the anime, the manga version had 102 chapters, while the anime had 118 episode, when normally a single episode of any anime adapts between 2-3 chapters per episode and yet, the anime went overboard in episodes, then 2nd is being long, it lasted for 2yrs and people got tired of reading it weekly.
Next arc is long and has a reputation for being dragging (like the arc after after it) but like you said with Punk Hazard its more a product of being a weekly reader at the time (which I was). Upon re-reading / binging and not needing to wait it was a looot better
This is true for all the arcs tbh. Everything feels way faster on a re-read. I just finished mine and Whole Cake Island went by waaaay faster than I remember
A lot of newer fans only caught up at Dressrosa and as such it was their first week to week experience. Having been weekly since Skypiea it was something I'd experienced for years, so Dressrosa didn't bother me, apart from the section before the finale, that was the only time I've had real issues and Oda took a lot of breaks during that time as well
I've been having this debate with many One Piece fans who say these arcs in the New World drag and arent as good. It's just the week-to-week reading. If you can sit down and read it all in a few sittings, feels sooooo much better. I can't wait for the current arc to wrap up so I can just put it down for a few years and come back and enjoy a ton of awesome stories. Been reading this for 20+ years at this point
Upon rewatching this, I realized I forgot to mention something: I think there's a bit of intentionality on the kids being so bland at the beginning: so that we consider not helping them as a possibility. Luffy would immediately help, no questions asked, but Luffy was NOT there when they met the kids. In fact, for the most part, Luffy didn't even know about the kids. So his crewmates, and us as well, are left to decide on their own what approach to take: The "practical" (for lack of a better word), embodied by Sanji (but might as well have come from Zoro or Franky) correctly assessing that they were in no position to care for them at that moment; or the "emotional", that came from Nami (but could've come with the exact same words from Chopper, and would've definitely come from Luffy), preventing her from turning her back on a crying child. I'm not positive about this, nor am I trying to defend beyond reason Oda's shortcomings, but if we cared for the children from the get go, there would've been no room for that question. This is something that came to me entirely in retrospect upon re-reading for the Nth time (when re-reading along the Rant Café's One Piece Virgin series). No matter how good an author is, they will make mistakes, and they will handled situations and characters in ways you don't like, don't agree with, or don't fit the character as well as it should. From Tolkien to Shakespeare, from Golding to Hesse, from Dick to Oda. I'm not trying to add intentionality to what really looks like a shortcoming. But I saw it fits, and now I cannot unsee it
Welcome to the New World, where arc pacing of weird cause Oda is playing a LONG game (longer than usual) with lots of seed planting that won’t bear fruit for hundreds of chapters yet. Every arc going forward is gonna be like this, so prepare for long stretches of stuff that seems less than relevant now before getting to the meat of the arc.
"Week to week on this one must have been rough" Me getting flasbacks of Dressrosa: *sweats* In my case I really liked Punk Hazard the first time I watched it and for a long time I thought it was the funniest arc yet of One Piece for how much I laughed throughout it. On a rewatch I did once tho I was like this is WAY darker than I remember
"Week to week on this one must have been rough." Yeah. Yeah it was. How rough? I put one piece down until this arc finished so I could binge it and get it over with. After fishman island, I was so excited for where we'd be going next, only to get... this... Good news, though: Dressrosa makes up for this SO MUCH. And Brook being so calm in the face of danger makes perfect sense: he has no life to lose! Yohohoho!
Punk Hazard is pretty universally considered one of the weakest arcs in a vacuum, but it is INSANELY important for setting up basically the entire rest of the series. Also, YES to loving Luffy and Robin interactions!! They have probably my favorite dynamic out of all of the crew, it's so subtle but so lovable.
@@rafaelandrade7627 Zou is the interlude of the saga, since it presents new goals, information and setup. In my opinion better then Punk Hazard in also telling a good side story on top.
Punk Hazard is the Long Ring Long Land of the New World. A slow-burn yet fun setup for a GREAT arc. Even Aokiji “coincidentally” appears on both. You’ll learn to appreciate it more when you read Dressrosa because Law and Doflamingo’s character dynamics’ one of the best in the series. Plus, I strongly believe you’ll probably change your opinion about it after you reach the current arc. Oda’s long term storytelling is undeniably one of the best.
Don't you dare compare Punk Hazard to that awful Long Ring Long Island. I choose to ignore this awful arc as much as I can, but I hate it so much. In my personal canon it never happened. I hope it doesn't come up in any arc to come. It made me stop reading one piece for 2 weeks and I considered dropping the manga, because of it.
@@admiralmonocle3874 There are some theories out there that predict Long Ring Long Island arc is not only important but absolutely central to some of the biggest lore reveals coming in One Piece.
I just want to say, Law is my favorite character. I hope he makes it in your top 5 list someday. Also, its Dressrosa and Underworld like the criminal underworld. Punk Hazard much like Water 7 is a set up arc, with its own Enies Lobby. P.S. the emperor is Kaido and he was mentioned during Marineford. He's the one Shanks somehow dealt with before arriving on Marineford.
I think Water 7 works betten than Punk Hazard on its own. There are a few arcs that set up the next ones: Little Garden, Jaya, Zou but I feel Punk Hazard is probably the least enteteining (many cool moments but still).
For those of us who have made it to Wano, looking back at Punk Hazard and realizing how far we've come is mind blowing. Merphy has no idea how far into the future she's looking.
Misfit is such a breath of fresh air in that whole power fantasy demon lord genre with its self-awareness...hyped asf for S2 and it's boutta be two cours😩😩
Merphy I think you're gonna end up like me. I'm up-to-date and there is no arc I dislike. There are arcs I have a lot of complaints about, but ultimately I end up still liking the arc. Dunno why One Piece does this to me but It's certainly more enjoyable this way.
The highs are higher than anything else I've seen and the lows aren't that big of a deal. One Piece has me saying "this is the best thing ever" on a daily basis.
@@shabeehhaider2553 wano is the best one afterwards indeed, but it's also contending with marine ford as one of the best in the series. The latter arcs have only been slightly dislikable for their length, which only really manifests for weekly readers / watchers.
@@shabeehhaider2553 Dressrosas pacing is perfectly fine when you binge read it IMO. Most new readers who have the chance to experience the arc in one go are loving it generally. And Zou is generally pretty well liked for being a short transition arc.
"Fighting with heat, fighting with ice, and just being a badass" Very good ways to describe all three of them, I also really enjoy their sword styles with Brook using 1 sword, Kin'emon using 2, and Zoro using 3. It really makes them seem like such a solid group.
I always really liked Punk Hazard, and it turns out a lot of the "unnecessary" stuff in the arc is setup for later arcs. That's the thing with post time skip. The arcs aren't self contained little entities where we meet new crewmembers. It's all a big story, setting up everything that comes after it.
Do you think Merph is aware the first scans pop out on Friday mornings and she's got an algorithm gold mine for One Piece fans with her release schedule? Daniel should learn his Goblin place releasing on Wednesday.
Already for 3 months my fridays have been joy, as I have watched Merphy going through arcs with intensity and love that I feel I have for the series, even for arcs like Punk Hazard.. Truly I must thank you for this, it is always fun to watch these videos. Now I can't wait to be in Dressrosa for 3 weeks, beats the years we spent there in real life waiting for chapters :,D
FYI - best to describe Law's DF is he is like a surgeon on an operating table, he creates a room - the bubble in Law vs Smoker, and do whatever he wants cut or swap anything including himself with the confines of the room or bubble :)
Loved the excitement for the dragon and then the "They did eat it ._. " additional take xD Also the Buggy D. Clown dabbing the admirals. You're embracing the powers of the next King And in Dressrosa... you'll know another God
One small payoff in this arc I loved is Luffy’s poison immunity following impel down. I feel like we don’t often seeing Luffy directly addressing the events of Impel Down/Marine Ford and so to see him have a reason to not only talk about but smile about this really traumatic thing in his past brought me this little sense of peace or hope or something like that.

"He deserves all the recognition that he didn't deserve" ~Merphy 2021
Hmmmmm
The voice actor (Chou) did total justice to that scene in the anime!!!! I still get goosebumps thinking about that interaction with Brook. SO BADASS!!
@@gauthamvadlamudi3500 Tbh, the anime does a good job at adapting the impactful moments of OP, it's the stuff between those moments that it sucks at.

Ceaser being "weak" just shows how important learning haki was for luffy and his crew. Without haki ceaser would easily beat them since he has a logia devil fruit. I wouldn't say he was weak, he just wasn't strong enough, because he was depending on his devil fruit too much.

Some of the foreshadowing can also be missed, but I'm glad you try to catch everything you can. Regardless, I do enjoy the videos.
Law can practically do everything with his fruit that you can do in an operating room. That is why he says “Room” whenever he lets the sphere appear.

It's just sorta a different direction to get to Franky impromptu building a bridge in Thriller Bark.
I really just wish they'd clarify in advance what seeds Usopp has and what they do to force Oda to have to work within those established limits in how our sniper king deals with new challenges.
@@Dark_Jaguar we have NEVER known the extent of the tools ussop has
@@lolax121 Just to cite an example and how his use only of things we were already aware of dramatically improved the nature of the fight, remember that time when he fought Luffy and really held his own? If he'd just popped out a bunch of random shells with effects we'd never seen before from Skypeia rather than sticking only with the shells we'd already been introduced to, I think it would have hurt the fight in a big way.

When people dump on New World arcs it’s usually Fishman Island and Punk Hazard, so it bodes well that you enjoyed them both. In my opinion it’s all up from here. The pacing suffers a little bit but that’s a bi-product of Oda setting up more complex plots.

Exactly Dressrosa is one of my favourite arcs, it gets too much hate
From what I've heard I'm pretty sure it's because of reading it weekly on a reread you can go as slow or as fast as you want to
@@Humanitys_weakest Yeah, 2 of the reason its hated is 1st, because of the pacing issues of the anime, the manga version had 102 chapters, while the anime had 118 episode, when normally a single episode of any anime adapts between 2-3 chapters per episode and yet, the anime went overboard in episodes, then 2nd is being long, it lasted for 2yrs and people got tired of reading it weekly.
"This must've been rough week to week."
Me: *Thousand yard stare*
Bah! Punk Hazard was a pleasant walk in the park compared to Dressrosa.
Having been weekly since Skypiea it was something I'd experienced for years, so Dressrosa didn't bother me, apart from the section before the finale, that was the only time I've had real issues and Oda took a lot of breaks during that time as well
Dressrosa was tough week-to-week, but it's a good binge read. There's a reason it's among one of the most popular OP arcs
Not to mention I feel like Dressrosa was one of the arcs that suffered most from the anime slowing down its pacing (so, so, so many flashbacks)
Punk Hazzard in a nutshell: too many hanging threads, great setup, fart-talking jigsaw samurai. Also Traffy and Smokey!
Me, knowing dressrosa: See you in 3 weeks Murph. That should be enough time to fully digest the arc.
Edit: called it lol.
But I saw it fits, and now I cannot unsee it
Always appreciate the enthusiasm that Merphy has. 😃
Wish I could show enthusiasm when U talk. I sound like a robot

Eeeeh Long Ring Island is hilarious
Don't you dare compare Punk Hazard to that awful Long Ring Long Island. I choose to ignore this awful arc as much as I can, but I hate it so much. In my personal canon it never happened. I hope it doesn't come up in any arc to come. It made me stop reading one piece for 2 weeks and I considered dropping the manga, because of it.
@@admiralmonocle3874 There are some theories out there that predict Long Ring Long Island arc is not only important but absolutely central to some of the biggest lore reveals coming in One Piece.
@@maybeitsyou1317 I know, because of the origin of the davi backfight, right? I still hope they never mention this arc ever again.
Aokiji entrance was like post credit scene
I just want to say, Law is my favorite character. I hope he makes it in your top 5 list someday. Also, its Dressrosa and Underworld like the criminal underworld. Punk Hazard much like Water 7 is a set up arc, with its own Enies Lobby.
P.S. the emperor is Kaido and he was mentioned during Marineford. He's the one Shanks somehow dealt with before arriving on Marineford.
Week to week was very rough on this one.
I think Water 7 works betten than Punk Hazard on its own. There are a few arcs that set up the next ones: Little Garden, Jaya, Zou but I feel Punk Hazard is probably the least enteteining (many cool moments but still).
@@nikcantsnipe Also, Law is in my top 3 characters, she's definitely gonna love him in the future.
For those of us who have made it to Wano, looking back at Punk Hazard and realizing how far we've come is mind blowing. Merphy has no idea how far into the future she's looking.
Merphy: "They found a way to not die unless they're killed"
Anos Voldigold: "Did you really think killing me would be enough to make me die?"
Misfit is such a breath of fresh air in that whole power fantasy demon lord genre with its self-awareness...hyped asf for S2 and it's boutta be two cours😩😩
Shirou Emiya : People die when they are killed
Anos solos One Piece.
I love Robin's outer darkness and inner cuteness
Merphy I think you're gonna end up like me. I'm up-to-date and there is no arc I dislike. There are arcs I have a lot of complaints about, but ultimately I end up still liking the arc. Dunno why One Piece does this to me but It's certainly more enjoyable this way.
The highs are higher than anything else I've seen and the lows aren't that big of a deal. One Piece has me saying "this is the best thing ever" on a daily basis.
the good news is that punk hazard is the last arc that is possible to dislike. the next ones are so good..
@@PROPAROXITONO Agreed. Dressrosa's pacing could be an issue tho.
"Fighting with heat, fighting with ice, and just being a badass"
Very good ways to describe all three of them, I also really enjoy their sword styles with Brook using 1 sword, Kin'emon using 2, and Zoro using 3. It really makes them seem like such a solid group.
Punk hazard will always hold a special place in my heart as the arc where the pacing in the anime became so bad it forced me to become a manga reader.
I always really liked Punk Hazard, and it turns out a lot of the "unnecessary" stuff in the arc is setup for later arcs. That's the thing with post time skip. The arcs aren't self contained little entities where we meet new crewmembers. It's all a big story, setting up everything that comes after it.
As someone who is reading the manga weekly I always stop with what I’m doing and watch these videos instantly whenever they come out
Do you think Merph is aware the first scans pop out on Friday mornings and she's got an algorithm gold mine for One Piece fans with her release schedule?
Daniel should learn his Goblin place releasing on Wednesday.
@@charlesacker9174 maybe, probs not but Roger might've told her
You want dragons huh? You are gonna love a certain arc.
I choked on my food when you used that picture of Buggy at Marineford lmao. I wasn't expecting that one haha
Thank you, Merphy. You are one of the best things to happen to the One Piece community in a long time!
"week to week on this one must have been rough" she says. (Silent tear)
Sometimes when Oda's not up for the task, we gotta wait month to month... :')
Ah yes... The arc that has a dragon with a half bottom of a samurai that can communicate via farts. Oda, godspeed you magnificent soab
" additional take xD
Also the Buggy D. Clown dabbing the admirals. You're embracing the powers of the next King
And in Dressrosa... you'll know another God
